Analysis of the self-excited induction generator steady state performance using a new efficient algorithm

    No full text
The paper presents the application of DIRECT algorithm to analyse the performance of the Self-excited induction generator (SEIG). To the author best knowledge, this is the first attempt to apply it to such a problem. DIRECT algorithm is used to minimize the induction generator’s admittance without the need to separate it into its real and imaginary parts. No initial guess is required as it needs only the upper and lower values of the unknown variables which are easily determined. The obtained minimum admittance yields the adequate magnetizing reactance and the frequency. These two key parameters are then used to compute the self-excitation process requirements in terms of the prime mover speed, the capacitance and the load impedance on the one hand and to predict the generator steady state performance parameters on the other. Very good agreement between predicted results and experimental measurements is achieve

A bibliometrics visualization analysis of active packaging system for food packaging

    No full text
This bibliometric study includes publications on the use of active packaging in food packaging from 2000 to 2021. The number of research related to this study tends to increase annually with an annual growth rate of 23.76%, totaling 857 articles. In this study it was found that the most influential countries in the field of Active Packaging are Spain, China, and Brazil. Moreover, the International Journal of Biological Macromolecules and Nerín are the most prolific journal and author in scientific publications, respectively. Active packaging, food packaging, and antimicrobial are often used based on the total link strength out of the 1,775 keywords. The keyword analysis based on time found new terms that are being studied by many researchers, namely, bioplastics as environmentally friendly packaging, based on polysaccharides and nanoparticles, which have the potential to be developed or collaborated for breakthroughs. Therefore, the use of active packaging shows a promising trend for the packaging industry in the future

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of learning duration, learning facilities and student motivation on learning achievement in economics for class XI students at SMA N Kebakkramat partially or simultaneously. This research method uses survey research with questionnaire data collection techniques. This study the author uses quantitative research. The population of this study were all students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri Kebakkramat as many as 175 students with a sample of 122 students and the Probability Sampling technique. Analysis tools in the form of multiple linear regression, t test (partial test), F test (simultaneous test) and coefficient of determination test (R2). The results showed that the variables of Study Length, Learning Facilities and Student Motivation had a significant effect on Economic Learning Achievement of Class XI Students of Sma N Kebakkramat partially or simultaneously

The Use of Metacognitive Intervention to Reduce The Likelihood of Committing Questionable Research Practices

    No full text
This study is examining the effectiveness of metacognitive intervention to reduce the likelihood of committing Questionable Research Practices. Based on the research conducted by Gopalakhrisna et al. (2020), over the last three years, one out of every two researchers had engaged in at least one QRP, and one out of every twelve researchers had faked or manufactured at least one piece of research. Other research conducted by Kaiser et al. (2022), showed that 40% of the research participants (n total = 7291) comprised of experienced researchers and students from various background, acknowledged to have engaged in at least one QRP in the last three years. From these findings, we can conclude that QRPs have become alarmingly prevalent with troublesome high frequency numbers. The hypothesis that the author propose in this study is good metacognitive awareness is expected to be effective in reducing the likelihood of committing QRPs. To test the hypothesis, the author will use a specifically designed metacognition intervention and measure participant’s pre-intervention and post- intervention metacognitive commitment. In the intervention, the participants will be asked to predict their capability of answering a set of questions that will be given afterwards. The difference of the total correct answers and the prediction of correct answers will be the calibration. The value of calibration will explain how well someone are aware of their own capabilities. The critical question is whether the metacognitive awareness from the intervention given will reduce their likelihood of committing QRPs

The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) the influence of continuity of learning to learning difficulties. 2) the influence of peer learning interest on the level of learning difficulties. 3) the influence of continuity of learning and peer learning interest to the level of learning difficulties. This study type of associative quantitative research take a location on Accounting FKIP UMS. The population in this study is all students of Accounting Education force 2016 which amounted to 333 students. The sample was taken as many as 172 students with Simple Random 2 Sampilng technique. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and documentation. The analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis, t test, f test and relative and effective contribution. Y = 6,333+0,618X1+0,329X2. The concluded that: 1) continuity learning has a positive effect on the difficulties of learning economics mathematics course of accounting education student. Based on t test obtained thitung> ttable 13,718 > 1,974 and probability value <0,05, that is 0.000. 2) interest in peer learning has a positive effect on learning difficulties in the mathematical mathematics of economics students of accounting education year 2016. Based on t test obtained thitung> ttabel 6,948 > 1,974 and probability value <0,05, is 0.000. 3) continuity of learning and peer learning interests together to influence the learning difficulties in the mathematical mathematics of economics students of accounting education year 2016. This can be seen by the results of multiple linear regression analysis (F test) is known Fhitung> Ftable, that is 218,714 > 3,049 with significance value <0,05, is 0.000. 4) R2 = 0,721, it can be interpreted that 72,1% change / variation Y (learning difficulty) is caused by change / variation of x variable (continuity of learning and peer learning interest) while 27,9% the rest influenced by other variables not examined by the author
