ANALISIS PERBANDINGAN TINGKAT KESEHATAN PERUSAHAAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE ALTMAN Z-SCORE DAN ANALISIS RASIO KEUANGAN (STUDI EMPIRIS PADA PERUSAHAAN MANUFAKTUR YANG TERDAFTAR DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA)
Monetary crisis which has occurred in Indonesia since the half of July in 1997
carried big effects to the world of business and national economics. Companies
should have better efforts to keep their going concern. One of them is evaluates the
financial statement at the last period and solves all the problems for keeping their self
from failure risk in the future.
The prediction of company failure could be approved empirically by using
financial ratios from the financial statement made by that company. Altman (1968)
had examined the use of financial ratio in predicting company failure. He used
Multivariate Discriminant Analysis (MDA) to examine five financial ratios in
predicting company failure. Ratios in Altman Z-Score using two or more variables
together in one formula. It makes the analyzing of financial statement easier.
Beside of Altman Z-Score Method, the analyzing of financial statement can also
uses financial ratio analysis (univariate analysis). This analysis including of four
ratios, they are liquidity ratio, activity ratio, leverage ratio, and profitability ratio.
But, many people feel not easy using this analysis in predicting company failure
because it examines financial ratio separately and each of that financial ratio has its
function and its indication differently to the condition of financial company
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
NILAI-NILAI KARAKTER DALAM TEKS CERPEN KARYA SISWA KELAS XI SMA NEGERI 7 MALANG

Kata Kunci: nilai karakter, teks cerpen, karya siswa Karya sastra dibagi menjadi tiga genre, yaitu puisi, drama dan prosa. Cerpen merupakan salah satu bentuk karya sastra prosa fiksi. Cerpen adalah cerita berbentuk prosa yang relatif pendek (Sumardjo, 1988:30). Sebuah cerpen biasanya memiliki plot yang diarahkan pada insiden atau peristiwa tunggal. Hal tersebut senada dengan pendapat Pratiwi (1990:47) yang menjelaskan bahwa pada genre cerita pendek, misalnya, tidak semua unsur dikembangkan secara seimbang. Aspek penting yang tidak boleh dilupakan adalah nilai-nilai karakter yang terkandung dalam cerpen. Dalam sebuah kajian sastra, nilai karakter dapat dipandang sebagai amanat. Amanat merupakan ajaran moral atau pesan didaktis yang ingin disampaikan oleh pengarang kepada pembaca melalui karyanya. Sebenarnya, pendidikan karakter sudah ditanamkan sejak anak-anak atau masih dalam lingkungan keluarga (informal). Pada saat ini, nilai karakter yang ada dalam diri anak sudah mulai tergerus. Pada kurikulum 2013 yang diterapkan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis teks. Cerpen merupakan salah satu teks sastra yang dianggap memuat nilai karakter. Penelitian tentang nilai karakter dalam cerpen karya siswa peneliti lakukan dengan pertimbangan bahwa pembelajaran cerpen yang diajarkan di lembaga formal selalu didorong untuk memasukkan nilai-nilai karakter. Dalam pembelajaran cerpen juga dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sarana untuk mengembangkan kecakapan hidup untuk memahami diri, sosial, dan persoalan kehidupan yang lain. Adanya indikasi bahwa belum semua siswa menerapkan nilai karakter dengan baik dan untuk mengetahui penyebabnya menjadi alasan peneliti menganggap perlu dilakukan penelitian mengenai nilai karakter dalam teks cerpen karya siswa dengan judul Nilai-nilai Karakter dalam Teks Cerpen Karya Siswa Kelas XI-MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 7 Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif karena pendekatan kualitatif adalah pendekatan yang digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan data yang diteliti secara jelas berdasarkan teori-teori sastra. Janis penelitian yang digunaka dalam penelitian ini adalah kajian teks. Data penelitian ini berupa kutipan-kutipan teks dan transkrip hasil wawancara. Pada data berupa kutipan-kutipan teks berisi nilai-nilai karakter. Data yang diperoleh tersebut untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai karakter yang muncul dan tidak muncul dalam teks cerpen karya siswa. Selanjutnya, data yang didapat dari transkrip hasil wawancara digunakan untuk mengetahui faktor yang menyebabkan kemunculan dan ketidak munculan nilai karakter dalam teks cerpen karya siswa. Berdasarkan hasil data yang dianalisis tersebut, diperoleh empat simpulan hasil penelitian. Pertama, nilai-nilai karakter yang muncul dalam cerpen karya siswa sebanyak limabelas nilai, yakni nilai rigius, nilai jujur, nilai toleransi, nilai kerja keras, nilai kreatif, nilai mandiri, nilai demokratis, nilai rasa ingin tahu, nilai cinta tanah air, nilai manghargai prestasi, nilai bersahabat/komunikatif, nilai cinta damai, nilai gemar membaca, nilai peduli sosial, dan nilai tanggung jawab. Kedua, nilai-nilai karakter yang tidak muncul sebanyak tiga nilai, yakni nilai disiplin, nilai semangat kebangsaaan, nilai peduli lingkungan. Ketiga, (1) adanya tokoh yang diidolakan atau adanya hal yang menginspirasi, (2) adanya kepekaan terhadap kejadian di lingkungan sekitar, (3) sesuai yang terpikirkan saat proses menulis, (4) sesuai dengan pengalaman pribadi.Keempat, faktor yang memengaruhi ketidakmunculan nilai karakter, yakni (1) penulis ingin segera menyelesaikan ceritanya, (2) tidak terpikirkan nilai karakter lainnya oleh penulis, (3) tidak cocok dengan isi cerita.Hal-hal yang mendukung faktor yang memengaruhi kemunculan atau ketidakmunculan nilai karakter adalah faktor pemahaman, faktor lingkungan, faktor pengalaman, dan faktor perkembangan psikologis dalam diri remaja. Saran pertama, bagi peneliti lain atau peneliti baru, nilai dalam cerpen yang sudah ditemukan hendaknya diteliti lagi untuk mengetahui penerapan nilai karakter yang lebih mendalam dan untuk nilai yang tidak ditemukan dalam cerpen perlu dilakukan penelitian serupa dengan diawali pembelajaran atau nilai karakter yang belum muncul. Saran kedua, bagi pengajar atau guru, yakni lebih mendalam lagi dalam mengenalkan dan menerapkan nilai karakter, sehingga dalam tulisan siswa muncul nilai karakter yang banyak dan beragam. Saran ketiga, bagi masyarakat umum, khususnya orangtua, yakni menanamkan nilai karakter sejak dini, dan mengawasi agar nilai karakter yang tumbuh dalam diri anak semakin baik
