From the Union of Lublin to the Mutual Guarantee of the Two Nations
No full textThe purpose of this study is to show changes in the legal and political nature of the alliance between the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania over
the centuries, from the Union concluded in Lublin in 1569, through the so-called ‘coequatio iuris’ of 1697, until the regulations adopted in the Constitution of May 3,
and the “Reciprocal Guarantee of Both Nations” crowning the process and passed at the Four-Year Sejm on October 20, 1791. The study uses a wide range of archival
manuscript sources, old prints, parliamentary legislation, and also numerous studies using both old and current literature. The main research goal of the study was to show to what extent the changes in the legal nature of the union of the two countries led to their full unification, which was in the past (and sometimes still is) the interpretation of this process in many studies, and to what extent the federalist character of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was preserved, which is nowadays the dominant view and which the author of this study is a strong supporter [email protected] Akademia im. Capturing the Zero: A New Class of Zero-Augmented Distributions and Multiplicative Error Processes
No full textWe propose a novel approach to model serially dependent positive-valued variables which realize a non-trivial proportion of zero outcomes. This is a typical phenomenon in financial time series observed on high frequencies, such as cumulated trading volumes or the time between potentially simultaneously occurring market events. We introduce a flexible point-mass mixture distribution and develop a semiparametric specification test explicitly tailored for such distributions. Moreover, we propose a new type of multiplicative error model (MEM) based on a zero-augmented distribution, which incorporates an autoregressive binary choice component and thus captures the (potentially different) dynamics of both zero occurrences and of strictly positive realizations. Applying the proposed model to high-frequency cumulated trading volumes of liquid NYSE stocks, we show that the model captures both the dynamic and distribution properties of the data very well and is able to correctly predict future distributions.high-frequency data, point-mass mixture, multiplicative error model, excess zeros, semiparametric specification test, market microstructure
Electrical Aging of the Insulation of Low Voltage Machines: Model definition and test with the Design of Experiments
No full textThe aim of this paper is to present a method for modeling
the lifespan of insulation materials in a partial discharge regime. Based on the design of experiments, it has many advantages: it reduces the number of time-consuming experiments, increases the accuracy of the results and allows lifespan modeling under various stress conditions including coupling effects between the factors. Accelerated aging tests are carried out to determine the lifespan of these materials. The resulting model presents an original relationship between the logarithm of the insulation lifespan and that of electrically applied stress and an exponential form of the temperature. Results show that the most influential factors can be identified according to their effects on the insulation lifespan. Moreover, the lifespan model validity is tested either with additional points which have not been used for modeling or through statistical tests. Finally, it is shown that fractional plans are not suitable to reduce the number of experiments. No full textTato práce se zabývá analýzou, návrhem a tvorbou webového vyhledávacího a informačního systému s názvem WhereIS, který má za cíl zjednodušit studentům FIT ČVUT vyhledávání informací o předmětech, učitelích a místnostech a umožnit studentům vyhledávat volné místnosti k učení. Návrh a implementace samotného prototypu jsou cíleny na tři základní části, a to získání dat ze zdrojů, vyhledávání nad daty (agregaci výsledků) a jednoduchou rozšiřitelnost aplikace. V rámci praktické implementační části je vytvořen a otestován prototyp takového vyhledávacího a informačního systému, který splňuje požadavky na agregaci výsledků a snadné rozšiřitelnosti.This thesis focuses on the analysis, design and development of a web-based search and information system called WhereIS, which aims to simplify the search for information about courses, teachers and rooms for students of FIT CTU and to enable students to search for available rooms for studying. The design and implementation of the prototype itself are aimed at three main parts, namely obtaining data from sources, searching over the data (aggregation of results) and easy extensibility of the application. As part of the practical implementation part, a prototype of such a search and information system that meets the requirements for aggregation of results and simple extensibility is developed and tested

An extension of the Recipeo project
No full textObsahom práce je postup rozširovania existujúcej aplikácie Recipeo. Aplikácia sa zaoberá varením a receptami. Rozšírenie pridáva funkcie zdieľania receptov a inventáru, aby išlo aj o pomocníka v domácnosti. Práca začína analýzou požiadavkov, pokračuje návrhom zmien a ďalej rieši konkrétne implementačné problémy. Aplikácia je písaná vo Vue.js s backendom od služby Firebase od Google. Obsahom je ako frontend, tak aj backend. Výsledkom je verejne dostupná aplikácia.This bachelor's thesis describes the extension of an existing application Recipeo. The application deals with cooking and recipes. The extension adds recipe sharing and group inventory in order to elevate itself to home assitant. It starts with an analysis of requirements, followed by a desing of changes and then deals with specific implementation issues. Application uses Vue.js as its main framework with a backend in Firebase from Google. This thesis describes both frontend and backend. The result is a publicly accessible application
