Optimizing Indonesian Language Learning for Civil Engineering Student in Semarang State Polytechnic
The main aim of learning Indonesian at state polytechnic is to provide scientific transformation and productively improve Indonesian language skills consisting of speaking skills and writing skills for academic purposes. The purpose of writing this article is to present the results of identification and scientific research regarding the optimization of project-based learning for General Indonesian Language Subjects in the Civil Engineering Department of the Semarang State Polytechnic. The method used in this article is an exploratory study with a qualitative descriptive approach. The data presented in this scientific article comes from various empirical experiences obtained by the author while working in the world of education and teaching at the Semarang State Polytechnic and a comprehensive literature study. The results of this research are (1) learning Indonesian within the Semarang State Polytechnic is an inseparable part of comprehensive lecture activities; (2) optimization of Indonesian language learning at state polytechnics needs to be carried out seriously and consistently; (3) learning Indonesian is able to increase the productive competence of students of the Civil Engineering Department in speaking Indonesian in the context of speaking skills and writing skills for academic purpose

This research aims to describe and explain: 1) intrinsic structure of the novel Kerumunan Terakhir by Okky Madasari, 2) The aspects of the soul that experienced main figures in Kerumunan Terakhir by Okky Madasari. 3) inner conflict that experienced main figures in Kerumunan Terakhir by Okky Madasari. 4) the value of character education that can be taken from the story of the main figure in Kerumunan Terakhir by Okky Madasari. 5) The relevances of the novel entitled Kerumunan Terakhir as a lesson materials in Class XII Senior High School. The form of this research is qualitative research approaches in psychology literature. This research data in the form of a novel script entitled Kerumunan Terakhir by Okky Madaari and some informers. The source of the data used is the document/archives and informers. Data collection techniques used in this research is the interview and analysis of the document. The technique of the validity of the data used is triangulation source, triangulation method. Data analysis technique that is used is a model of interactive analysis. The results of this research namely mental conflict experienced by the main figure (Jayanegara): (1) Jayanegara never custody parents in the house simbah to treated and given the appropriate education of indigenous communities there; (2) Jayanegara’s mothers choose parted with his father and left home due to family problems when Jayanegara twenty years old. (3) Jayanegara have boyfriends called Maera who are able to change her perspective on the virtual world the classrooms sophisticated now. (4) Jayanegara longed with a mother figure after some time has remained separated with Jayanegara. (5) Jayanegara become sons of the family of broken home. (6) Jayanegara has great ambitions to dominate the world maya hrough the social media and can memegaruhi people. (7) Jayanegara did not like the behavior of His Father who is negative and glare with the temptation of women. (8) Jayanegara want to show the error of his Father with the propaganda methods through social media. (9) Jayanegara successfully affect the many through the power of social media. The value of education character that can be learned and implemented in life is the democratic, curiosity, tolerance and communicative. This Novel can also be used as an alternative material ajaryang in accordance with the basic competencies identify the structure of the bible and the value of education in the novel to the students of class XII SMA. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
