    Clusterization and Strong Coulpled-Channels Effects in Deuteron Interaction with 9Be Nuclei

    Angular distributions of protons, deuterons, tritons and alphaparticles emitted in the d + 9Be reaction at Elab=19.5 and 35.0 MeV have been measured. The elastic scattering channel is analysed in the framework of both the Optical Model and the Coupled-Channel approach. The interaction potential of the d + 9Be system is calculated in the framework of the Double-Folding model using the α + α + n three-body wave function of the 9Be nucleus. The (d, p) and (d, t) one-nucleon-transfer reactions are analysed within the coupledreaction-channel approach. The spectroscopic amplitudes for the different nuclear cluster configurations are calculated. Differential cross sections for the reaction channel 9Be(d, α) 7Li are calculated including all possible reaction mechanisms within the coupled-reaction-channel method. Corresponding contributions to the cross sections are analysed.peerReviewe

    W tej pracy badano stany yrastowe w bogatym w neutrony jądrze 82Ge za pomocą reakcji rozszczepienia indukowanej neutronami. Dzięki wysokiej wydajności spektrometru ν-Ball, przy użyciu potrójnych koincydencji gamma, dwie wcześniej nieodnotowane przejścia zostały jednoznacznie przypisane do 82Ge. Przejścia te umieszczono w schemacie poziomów. Zidentyfikowano również nowy stan jądrowy o energii wzbudzenia 3947,9 keV. Spin Jπ = 7+, został przypisany do nowo zidentyfikowanego stanu na podstawie konfiguracji cząstka-dziura (νg9/2)-1(νd5/2)1. This study investigated the yrast states in the neutron-rich nucleus 82Ge through neutron-induced fission reactions. Thanks to the high efficiency of the ν-Ball spectrometer, using triple gamma coincidences, two previously unreported transitions were clearly assigned to 82Ge. These transitions were placed in the level scheme. A new nuclear state with an excitation energy of 3947.9 keV was also identified. The spin Jπ = 7+ was assigned to the newly identified state based on the particle-hole configuration (νg9/2)-1(νd5/2)1.Nieprzetworzone dane są zapisane w postaci plików *.dat, zawierających informacje o liczbie zarejestrowanych kwantów gamma o określonej energii. Takie widma sporządzono dla warunków, w których to, co najmniej 3, 4, 5, oraz 6 kwantów gamma było jednocześnie rejestrowanych przez układ detekcyjny. Dane zebrano w taki sposób, że energia kwantu gamma jest proporcjonalna w stosunku 1:1 do kanału określonego na widmie. Dane binarne można w prosty sposób przekształcić do plików typu ROOT, a stamtąd do odpowiednich macierzy gamma-gamma. Kody sortujące nieprzetworzone dane do różnych formatów a także dane pochodne odpowiadające różnym warunkom koincydencyjnym są dostępne po uprzednim kontakcie: [email protected] Raw data is stored in *.dat files, containing information about the number of registered gamma quanta with a specific energy. Such spectra were prepared for conditions where at least 3, 4, 5, and 6 gamma quanta were simultaneously registered by the detection system. The data was collected in such a way that the energy of the gamma quantum is in a 1:1 proportion to the channel specified on the spectrum. Binary data can be easily converted into ROOT files, and from there into the corresponding gamma-gamma matrices.     The ν\nu-ball  γ\gamma-spectrometer

    International audienceThe ν -ballspectrometer is an hybrid array combining high purity co-axial germanium detectors from the french-UK loan pool, clover detectors from the GAMMAPOOL, lanthanum bromide (LaBr 3 :Ce) scintillator detectors belonging to the FATIMA collaboration and phoswitches from the PARIS collaboration. The aim was to couple the excellent energy resolution of germanium detectors to the excellent time resolution of the LaBr 3  detectors. We achieved a total photopeak efficiency of 6.7% at 1.3 MeV, and peak-to-total ratio of 50% for the germanium part of the array. Using the digital acquisition system FASTER, we achieved time resolution of about 250 ps for LaBr 3 . This acquisition system made also possible the use of the calorimetry for reaction selection. It makes ν -ball the first fully digital large fast timing spectrometer with time resolution similar to analogue electronics. The construction began in June 2017 and commissioning was performed in early November 2017. From November 2017 to June 2018, more than 3200 h of beam time were provided by the ALTO facility to perform eight experiments during the campaign. Among them, five weeks of beam time were dedicated to γ spectroscopy of fast neutron induced reactions. In this paper all the technical details about the spectrometer are presented. First steps of the data analysis process are also discussed

    International audienceThe VErsatile Neutron DETector Array (VENDETA) is a high-resolution time-of-flight array for neutron detection. VENDETA’s liquid scintillator detectors offer a high intrinsic efficiency for neutron detection from 100keV to 20MeV, as well as neutron-γ discrimination capabilities down to 10keVee. VENDETA was specifically designed for versatility and is relevant for a wide range of physics measurements, from prompt fission neutron spectra measurements to neutron spectroscopy studies, such as elastic and inelastic neutron scattering measurements. VENDETA was first deployed at the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center. This article will provide a detailed overview of its characteristics

    Study of the pygmy dipole resonance using neutron inelastic scattering at GANIL-SPIRAL2/NFS

    The pygmy dipole resonance (PDR) has been the subject of numer-ous studies, both experimental and theoretical. Indeed, the study of the PDR has been and still is of great interest since it allows to constrain the symmetry energy, an important ingredient of the equation of state of nuclear matter that describes the matter within neutron stars. Moreover, the PDR is predicted to play a key role in the r-pro cess via the increase of the neutron capture rate. However, despite numerous experiments dedicated to the study of the PDR, a consistent description is still missing. In this context, we have proposed to study the PDR using a new probe: the neutron inelastic scattering reaction (n,n'-y). An experiment to study the pygmy resonance in 140Ce using the (n,n'-y) reaction has been performed in Septem-ber 2022. This experiment has been made possible thanks to the high-intensity proton beam of the new accelerator SPIRAL2 at GANIL and the NFS (Neutron For Science) facility. The experimental setup was composed of the new generation multi-detectors PARIS, for the detection of-y-rays coming from the de-excitation of the PDR, and MONSTER, for the detection of scattered neutrons.
