Utilização de resíduos da produção avícola na produção de composto organomineral e seu uso na lavoura de soja
O presente trabalho analisou a reutilização dos resíduos de aves na produção de adubo organomineral e o seu uso na cultura da soja. Para a produção do adubo foram utilizadas as sobras geradas pela avicultura de corte, compostas da cama de aviário, da varrição da fábrica de ração e carcaças de animais mortos que passaram pelo processo de compostagem. As compostagens das aves mortas no processo de criação de frango de corte industrial foram acondicionadas em baias de alvenaria, tendo 2,5 m de largura, 2,5 m de comprimento por 1,8 m de altura em um galpão de 195 m de comprimento por 12,5 m de largura, fechado em sua totalidade por tela com malha de 2,5 cm e o telhado feito com telhas de fibrocimento. Após 5 meses, desse material proveniente das baias de compostagem foi transformado em adubo organomineral. Este adubo foi utilizado em experimento de campo na cultura da soja. Testou-se diferentes quantidades de adubo organomineral delineado na forma de blocos casualizados (DBC) com cincos tratamentos de adubação utilizando organomineral: T1 - Testemunha, T2 - fertilizante organomineral na dose 2,5 ton/haˉ¹, T3 - fertilizante organomineral na dose 5 ton/haˉ¹, T4- fertilizante organomineral na dose 7,5 ton/haˉ¹ e T5 - fertilizante organomineral na dose 10 ton/haˉ¹. Os parâmetros avaliados foram: estande da planta, comprimento da raiz (cm), biomassa fresca da raiz, comprimento da parte aérea, massa fresca da parte aérea, análise foliar, comprimento do internódio, peso de 1.000 grãos (g), número de vagens por plantas, número de grãos por vagem, porte final, biomassa verde e seca final, produtividade de grãos (kg/haˉ¹). O adubo organomineral mostrou-se uma ótima opção quando produzido pelo avicultor para uso próprio em sua lavoura de soja e se mostra mais vantajoso do ponto de vista financeiro. Nesse caso, a aplicação de 7,5 ton/haˉ¹ é a dosagem que apresenta melhor custo-benefício para o agricultor com a produção de 5.352 kg/ha.The present work analyzed the reuse of poultry waste in the production of organomineral fertilizer and its use in soybean cultivation. To produce the fertilizer, waste generated by poultry farming was used, consisting of poultry litter, sweeping from the feed factory and carcasses of dead animals that went through the composting process. The composts from birds killed in the industrial broiler breeding process were placed in masonry pens, measuring 2.5 m wide, 2.5 m long by 1.8 m high in a 195 m long shed. 12.5 m wide, entirely closed by a 2.5 cm mesh screen and the roof made with fiber cement tiles. After 5 months, this material from the composting pens was transformed into organomineral fertilizer. This fertilizer was used in a field experiment in soybean crops. Different amounts of organomineral fertilizer designed in the form of randomized blocks (DBC) were tested with five fertilizer treatments using organomineral: T1 - Control, T2 - organomineral fertilizer at a dose of 2.5 ton/haˉ¹, T3 - organomineral fertilizer at a dose of 5 ton /haˉ¹, T4- organomineral fertilizer at a dose of 7.5 ton/haˉ¹ and T5 - organomineral fertilizer at a dose of 10 ton/haˉ¹. The parameters evaluated were: plant stand, root length (cm), fresh root biomass, shoot length, fresh shoot mass, leaf analysis, internode length, weight of 1,000 grains (g), number of pods per plants, number of grains per pod, final size, green and final dry biomass, grain productivity (kg/haˉ¹). Organomineral fertilizer proved to be a great option when produced by poultry farmers for their own use in their soybean crops and is more advantageous from a financial point of view. In this case, the application of 7.5 tons/haˉ¹ is the dosage that offers the best cost-benefit for the farmer with a production of 5,352 kg/ha
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
