No full textThis article describes how a MARC record has evolved in the decades since its introduction, i.e. from the ISO 2709 to XML format. The XML format is a general format for presenting MARC records in a simple and understandable way. Tools that work with the XML format are of the open source type and can be used to process XML records without incurring additional costs associated with one's own software development. XML is also the main format for data transfer on the Internet and for Web services. It is evident though that as long as computer systems using old technology exist, MARC records in the ISO 2709 standard format will also survive

Franz Marc and German Expressionism: from the will to power to the will to form
No full textopenLa presente tesi intende porre un focus sulle ragioni estetiche e le riflessioni ideologiche alla base della ricerca artistica di Franz Marc. In tal senso sono imprescindibili la compagine intellettuale e culturale della Germania di inizio Novecento e il proficuo incontro con Vasilij Kandinskij, con il quale Marc condivide la paternità del gruppo Der Blauer Reiter, nato nel 1911, e della pubblicazione di un almanacco sotto lo stesso nome. Quest’ultimo, di particolare interesse, non solo presenta peculiari caratteristiche che lo rendono un unicum tra gli esiti delle prime avanguardie artistiche, ma accoglie tra i protagonisti che ne popolano le pagine la partecipazione attiva di Marc tanto nelle prefazioni quanto negli scritti, offrendo una panoramica del moto di rinnovamento culturale e artistico che caratterizza l’alba del XX secolo.
Il pensiero nietzschiano, che con fervido entusiasmo è accolto come simbolo di questa dirompente volontà di trasvalutazione di valori percepiti stringenti dagli intellettuali e dagli artisti più avvertiti e sensibili, ha un influsso diretto anche e soprattutto sulle riflessioni di Marc. Grazie alle fonti letterarie costituite dall’almanacco, dagli aforismi e dalle corrispondenze epistolari intrattenute con Kandinskij, Auguste Macke e la poetessa Else Lasker-Schüler, è possibile fornire una chiave di lettura alle sue scelte figurative e compositive, impregnate di ideologia filosofica, ascendenti teorico-letterari, spiritualismo e riflessione estetica.
È vivace e vicendevole l’influsso di differenti personalità artistiche ed intellettuali che innesca il proliferare d’idee e suggestioni: queste, sebbene in una pluralità di mezzi e declinazioni personali, da comuni sentimenti di alienazione e intenti ideologici si trasfigurano in un’estetica di spirituale ed esistenziale anelito all’assoluto, di cui è emblematica l’opera pittorica di Marc.
Potente, dunque, l’impeto interiore che muove la creazione artistica: solo la Grande Guerra ne frena, per poco, la forza generatrice
