Los hinchas militantes del Club Atlético River Plate : fútbol, pasión y política (1966-2013)
Get PDFTesis de DoctoradoLa tesis explora, describe y analiza mediante un estudio de caso las prácticas de un grupo de hinchas militantes del Club Atlético River Plate entre los años 1996 y 2013, con el objetivo de conocer sus sentidos y motivaciones centralmente en dos dimensiones, las de tipo emotivo y las de carácter político. La metodología utilizada es de tipo cualitativo, mediante el uso de diferentes herramientas tales como la participación observante, las entrevistas en profundidad y el relevamiento y análisis de fuentes primarias y secundarias. Se aborda el caso en un doble nivel: por un lado, el sentido emotivo, relacionado a sus acciones en los días de partido de fútbol del primer equipo –principalmente en la llamada fiesta en la tribuna, en la voz nativa–, y en segundo término, desde el pasaje de algunos de estos hinchas de fútbol a la militancia institucional y política en el club, que los lleva a constituirse en actores políticos de importancia dentro de él. El desarrollo profundiza en el modelo tradicional de los clubes en Argentina, en tanto asociaciones civiles sin fines de lucro, como parte del capital social y la sociabilidad, y en las particularidades históricas, políticas e institucionales del Club Atlético River Plate, para describir y analizar la militancia futbolera de estos hinchas a partir de su hinchismo y pertenencia a la cultura del aguante y, desde allí, hacia la arena política agrupacional del club. El proceso desarrolla una serie de especificidades con relación a sus actividades militantes y a los vínculos con otros actores de la configuración futbolística como dirigentes, barras bravas y otros hinchas del club, luego de la crisis política nacional de los años 2001 y 2002 y previamente al proceso abierto en 2003 –profundizado a partir de 2008– de apertura a la militancia política por parte de grupos de jóvenes y adolescentes. La tesis discute si sus prácticas emotivas implican determinados valores comunitaristas, para concluir que el fútbol y esas acciones conforman en ellos una función social integradora identitaria y simbólica capaz de congregar y recrear un sentimiento de comunidad mixto, no necesariamente en términos de resistencia al individualismo moderno, sino en términos de un colectivo emocional que los consolida en tanto identidad social.Fil: Daskal, Rodrigo. Elias in "La 12". An elisian approach to violence in argentinian football
Get PDFEn el presente artículo proponemos una reflexión sobre el fenómeno de la violencia en el fútbol, a partir de herramientas conceptuales de la sociología de Norbert Elias. Esta reflexión implica un doble recorrido. Primero indagaremos sobre la relación entre violencia y deporte, en el marco de la concepción de lo que Elias llamó "proceso de la civilización", para luego analizar los trabajos posteriores que el sociólogo alemán realizó junto a Eric Dunning sobre la particular temática de la violencia en el fútbol. Habiendo desglosado mínimamente estas dos posibilidades, usaremos la experiencia etnográfica para describir las particularidades del fenómeno en el caso argentino, para terminar estableciendo un diálogo entre los datos etnográficos y la mirada eliasiana.We propose in these articles to reflect on the phenomenon of violence in Argentine soccer using some conceptual work tools of Norbert Elias. This reflection involves a dual path. First, we will investigate the relationship between violence and sport in the context of conception of what Norbert Elias called the “process of civilization”, and then, analyze the subsequent work performed alongside German sociologist Eric Dunning on the particular issue of violence in soccer. No full text¿Pueden los clubes de fútbol en la Argentina ser sociedades anónimas? La pregunta que se hacen Rodrigo Daskal y Verónica Moreira en este libro es la pregunta del millón. Recobró vigencia con el cambio de gobierno, cuando el nuevo presidente, Mauricio Macri, apuntó al fútbol como símbolo de cambio. No porque el fútbol mueva tanto dinero –comparado con otras industrias–. Pero sí porque la pelota hace mucho ruido. Un ruido, tal vez, contagioso. Y porque Macri, siempre es bueno recordarlo, es el primer presidente de la historia argentina que llegó a la Casa Rosada, movilizado por la popularidad que le dio el fútbol. Sabe de qué se trata. El país, es cierto, votó un cambio. Pero no los socios de los clubes. Los resultados de las encuestas efectuadas por los clubes que consultaron a sus socios, nos recuerdan los autores, arrojaron resultados categóricos: no a las sociedades anónimas en el fútbol. No a los clubes como meras sociedades comerciales. Los clubes, es la respuesta, deben seguir en manos de los socios. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases.
