Data on the number and frequency of scientific literature citations for established medulloblastoma cell lines

    No full text
This article collates information about the number of scientific articles mentioning each of the established medulloblastoma cell lines, derived through a systematic search of Web of Science, Scopus and Google Scholar in 2016. The data for each cell line have been presented as raw number of citations, percentage share of the total citations for each search engine and as an average percentage between the three search engines. In order to correct for the time since each cell line has been in use, the raw citation data have also been divided by the number of years since the derivation of each cell line. This is a supporting article for a review of in vitro models of medulloblastoma published in “in vitro models of medulloblastoma: choosing the right tool for the job” (D.P. Ivanov, D.A. Walker, B. Coyle, A.M. Grabowska, 2016) [1]

Eridano Bazzarelli, Blok and Ivanov. A few considerations. Until now the problem of relations between Blok and Ivanov was but scantily examined. Through the medium of various writings (letters, intimate diaries, poems) of the two writers, the author of the present article gives us a glimpse of the complexity of their mutual feelings: a mingling of attraction and rejection on Blok's side; admiration, love and attraction with no reservation on the side of Ivanov. It is particularly in the light of the "epistle" addressed by Blok to Viacheslav Ivanov and of the two poems that the latter dedicated to Blok to urge him to return to his quest of the Absolute that the ambiguity of their relations will be made apparent. Bazzarelli Eridano. Simon Markish, Viacheslav Ivanov and the Jews. The present article examines the attitude of Viacheslav Ivanov toward the Jewish people, and most particularly toward Russian Jews. (The opinion of Ivanov concerning the Judaism in its religious aspect and as a specific concept of the world is only slightly touched upon from a general point of view.) The author endeavors to appraise the position taken up by Ivanov on the nature of the problem itself within the context of philosemitism of the Silver Age in Russia. Markish Simon. Vjačeslav Ivanov et les juifs. Current article deals with the subject of characteristic mythological intellection of Silver Age Russian poet and symbolist V. Ivanov. The role of myth and mythogenesis are being estimated in the poetic concept of V. Ivanov. The influence of R. Wagner's and F. Nietzsche's ideas on the way Ivanov sees appropriation of art, symbol, and the role of artist is being consistently proven. Mostly the poet stated his ideas in articles, still in each case he manifested them in his poems, making poetry the sui generis illustration for his musement. The poet's twofold world view is being analyzed. Major landmarks for transforming of philosophical principles, the Apollo and the Dionysus ones, into poetic legacy of V. Ivanov are being outlined. The interlacing of pagan Dionysus principle and the Christian ones is being explored. It is being proven that the symbolic realization of the principles stated above enables the author to view them as a merged whole, connected to his own personal becoming stages

This article attempts to reconstruct the biography of the 2nd guild merchant of Ekaterinburg — Mikhail Ivanovich Ivanov, a native of the Simbirsk province and a peasant by origin, who was engaged in entrepreneurship in the Urals for more than 40 years. The author considers the main lines of the merchant’s business activity: Ivanov’s trade of wine and vodka, colonial groceries, and bakery production, as well as the search for gold-bearing areas and development of gold mines in the Perm and Orenburg provinces. The article analyzes the evolution of M. I. Ivanov’s views on entrepreneurship, which led to the rejection of a number of areas of his business. Considerable attention is paid to the social and Church activities of M. Ivanov. The author studies the nature and methods of his cooperation with secular and religious organizations and institutions, including the Ekaterinburg City Duma, Society of Trustees of the House of Diligence, and Society for Assistance to insufficient students of the Ekaterinburg Gymnasium, as well as the Ekaterinburg Department of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society, and Society for Mutual Assistance to Students and Teachers in Church schools of the Ekaterinburg diocese, and others. The article reveals M. I. Ivanov’s contribution to the creation of the House of Diligence in Ekaterinburg, his role in constructing a number of churches in the Perm, Simbirsk and Tobolsk provinces as well as in the famous Kozelsk monastery of Vvedenskaya Optina Pustyn. It shows how a successful, though not extremely wealthy, entrepreneur became one of the most generous benefactors in the history of Ekaterinburg. The author tells about Ivanov’s residence in the hermitage at Optina Pustyn for several years and also reveals the important role of M. I. Ivanov in organizing a visit of the outstanding Kronstadt Archpriest Ioann Ilyich Sergiev to Ekaterinburg

This article breaks down the less-known four-part drama by author Mara Švel-Gamiršek titled Đuka Ivanov, written at the very end of the thirties of the 20th century, and presents arguments that firmly define it as a socially engaged drama with strong naturalistic leanings. Despite hints that the play was meant to be staged at the HNK in Zagreb during the time of Julije Benešić and Aleksandar Freudenreich, Đuka Ivanov was only staged for the first time in 2015 in Osijek. With her play, Mara Švel-Gamiršek calls for a renewal of traditional values, a return to roots, preserving heritage, and points out the benefits that the earth affords us for our genuine, backbreaking work. With this comes the idea of a dramatic text with the basic tenets of Heimankunst, a literary phenomenon that could be found at the peak of German literature at the end of the first and beginning of the second decade of the 20th century, as one of the products of anti-modernist movements

Georges Nivat, Prospero and Ariel. An outline of the relations between Andrei Belyi and Viacheslav Ivanov. The article endeavors to draw the chronology and to strike up the balance of relations between two poets belonging to Russian symbolism: Viacheslav Ivanov and Andrei Belyi. On basis of memoirs and articles as well as of the correspondence preserved at the Lenin Library and to date unpublished, the author narrates the history of a friendship occasionally broken by sharp polemics (1907-1908), grave misunderstandings (as illustrated by Belyi' s scathing text, Sirin uchenogo varvarstva / The mermaid of learned barbary, 1918), but also enriched with periods of intense brotherly feeling. The unpublished correspondence, largely quoted, allows to throw a new light on the reconciliation of 1909, on Ivanov's ambiguous interest for anthroposophy (1912), and on some other points. Borrowing one of Briusov's formulas, the author suggests that Ivanov played the role of Prospero, and Belyi that of Ariel. Nivat Georges. Local Blaschke-Kakutani ellipsoid characterization and Banach's isometric subspaces problem

    No full text
We prove the following local version of Blaschke-Kakutani's characterization of ellipsoids: Let V be a finite-dimensional real vector space, B subset of V a convex body with 0 in its interior, and 2 <= k < dim Van integer. Suppose that the body B is contained in a cylinder based on the cross-section B boolean AND X for every k-plane X from a connected open set of linear k-planes in V. Then in the region of V swept by these k-planes B coincides with either an ellipsoid, or a cylinder over an ellipsoid, or a cylinder over a k-dimensional base. For k = 2 and k = 3 we obtain as a corollary a local solution to Banach's isometric subspaces problem: If all cross-sections of B by k-planes from a connected open set are linearly equivalent, then the same conclusion as above holds.
