INTEGRATION VERSUS DEDICATION IN ROMANIAN MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SYSTEMS
The technologies supporting future business must be intuitive from a user standpoint, flexible from design standpoint and highly productive. As an answer to many requirements, analysts recommend the inclusion of SOA and ESB in the IT management strategies, since these tend to become mainstream, overcoming their abstract vision status in the last decade. In this paper, we provide a study regarding the attitude of companies from north-western Romania with respect to this transition and the SOA&ESB models. Francesco Dell'Orso, pioniere dell'automazione bibliotecaria in Italia e autore di numerosi manuali e articoli di informatica documentaria, è scomparso il 17 maggio 2015. Era stato bibliotecario all'Università degli Studi di Perugia dal 1977 al 2012, vicepresidente e poi presidente dell'AIB Umbria dal 1983 al 1987, attivo in riunioni e convegni nazionali e internazionali della professione, membro del comitato scientifico di ESB Forum dal 2013.
In occasione del primo anniversario della sua morte ESB Forum ha voluto offrire a Francesco Dell'Orso un ricordo e un omaggio, dedicandogli alcuni contributi che sono stati pubblicati online fra il 17 maggio 2016 e il 17 maggio 2017, in risposta a una "call for papers" lanciata a metà aprile 2016

Alternative Marketingformen, die bei potentiellen Kunden für Aufmerksamkeit sorgen, sind heute bei Unternehmen mehr denn je gefragt. Bei der Entscheidung für innovative Marketingstrategien stehen die Anzahl der zu erreichenden Menschen und die Intensität der Aufmerksamkeit im Vordergrund. Der vorliegende Beitrag untersucht das Phänomen des Flashmobs im Hinblick auf die Möglichkeit, Flashmobs als Marketingtool zu benutzen. Durch die Organisation, Durchführung und Analyse des ersten ESB-Flashmobs werden Ergebnisse wie Wirkung, Verteilungsrate und Kosten eines Flashmobs zueinander ins Verhältnis gesetzt. Im Besonderen wird auf die Entstehung und Verteilung eines Flashmob-Virals eingegangen. Der Beitrag zeigt auf, wie effektiv das Marketing mit Flashmobs das virale Potential des Internets und internetfähiger Mobilgeräte ausschöpfen kann
System orchestration in Open ESB environment
Lielas organizācijas, kurām ir daudzas iekšējas un ārējas savstarpēji pieslēgtas IT sistēmas, mēģina atrast risinājumu kā vieglāk vadīt šīs sistēmas. Viens no tādiem risinājumiem ir ESB produkti. Bakalaura darbs ir veltīts vienam no tādiem produktiem – Open ESB. Par piemēru ir paņemts reāls projekts, kurš strādā, balstoties uz šo risinājumu. Darbā ir apskatītas izstrādes tehniskās nianses, kas bija neviešamas, lai realizētu projektu. Ir apskatīti vairāki risinājuma modeļi, no kuriem daži bija neveiksmīgi. Balstoties uz autora pieredzi, ir izanalizēts Open ESB produkts un atrasts gan pozitīvais, gan negatīvais tā pielietojumā.
Darbā ietvaros analizēti arī Open ESB aspekti, kuri šobrīd projekta vel ir izstrādes fāzē un kuriem jau ir daži risinājumi vai vīzija par labāko risinājumu.

One of such solution is ESB products. Bachelor work is dedicated to one of such product – Open ESB. As an example was taken real project which work is based on such solution. In work is described all technical moments, which are necessary to implement project. There are described parallel solutions models from which some were failed. Based on author experience there was analyzed Open ESB product and found positives and negatives sides.
Also within the work frames was analyzed Open ESB aspects which are only in development phase for the moment, but there highlighted visions and solutions.

Design and implementation of a manufacturing business collaboration platform based ESB technology
Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technology, which is one of the implementation of the infrastructure of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), is put forward to solve various heterogeneous problems in enterprise information sharing and the management system integration. First, this paper introduces the definition and technical features of ESB and then, shows the design and implementation of an ESB-based Manufacturing Business Collaboration Platform (MBCP), which is used to solve the problems of the business integration in manufacturing industry area. För att dagens system och deras allt mer komplexa applikationer ska kunna integreras med varandra krävs det att de kommunicerar via tjänster. Denna tjänsteorienterade integration uppnås genom att man använder sig av Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) som bygger på löst kopplade tjänster som kommunicerar med varandra på ett standardiserat sätt. En viktig del i en integrationslösning är Enterprise Service Bus (ESB). I denna rapport kommer vi förklara grunderna i tjänsteorienterad integration och sedan fördjupa oss i ESB. Då ESB är ett luddigt begrepp ska vi på ett enkelt och lättbegripligt sätt ge vår syn på begreppet, samt dess fördelar och nackdelar. Vi kommer även att ge marknadens syn på ESB genom en enkätundersökning som innefattar både leverantörer, konsulter och kunder.If today’s software systems and their complex applications shall be able to integrate with each other, they have to communicate through services. Research of manufacturing enterprise information system integration based on extended ESB
Information systems bring out "Information Island" problem to manufacturing industry while promoting its informationization level. How to integrate these systems effectively is widely concerned and researched. In this paper, researches on information system integration by domestic and foreign scholars are summarized. An extended ESB (E-ESB) based information system integration model is proposed. It has 4 layers including presentation layer, bus layer, service layer and data layer. Information model of the architecture is proposed to describe how the messages interact within all parts. At last, key technologies in integration such as centralized authorization management, metadata adaptation, reconfigurable services and multi service operating mechanism are discussed
An AOP based approach to realize an ESB product line : aspect oriented framework for ESB (A04ESB)
A dissertation submitted to the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineeering for the MSc in Computer ScienceNowadays, enterprises are utilizing Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) technologies to automate business processes and the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) is the current state of art of the EAI technologies. ESB products are heterogeneous in terms of architectures, technologies, and features. Therefore, with an approach that can produce each variation of the heterogeneous ESBs, an ESB vendor can dominate the ESB market. The customer base of the ESB is also heterogeneous in terms of preference technologies, business domains, and
application requirements. Each customer domain wants an ESB tailored to its specific attributes to solve their integration problems in a scalable and robust manner. Hence, with an approach that can produce individualized ESB products, an ESB vendor can dominate the ESB market.
Apparently, the required approach should possess one important property: mass customization - the ability to create many variations of ESB products. The strategic re-use of assets is the enabler of the mass customization. hence, the commonality and the variability of the ESB products should be realized as reusable software elements. A software development paradigm named Software Product Line (SPL) has emerged to support these requirements and a SPL of the ESB is a suitable approach to exploit the heterogeneity in the ESB product and customer base.
The objective of the research presented in this thesis N to propose an approach to realize an ESB product line. The commonalty of the ESB products is mainly ESB services such as routing, transform, security, and monitoring, whereas the variability includes architectures, technologies, and features. This research leverages the concepts of the Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP) to identify, separate, and modularize the ESB services that crosscut the heterogeneous ESBs and to exploit the variability suitably to produce each ESB variation.
This research presents A04ESB, an aspect-oriented framework that is developed to enable the realization of an ESB product line. The A04ESB consists of an aspect weaver, an aspect library, and an aspect definition language. The aspect weaver takes a newer approach that leverages the Pipe and Filters architectural style to make it suitable for an integration middleware. Furthermore, this research presents an ESB product line proposal and a case study that uses the A04ESB in a real world ESB
Audio Branding meets Ambush Marketing
Ambush Marketing ist die Vorgehensweise von Unternehmen, dem Publikum eines Sport-Events durch Marketingmaßnahmen eine autorisierte Verbindung zu diesem Event zu signalisieren, obwohl die betreffenden Unternehmen keine Vermarktungsrechte an dieser Veranstaltung besitzen. Ambushed Audio Branding kennzeichnet dabei alle auditiven Ambush-Marketing-Maßnahmen im Rahmen von Sport-Events. Die auditiven Botschaften können dabei elektroakustisch, verbal oder instrumental-akustisch in Szene gesetzt werden. An der ESB Business School der Hochschule Reutlingen wurde in Kooperation mit der Konstanzer Audio-Branding-Agentur audity eine empirische Untersuchung zur Markenwahrnehmung im Rahmen einer TV-Sportübertragung durchgeführt. Ziel dieser Studie war es, die Effektivität integrierter Fremdmarken in TV-Sportübertragungen hinsichtlich ihrer visuellen und akustischen Positionierung zu testen. Insgesamt wurden rund 200 Probanden im Rahmen einer quantitativen und qualitativen Studie befragt.
