Strength readiness of lower limb volleyball players in selected specializations
Author: Tomáš Houda Title: Strength readiness of lower limb volleyball players in selected specializations Objectives: Strength readiness of the lower limbs of extra-league volleyball players. Study of a test battery to measure the given area. Then I will compare two extra-league teams and players from different positions (hitter vs. hitter, setter vs. setter...). From each position, I will choose one player and compare him with a player from the other team. In addition, I will focus on injuries to the lower limbs in volleyball. Methods: Observation and comparison of selected individuals from designated positions in volleyball and comparison of their strength readiness within their intensities in training, gyms, and matches. Annotation: This study researches lower limb strength readiness in volleyball players and its relationship to volleyball performance. The aim is to evaluate specific exercise methods and training programs aimed at strengthening the muscles of the lower limbs in these athletes. Through the analysis of various exercise interventions and the testing of volleyball players, the effects of these programs on improving performance, such as kick power, jumping explosiveness, stability, and speed of movement on the court, are examined. New attempts at Electronic Documents in Transport. Bolero - the end of the experiment, the beginning of the future?
In this thesis the author examines a 'revolution' taking place in the shipping industry brought on by the development of computerisation, electronic commerce and the change from paper documentation to electronic documentation in the carriage of goods by sea. The focus of the paper is on Bolero, a project of the European Community beginning in the early 1990s and which has been used commercially since September 1999. In this paper the author follows the Bolero project from its inception as an experiment through to its commercial application. The question is asked to what extent Bolero has become an alternative to, or in fact replaced paper documentation in the carriage of goods by sea. As an introduction the author looks at the paper bill of lading and other forms of sea transport documentation with a focus on their advantages and disadvantages. He then examines the development of EDI and paperless sea transport documentation, in particular Bolero and the history of its development. Following this is an in depth investigation of the Bolero system in its current form, the contractual relations involved and the position of Bolero in the surrounding legal framework in a South African and international context. Finally the author looks at the future of Bolero as a commercial enterprise

Type de l’article : Article théoriqueIn a current socio-economic context marked by increased competition, a proliferation of fraudulent maneuvers to make profits, and a multiplication of circumstances that are unpredictable and dangerous, the company is constantly exposed to risks. As a result, it must avoid any rigidity in its designs and opt for an approach centered around constant evolution and adaptation. Its survival in this dynamic and cruel business world presupposes the implementation of risk management strategies that can affect it, however different they may be.
In this context, traditional management methods must give way to modern, evolving strategies, capable of dealing with this variable prominence of risks.
From this perspective, this article aims to highlight the policies resulting from a rather original mode of risk management, that of the crossing between the legal sciences and the managerial sciences which dialogue to frame as effectively as possible the risks in a company. Because although the theories carry utopian ideals, the confrontation with the practice creates the need to double ambitions and stratagems to face them, hence the interest in highlighting the rich interaction between these two disciplines in this area to not only identify the indicators of management efficiency, but also the practical difficulties to be resolved by proposing avenues for improvement.

HANSEN: Human and AI Spoken Text Benchmark for Authorship Analysis
Authorship Analysis, also known as stylometry, has been an essential aspect of Natural Language Processing (NLP) for a long time. Likewise, the recent advancement of Large Language Models (LLMs) has made authorship analysis increasingly crucial for distinguishing between human-written and AI-generated texts. However, these authorship analysis tasks have primarily been focused on written texts, not considering spoken texts. Thus, we introduce the largest benchmark for spoken texts - HANSEN (Human ANd ai Spoken tExt beNchmark).
HANSEN encompasses meticulous curation of existing speech datasets accompanied by transcripts, alongside the creation of novel AI-generated spoken text datasets. Together, it comprises 17 human datasets, and AI-generated spoken texts created using 3 prominent LLMs: ChatGPT, PaLM2, and Vicuna13B. To evaluate and demonstrate the utility of HANSEN, we perform Authorship Attribution (AA) & Author Verification (AV) on human-spoken datasets and conducted Human vs. AI spoken text detection using state-of-the-art (SOTA) models. While SOTA methods, such as, character ngram or Transformer-based model, exhibit similar AA & AV performance in human-spoken datasets compared to written ones, there is much room for improvement in AI-generated spoken text detection. The HANSEN benchmark is available at: https://huggingface.co/datasets/HANSEN-REPO/HANSEN
The Socialist Bar and Bartender Phenomenon
This dissertation deals with the profession of bartender between years 1958 and 1988 in socialist Czechoslovakia. It describes the development of mixology after the WW2 and difficulties it was facing in the socialist period up to late Eighties. Through interviews with contemporary witnesses, the author examines bad habits, shortcomings and abuses of the system behind the bar. Attention is paid to the availability and shortages of different kinds of alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks. The author also looks at bartenders as illicit moneychangers. The work analyses regulatory laws valid at this period and offers compact description of the most interesting and popular bars in Prague at that time
"Everyone around them is an enemy" - Czech men and women in the Israeli Sar-El volunteer program
The thesis deals with the Israeli volunteer program Sar-El, which includes unarmed service at Israeli military bases in the uniform of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and the historical subjectivity of its participants. Using the oral history method, the author reconstructs the form of partial aspects of the program and searches for the historical subjectivity of the narrators from a post-positivist perspective. He deals with the perception of time and space on the base, the work activities performed by the volunteers, their relations with the IDF members, the gamification of the service or the images of the enemy. In the section dedicated to historical subjectivity, the author analyses narratives related to family history, the Holocaust, Czechoslovak arms aid to Israel, German-Jewish relations, and literary and audiovisual works. At the end of the thesis, the graduate answers questions about the subjective experience of the volunteers and their perception of the program
Antibiotic Susceptibility of β-Glucuronidase-Positive Escherichia coli Isolated from Poultry Products in Morocco
Poultry products are one of the main foodstuffs consumed in Morocco. The deterioration of their hygienic quality and the emergence of antibiotic resistance are the major public health problems. This study was carried out to determine the level of emergence of antibiotic resistance. For that, between May 2021 and June 2022, poultry products (e.g., minced meat, sausage, and meat) were collected aseptically in sterile bags from retail stores in different cities of Morocco, labeled, and transported in chilled conditions to the laboratory. The bacterial analysis was performed within 24 hours. Isolation and identification of Escherichia coli were performed according to the Moroccan standard NM ISO 16649 2018. Antimicrobial susceptibility determination of 23 antibiotics was tested using the Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion method. The results showed a high level of antimicrobial resistance to amoxicillin (58%), amoxicillin-clavulanic acid (54%), piperacillin (63%), trimethoprim (32%), nalidixic acid (46%), and ofloxacin (43%). 58 isolates (60%) were positive for beta-lactamase class A (penicillinase) test detection, and 2 isolates (3%) produced extended-spectrum beta-lactamases. The high level of resistance demonstrated in this study should alert health organizations in the country. An establishment of surveillance programs to control the use and the administration of antibiotics in the poultry field and initiation of reliable methods to follow up on the latest updates on the emergence of bacterial resistance is a necessity

The author concluded that there is certain correlation between political opinion of this politician and her conviction in the respective political trial. Certainly, even other factors played some role
Antisemitism in Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia
The master thesis called "Antisemitism in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia" is describing, based on historical events, progress of solution of the Jewish question in the occupied Czech lands during the Second world war. In the first chapter the author describes the main events of the Jewish minority life in the protectorate. Jews had lost all their personal rights and discrimination in this regard was almost unbearable. German Nazism developed and at the same time realized "final solution" of the Jewish question. This term signified euphemistic name for the physical extermination of the Jewish nation. The second chapter devotes to the analysis of the press. The most important part of the whole thesis introduces three collaborationist periodicals from protectorate, which were chosen by author. They are called: Zteč (Assault), Árijský boj (Arya fight) and Národní politika (National politics). Construction of the Terezin concentration camp and subsequent life in it describes the last and the third chapter. This ghetto meant an important part of the whole Jewish question and its solution. Although the transports to eastern areas took place here, some Jews arranged better life through cultural activities and illegal educational activities. One of the specifics of Terezín was also the role that the camp played in the Nazi propaganda
Challenges and opportunities of business models in sustainable transitions: Evidence from solar energy niche development in Lebanon
Although business models presumably have a prominent role in socio-technical change remarkably little research has been conducted in this domain, more particularly in the context of developing economies. In this paper, we tap into this knowledge gap and study business model components and the challenges they face. We argue that the market value of renewable energy technologies will increase when new business models are implemented to overcome financial and institutional challenges. We complement concepts of the business model literature with the insights from the sustainable transitions literature. This paper addresses two research questions: What are the challenges of business and financial models in the transition towards decentralized solar energy driven systems? And what are the promising opportunities for new business models in a developing country context? To answer these research questions, we use a case study research design focusing on niche market development of solar thermal and solar photovoltaic (PV) technology in Lebanon. Data collection involved analysis of relevant text documents and expert interviews with 30 informants across different groups of stakeholders. Data analysis involved qualitative interpretation of collected data against concepts from the business model and Strategic Niche Management literatures. The results show that business model challenges initially were highly dependent on donor aid, which contributed to the launch and network creation of niche markets. Later, a shift to micro-finance and business startup models was observed, which showed promising development. Knowledge transfer and community empowerment were found to play an important role in developing new business models that involve consumers more closely. As this development is expected to take place more often, we expect that new opportunity pathways will develop in developing economies like Lebanon.Organisation & Governanc
