Did Peter Damian make a mistake?
No full textThe author poses a hypothesis that Peter Damian did not make a mistake placing the last missionary expedition of Bruno Boniface of Querfurt in Rus and that the missionary activity of a Latin bishop in Vladimir’s country in the beginnings of the 11th century was certainly possible. The author starts with quoting one of the basic sources pertaining to the life and work of Bruno Boniface of Querfurt, mainly The Life of St. Romuald by Peter Damian, written around 1040. In the main part of the article, the author deals with one of the main objections to Damian’s work, that is pointing to Rus as the place of evangelisation mission conducted by Bruno Boniface. In the author’s opinion the allegation that Peter Damian was wrong when he wrote about Rus and the Russian Church being proud of “a very eminent nobleman Boniface” was too hasty. The author claims it was caused by transferring to the 11th century the experiences and the way of thinking of people from later centuries and making use of schemata which sometimes have little in common with the reality of the 11th century. The author refers to historical research on the borders and structure of medieval states. She tries to show that it was a mistake to transfer the Catholic and Russian Orthodox mutual animosity or even enmity into the 11th century. (The following examples discussed by the author testify to a feeling of ecclesial unity of the Russian Church with the Latin Church: bishop’s chirotony on Vladimir’s land mentioned by Bruno of Querfurt in his letter to king Henry, the activity of Latin bishop Reinbern in Rus and the cult of some saints – Clement, the pope as the first patron of Russian state, the adoption by western Christians of the cult of Leontij, the bishop of Rostov.

No full textThe education of high school students with emotional and behavioral disorders continues to be a challenging endeavor for all school professionals. Frequently, such students are educated in restrictive special education placements, outside of public school settings. In an effort to provide a less restrictive educational and valuable experience for students with emotional and behavioral disabilities, as well as in an attempt to contain educational costs, an increasing number of school districts have designed programs to serve this population within the public school setting. This dissertation documents the process of planning and conducting an evaluation of a special education classroom-based program designed to meet the needs of suburban high school students with emotional and behavioral disorders within the public school setting. The evaluation phase of Maher's program planning and evaluation framework (2000) was utilized as basis for providing evaluative information to the director of special services of the suburban school district in which the program had been implemented. The results of the program evaluation are presented along with the conclusions that were drawn regarding the program's ability to address the needs of its students, the implementation of the program in relation to its design, the reactions of people involved with the program, and academic outcomes for participants. Recommendations for continued program development and improvement are provided, along with suggested areas for further investigation. Reflections on the process of utilizing the program planning and evaluation framework are included as well as the benefits, challenges, and limitations of being a participant-observer in the evaluation process.Psy.DIncludes bibliographical references (p. 169-172)by Damian Petin

Gabriel Tapia A.K.A “GABO” is an independent artist in the music industry and has the production and composing credits of this theme, “Damian” keeps the principal concept and essence to create an emotional response to the audience. The theme was made with the application of all the knowledge acquired during the learning process at the career, achieving the goal of applying the best media tools, having as a result a professional piece of music with commercial quality. It took four months to finish the producing process of “Damian”, after those, a creative and uncovered theme that successfully accomplishes the established goals was born. The musical piece was produced using twelve recording hours, eight hours of mixing, and three hours of mastering in different studios. After the producing period was finished the music piece was uploaded to internet media platforms, so that it can be played, and introduced in the music commercial market."DAMIAN" se consolida como proyecto musical en Febrero del año 2013, a partir de una inspiración generada por circunstancias personales del autor.
