Food as Performance dan Food in Performance dalam Film Jiro Dreams of Sushi Karya David Gelb
Penelitian ini menganalisis representasi food as performance dan food in
performance dalam film dokumenter Jiro Dreams of Sushi Karya David Gelb.

Clinical and Radiographic Evaluation of Brånemark Implants with an Anodized Surface following Seven-to-Eight Years of Functional Loading
The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical and radiographic long-term outcomes of dental implants with an anodized TiUnite surface, placed in routine clinical practice. Two clinical centers participated in the study. One hundred and seven implants (80 in the maxilla and 27 in the mandible) in 52 patients were followed in the long term. Both one- and two-stage techniques were used for 38 and 69 implants, respectively. Thirty-eight single tooth restorations and 22 fixed partial prostheses were delivered, according to a delayed loading protocol, within 4 to 12 months since implant placement. All implants were stable at insertion and at the long-term follow-up visit, which occurred between 7 and 8 years of functional loading. The mean followup was 7.33±0.47 years. The mean marginal bone level change at the long-term followup as compared to baseline was 1.49±1.03 mm. No implant failure occurred. Healthy peri-implant mucosa was found around 95% of implants, whereas 91% of implants showed no visible plaque at the implant surfaces at the long-term followup. The study showed that dental implants with the TiUnite anodized surface demonstrate excellent long-term clinical and radiographic outcomes
How to think like Leonardo Da Vinci seven steps to genius every day
Michael Gelb's How to Think Like Leonardo Da Vinci is an inspiring and inventive guide that teaches readers how to develop their full potential, using the principles of Da Vincian thought identified by the author. Beginning with a brief historical biography of Da Vinci and an overview of the astounding advances made in the arts and sciences during the Renaissance, Gelb illustrates the seven fundamental elements of Da Vinci's thought process: Questionare: A questing, insatiably curious approach to life Dimostrazione: A commitment to test knowledge through experience Sensazione: The continual refinement of the senses, especially sight, as the means to clarify experience Sfumato: A willingness to embrace ambiguity, paradox and uncertainty Arte/Scienza: The development of the balance between science and art, logic and imagination. "Whole-brain" thinking Corporalita: The cultivation of ambidexterity, fitness and poise Connessione: A recognition and appreciation for the interconnectedness of all things and phenomena. "Systems" thinking. Loaded with practical exercises, quotes, sidebars, illustrations and material drawn directly from Da Vinci's personal notebooks, How to Think Like Leonardo Da Vinci is both a tribute to his great achievements and a call to carry on his legacy in our everyday lives by utilizing our potential to the best of our ability

Colores verdaderos. Una panorámica fenomenológica
In this paper, the author historically develops with full detail what he calls «phenomenological conceptions of color», situated all during the first decades of the twentieth century. The author traces the general coordinates of the theories of color and the philosophical problems posed by thinkers that were very close to Husserl (Schapp and Reinach), and then gives a detailed review of some representatives of psychological tendencies related to phenomenology (Carl Stumpf, Kurt Koffka, Karl Bühler, Ewald Hering, David Katz, Adhemar Gelb, and others). Finally, the author analyzes two of the most representative positions after Husserl’s legacy: that of Merleau-Ponty and Hermann Schmitz. The author also includes an appendix that explains the theories of Aristotle and Goethe.

Investigating New Approaches Of Visual Storytelling Through The Deconstruction Of Story
Stories are a unique human creation that fosters emotional connections and have been developed and refined by writers and storytellers throughout history. This thesis aims to explore the creation of new systems for visual storytelling by deconstructing existing works of literature and interpreting them through a series of graphic design methodologies adopted from a variety of visual media like film, comics, and design. This is achieved through a “Research Through Design” process, an iterative practice of deconstructing narratives and literary research, followed by the development of visual language and deliberations. This thesis conceives of three new systems for adapting written stories into visual forms: “The Unrecognizable Patterns of Overhearing,” “Documentation of the World of Story,” and “Parallels, Perspectives, and Subjective Views.” These systems are applied to design and produce new visualizations that represent abstract ideas found in literary narratives
Design for Plants: Posthumanist Approach to Speculative Design for Plants
Plants have been viewed through an anthropocentric lens by humans resulting in the undermining of plant intelligence. More specifically, this happens due to the belief that the only correct way of expressing cognition is defined by the human experience. This thesis examines how posthumanism can be applied to Speculative Design strategies to reshape how humans interact with plants. The thesis project is split into two explorations providing viewers with alternative possibilities for how humans can rekindle their relationship with plants and the natural world. The first exploration speculates about how in the future humans might use wearable technology to communicate and build relationships with plants through meaningful interactions. The second exploration uses drawings to depict an idealized future for plants once stronger relationships between humans and plants are established. The goal of my thesis is to see how design can encourage a change in attitude toward plants
