No full textEste trabalho tem por finalidade analisar as estampas de camisetas da
Cavalera após realizar o estudo e buscar referências sobre moda, ilustração e
marca. As ilustrações presentes neste projeto foram selecionadas de acordo com a
popularidade nos meios eletrônicos e escolha da autora. Assim, foi possível
encontrar interferências de cada elemento estudado sobre a Cavalera e também
interferências entre os elementos. O modo como a marca utiliza as ilustrações para
alcançar seus consumidores é objeto de estudo deste projeto, conseguindo assim,
atingir uma forte imagem no mercado. Ao longo da história a moda sofreu diversos
tipos de alterações e mudanças, e a partir dos anos 90 uma combinação passou a
ganhar grande popularidade. A calça jeans com a camiseta passou a ser vestimenta
básica do guarda-roupa e a Cavalera, utilizando esta combinação, acrescentou
ilustrações com humor e muitas referências culturais. A marca não apenas
conquistou consumidores, como também, passou a ser admirado por aqueles que
de alguma forma tem contato com as suas roupas

No full textEste é um exercício prático de leitura social a partir de categorias antropológicas discutidas em sala de aula por ocasião da disciplina Teoria II do PPGCS/UFMA. Analisa como a obra musical do guitarrista e vocalista brasileiro Max Cavalera contém elementos que a caracterizam como liminar, de fronteira, ou intersticial ao utilizar conteúdos relativos ao universo da cultura popular brasileira mesclados ao conteúdo geral do rock e do metal em particular. Este é um fenômeno sintomático da cultura contemporânea abalizado pelo intenso fluxo de trocas globais que se realizam atualmente.Palavras-chave: Trocas culturais. Música. Globalização. Cultura de fronteira.ABSTRACTThis is a practical exercise of a social reading from anthropological concepts debated in classroom in the Theory II discipline from PPGCS/UFMA. Illness expectations predict the development of influenza-like symptoms over the winter season
No full textObjective: This study explores the hypothesis that cognitive expectations of catching influenza-like symptoms increase the chances of developing the symptoms over the winter season. Design: Self-reported data from 247 healthy volunteers were obtained twice, before and after the winter season. In the first assessment, expectations about developing influenza-like symptoms in the incoming months were charted. This data was matched with a post-winter assessment of the actual development of the symptoms. Results: The odds of developing symptoms were highly associated with the expectations declared months before (OR = 1.776), and the association remained stable (OR = 1.453) even when accounting for previous influenza-like illnesses and the perception of general health. In contrast with previous findings, perceived stress was not associated with symptom development. Conclusions: These results support the hypothesis of a self-fulfilling prophecy mechanism related to influenza-like symptoms

No full textIl capitolo si apre con la presentazione del caso di Giorgia, la mamma di un bambino di 9 anni di nome Luca, che da qualche tempo mostra alcune difficoltà a livello scolastico e si rende protagonista di "diversi episodi" non meglio specificati. A partire dagli elementi del caso è quindi proposta un'analisi della richiesta, che passa attraverso l'individuazione del committente, la definizione dei ruoli degli attori in gioco, l'identificazione della richiesta esplicita ed implicita e dei significati emozionali ad essa associati.
