    1. ABSTRACT AND KEY WORDS Thema: Using EMG for comparing correct technic of upper limb recovery phase in the front crawl. Introduction: Our measurement is aimed to detect influence of muscles activity of the shoulder joint and back during the upper limb recovery phase in the front crawl. Monitoring and recording muscles activity by EMG inform about movement stereotype of our probands. We've tried to localized uncorrect activation oppossite to optima! muscle activity of (ex) competitive swimmer. Results of measuremens are used for correction of faulty upper limb recovery stereotype. Results should enlarged knowledge about technic of recovery and help in way of teaching both competitive and noncompetive swimmers, like students of FTVS UK (Fakulty of phyzical education and sport at The Charles University in Prague), which learns to swim in the age of adulthood. Protocol and measurements: Muscles were selected acording recommendation of leader of my diploma dissertation Mgr. Daniel Jurák. The ]ocations of the electrodes on the body were chosen acording to the recommendation of MUDr. David Pánek. Groups of muscles round shoulder joint were measured using EMG during the upper limb recovery phase in the front crawl. The EMG is synchronized with videorecorder. Both videorecord and EMG rneasurernent were analysed by..

Title: An analysis of the front crawl swimming technique Objective: The aim of this thesis is to analyze the technique of the swimming method of the front crawl. As part of the analysis, we focus on controlling individual segments of the body that significantly affect the effectiveness of movement. Research questions: Is the position of the participant's body in the desired range of angles from 0ř to 5ř? Are all phases in the upper extremities cycle consistent with the model technique? Do the lower extremities move during the front crawl kick according to the model technique? Is the inspirium performed optimally so as not to disrupt the correct position of the body? Is the interplay of the lower and upper extremities performed in optimal timing according to the model technique? Methods: An analysis of the swimming method of the front crawl was carried out in the student specialization of the Department of Swimming Sports UK FTVS. The data collection took place in Flum, where the technique was filmed from the left side (recorded on the surface), from the left upper side (recorded on the surface) and then from the forehead (recorded on the surface). The obtained videos were subsequently analyzed using the Kinovea software and the subcomponments were compared with the optimal model technique. After..

This report is on the investigations of frontal phenomena at the Daniel Guggenheim Airship Institute in Akron, Ohio from January 1, 1935 through August 1, 1936. The investigation was carried out with the cooperation of the U.S. Bureau of Aeronautics, the U.S. Weather Bureau, the California Institute of Technology, and the Guggenheim Airship Institute. Mr. R.C. Robinson of the Weather Bureau cooperated with the author in carrying out the investigation. The object of the investigation was to determine the intensity of the atmospheric disturbances (i.e. rapidity of wind shift and gustiness) accompanying the passage of cold fronts, along with a study of the characteristics of the air masses involved and other features which might affect the intensity of the disturbance. The report treated thirty cold fronts which passed the station during 1935 to 1936

Title: Analysis of stroking movements of crawl technique in persons with visual disabilities. Complained by: Bc. Marek Hájíček Supervisor: Mgr. Daniel Jurák Ph.D. Objectives: The aim of the study was to determine differencees among swimming technique of visually impaired swimmers and fully health swimmers. Methods: To assess the technique of the crawl swimming method, we used a 50 m swimming test, which we recorded and subsequently evaluated using the SmartPaddles technology and application. Results: Based on the results, we can say that the biggest differences in the technique of VI and fully health swimmers we recorded in the number of strokes per minute, in the total speed and in the execution of the stroke curve with the right and left hand. Fully health swimmer evenly distributed muscle strength between the two arms, while a swimmer with a VI had trouble maintaining muscle strength throughout the stroking movement. We have found that for visually impaired swimmers, it is necessary to devote more time to training and mastering swimming techniques than for healthy swimmers.
