SEMANTIC GROUPS OF PREDICATIVE ADVERBSIN THE WORKS OF ALEXANDER DOVZHENKO
The article analyzes the semantic groups of predicative adverbs in the works of O. Dovzhenko. Due
to the peculiar morphological categories, adverbs attract the attention of scientists around the world. The
subject of intelligence is the classification of adverbs, contacting adverbs and verbs in a sentence, studying adverbs when mastering different languages and even understanding the shades of meanings of adverbs-synonyms.
The idiosyncrasies of different artists are always of interest to a wide range of linguists and art critics.
The language of O. Dovzhenko’s creative heritage has been analyzed by authoritative scientists. The relevance of our work is due to its focus on the study of the semantic aspect of predicative adverbs in the literary heritage of O. Dovzhenko, whose creative work is respected in world culture.
The purpose of the research is to analyze the semantic groups of predicative adverbs in Dovzhenko’s works of art. The object of research is predicative adverbs in the works of O. Dovzhenko. The subject
of research is the semantic aspect of the functioning of predicative adverbs in the works of O. Dovzhenko. Quantitative analysis of the use of predicative adverbs in Dovzhenko’s works has revealed a significant use of words to describe the state with a modal tone, words to denote the physical, mental, intellectual and emotional state of man and moderate use of words to denote the environment surrounding
the characters. Predicative adverbs of different semantic groups are found in Dovzhenko’s works. In the
group of words to define the state with a modal tinge there are predicative adverbs that reflect the visual sensations of the characters, convey emotional assessment to the content of transmitted information (mostly difficult moods), serve to establish optimal verbal contact with the listener, express the appeal to the interlocutor, indicate the obligation/non-obligation of certain actions, the possibility of performing certain actions, the time limit on the duration of certain actions. The group of words to denote
the physical, mental, intellectual, emotional state of man and creatures in general include predicative
adverbs that express negative emotions of characters (sadness, heaviness, annoyance, etc.), characterize the physical condition of characters, denote positive mental and emotional states of persons. The
semantic group of predicative adverbs to denote the state of the environment surrounding the characters of the work includes predicative adverbs that activate the auditory and visual sensations of readers,
reflect feelings of non-beings, denote positive phenomena in the environment surrounding the characters. The research is promising in the direction of elucidating the pragmatic function of predicative adverbs in the works of O. Dovzhenko in order to enrich information about the creative skills of the outstanding artist
THE GENESIS OF UKRAINIAN POETIC CINEMA О. Р. DOVZHENKO IN (30-50TH YEARS OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY)
У статті проаналізовано історію формування українського поетичного кіно. Представлена історія становлення вітчизняного кіно та режисури О.Довженка. Визначено особливості тематики та змісту кінофільмів. Доведено, що справжня історія українського кіно почалася саме з виходу на екрани епічної трилогії О. Довженка «Земля» – «Арсенал»– «Звенигора». Різні за тематикою картини об’єднує спільна ідея єдності людини та природи, Землі, Батьківщини.Наголошено на значущості творчості О.Довженка для історії української культури. Він виявив себе видатним кінорежисером і творцем нового літературного жанру – кіноповісті. Його «Земля», «Україна в огні», «Зачарована Десна» стали шедеврами української літератури. Він є автором видатних кіноповістей, оповідань, п’єс, публіцистичних та мистецтвознавчих творів.Ключові слова: кіно, мистецтво, кіноповість, творчість, О. Различные по тематике картины объединяет общая идея единения человека и природы, Земли, Родины. Определено значение творчества А. Долженка для истории украинской культуры. Проявил себя выдающимся кинорежиссером и создателем нового литературного жанра – киноповести. Его «Земля», «Украина в огне», «Зачарованная Десна» стали шедеврами украинской литературы. Он так же является автором киноповестей, рассказов, пьес, публицистических и искусствоведческих произведений. Ключевые слова: кино, искусство, киноповесть, творчество, О. Довженко, Земля, Родина.The article analyzes the history of the formation of Ukrainian poetic cinema. The history of the establishment of the national film and direction of О. Dovzhenko is presented. The features of the subject and content of films are determined. Film experts believe that the true history of Ukrainian cinema began precisely with the release of the О. Dovzhenko “Land”– “Arsenal”– “Zvenigora” trilogy screens. Various pictures on the subject are united by the general idea of the invisibility of man from nature, the earth, the Homeland.The importance of О. Dolzhenko’s creativity for the history of Ukrainian culture is noted. He was an outstanding filmmaker and creator of a new literary genre – film narrative. His «Earth», «Ukraine on fire», «Enchanted Desna» became the masterpieces of Ukrainian literature. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Single excited dual band luminescent hybrid carbon dots-terbium chelate nanothermometer
The report introduces hybrid polyelectrolyte-stabilized colloids combining blue and green-emitting building blocks, which are citrate carbon dots (CDs) and [TbL]+ chelate complexes with 1,3-diketonate derivatives of calix[4]arene. The joint incorporation of green and blue-emitting blocks into the polysodium polystyrenesulfonate (PSS) aggregates is carried out through the solvent-exchange synthetic technique. The coordinative binding between Tb3+ centers and CD surface groups in initial DMF solutions both facilitates joint incorporation of [TbL]+ complexes and the CDs into the PSS-based nanobeads and affects fluorescence properties of [TbL]+ complexes and CDs, as well as their ability for temperature sensing. The variation of the synthetic conditions is represented herein as a tool for tuning the fluorescent response of the blue and green-emitting blocks upon heating and cooling. The revealed regularities enable developing either dual-band luminescent colloids for monitoring temperature changes within 25–50 °C through double color emission or transforming the colloids into ratiometric temperature sensors via simple concentration variation of [TbL]+ and CDs in the initial DMF solution. Novel hybrid carbon dots-terbium chelate PSS-based nanoplatform opens an avenue for a new generation of sensitive and customizable single excited dualband nanothermometers
Mean flow generation by Görtler Vortices in a rotating annulus with librating side walls
Longitudinal libration of the cylinder side walls of a rotating annulus in the supercritical regime induces a centrifugally unstable Stokes boundary layer which generates Görtler vortices only in a portion of a libration cycle. We show for the first time that these vortices propagate into the fluid bulk and generate an azimuthal mean flow which is retrograde (prograde) over the outer (inner) cylinder side wall. Direct numerical simulations (DNS) are carried out and Reynolds-averaged equations and kinetic energy budget of mean and fluctuating flow are used as diagnostic equations to discuss the generation mechanism and scaling behavior of the azimuthal mean flow in the fluid bulk
Multivariate Polarimetric Bistatic Clutter Statistical Analysis
This paper deals with the analysis of simultaneously collected co- and cross-polarized bistatic sea-clutter returns with special emphasis on their representation as a Spherically Invari-ant Random Process (SIRP). The study is conducted by using appropriate testing procedures involving the complex envelope of the measured data that provide both first- and higher-order compatibility conditions. A Guiding Vector-Field algorithm for path-following control of nonholonomic mobile robots
In this paper, we propose an algorithm for path-following control of the nonholonomic mobile robot based on the idea of the guiding vector field (GVF). The desired path may be an arbitrary smooth curve in its implicit form, that is, a level set of a predefined smooth function. Using this function and the robot's kinematic model, we design a GVF, whose integral curves converge to the trajectory. A nonlinear motion controller is then proposed, which steers the robot along such an integral curve, bringing it to the desired path. We establish global convergence conditions for our algorithm and demonstrate its applicability and performance by experiments with wheeled robots.Accepted Author ManuscriptTeam Tamas Keviczk
