Estratégias de cálculo mental com números racionais : um olhar sobre a expertise profissional de Cecilia Parra

Para tal, utilizamo-nos da história cultural, com os autores Burke (2016); Certeau (1985); Chartier (2002, 2011); Chervel (1990); Julia (2001); Pinto (2007, 2014); Valente (2020), trazendo contribuições da mesma para analisar documentos curriculares argentinos (Buenos Aires, 2004, 2006). Estes foram elaborados por Cecilia Parra, onde são apresentadas atividades e orientações para docentes. Trilhamos uma parte da trajetória desta pesquisa pelos bastidores da elaboração curricular brasileira, para perscrutar de que forma o cálculo mental com números naturais e racionais foi articulado na época analisada, que corresponde do ano de 2004 a 2010. Para melhor compreender os saberes presentes no material, fizemos uma discussão sobre o cálculo mental na educação básica entre os autores Berticelli (2017); Berticelli e Zancan (2017); Conceição (2021); Frana (2023), Berticelli e Novaes (2023); Parra (1996), Thompson (2010), em um paralelo com pesquisas realizadas dentro desta temática, sobre o cálculo mental no ensino de números naturais e destes articulados aos racionais. Com a intenção de entender alguns conceitos destes últimos, utilizamos Walle (2019, Romanatto (1997), Boyer (1974), Gomes (2010) e Bertoni (2009). Além disso, apresentamos uma entrevista realizada com Cecilia Parra, que nos abriu novas perspectivas, relacionadas às teorias de Guy Brousseau (2008) e Gérard Vergnaud (1996, 2007, 2009), presentes nos materiais argentinos. Os autores Hofstetter, Schneuwly e Freymond (2017); Morais (2019); Morais, Bertini e Valente (2021); Morais e Valente (2020) foram basilares na compreensão da expertise de Parra analisada nestes materiais. Concluímos que a autora é uma expert neste quesito, visto que cumpriu uma demanda do estado, trabalhando na elaboração do documento curricular, concomitante ao manual analisado, sendo estes ricos em conhecimentos e estratégias de cálculo mental no ensino de números racionais.Abstract: The main objective of this research is to understand the professional expertise of Cecilia Parra, an Argentine author and a reference in mathematics didactics on mental calculation with rational numbers, who was invited by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires to work on curriculum documents at the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century. To do this, we used cultural history, with the authors Burke (2016); Certeau (1985); Chartier (2002, 2011); Chervel (1990); Julia (2001); Pinto (2007, 2014); Valente (2020), bringing contributions from it to analyze Argentine curriculum documents (Buenos Aires, 2004, 2006). These were drawn up by Cecilia Parra, presenting activities and guidelines for teachers. We followed part of the path of this research through the backstage of Brazilian curriculum development, in order to see how mental calculation with natural and rational numbers was articulated during the period analyzed, which corresponds to 2004- 2010. In order to better understand the knowledge present in the material, we discussed mental calculation in basic education among the authors Berticelli (2017); Berticelli and Zancan (2017); Conceição (2021); Frana (2023), Berticelli and Novaes (2023); Parra (1996), Thompson (2010), in parallel with research carried out within this theme, on mental calculation in the teaching of natural numbers and these articulated with rational numbers. In order to understand some concepts of the latter, we used Walle (2019, Romanatto (1997), Boyer (1974), Gomes (2010) and Bertoni (2009). In addition, we presented an interview with Cecilia Parra, who opened up new perspectives related to the theories of Guy Brousseau (2008) and Gérard Vergnaud (1996, 2007, 2009), present in the Argentinian materials. The authors Hofstetter, Schneuwly and Freymond (2017); Morais (2019); Morais, Bertini and Valente (2021); Morais and Valente (2020) were key to understanding Parra's expertise analyzed in these materials. We conclude that the author is an expert in this regard, since she fulfilled a demand from the state, working on the preparation of the curriculum document, concomitant with the analyzed manual, which are rich in knowledge and mental calculation strategies in the teaching of rational numbers

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
Get PDFWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
