O pułapce „skojarzeniowej” w humanistyce. (Na marginesie uroszczenia S. Gałkowskiego w jego próbie „logicznej” wykładni Znanieckiego)

W tekście wskazuje się na pułapkę czytania epistemicznego jako etyczne nadużycie logiki. Wreszcie, zamiast zakończenia, mówi się o traktowaniu tradycji myśli humanistycznej i uczula na błędy interpretacyjne popełnione przez krytykowanego autora. Główny błąd polega na skojarzeniach czytelnika blokujących mu głębszy dostęp do znaczenia czytanej koncepcji.In his introduction the author of this polemic indicates the phenomenon of "reductio ad absurdum" of Znaniecki's conception in the exegesis of the addressee of this criticism. Next there is an outline sketched concerning the general perspective of disagreement against the approach by S. Gałkowski. There is also outlined criticism and appraisal towards Znaniecki by the author of this polemics. The text illustrates the trap of an epistemic reading as an ethical abuse of logics. Finally instead of a conclusion one is discussing the ways of treatement of the tradition of humanistic reflection and it warns against interpretative errors committed by the criticised author. The basic error is perceived as the result of domination of application of harmful associations of the leader blocking the way to deeper sense of the conception

No full textThe article describes the work of Jakub Kazimierz Haur, entitled The Store or Treasury of Excellent Secrets of Land Economy, first published in 1693. It is a voluminous book of more than five hundred pages, in which the author presented a lot of information from various disciplines – agriculture, meteorology, astrology, medicine, hygiene, veterinary medicine, plastic arts, geography and law, as well as some practical instructions on educating children, reading, hunting or protection against witchcraft. The book also touches on issues relating to costumes, and the parts of the text devoted to these issues were divided by the author into three categories. The first part is devoted to the history of costumes, both in Poland and in other countries, the second part provides information on 17th century fashion in the territory of Poland, and the third part gives practical tips on the cleaning and care of clothes. The book explicitly shows the author’s passion for didacticism, reflected especially in the fragments in which he criticizes women for being excessively influenced by fashion and for blindly copying foreign culture. Nevertheless, the 17th-century author considers clothing to be an important part of everyday life and recommends proper care of it. It should be noted that some of the in the book on how to take care of clothes is still valid today.Artykuł przybliża dzieło Jakuba Kazimierza Haura zatytułowane Skład albo skarbiec znakomitych sekretów ekonomiej ziemiańskiej wydane po raz pierwszy w roku 1693. Jest to bardzo obszerna, licząca ponad pięćset stron, księga, w której autor zawarł szereg informacji z najróżniejszych dziedzin – rolnictwa, meteorologii, astrologii, medycyny, higieny, weterynarii, sztuk plastycznych, geografii i prawa, a także garść porad dotyczących kulinariów, wychowywania dzieci, czytelnictwa, łowiectwa czy zabezpieczania się przed czarami. Na kartach tego dzieła znalazła swoje miejsce także tematyka związana ze strojami. Te fragmenty tekstu podzielił autor na trzy kategorie. Pierwszą stanowią rozważania o historii ubioru zarówno w Polsce, jak i w innych krajach, drugą – informacje o XVII-wiecznej modzie na terenie Rzeczypospolitej, trzeci obszar rozważań Haura obejmuje natomiast praktyczne porady dotyczące czyszczenia odzieży i dbania o nią. W utworze wyraźnie daje o sobie znać skłonność autora do dydaktyzmu, szczególnie w tych fragmentach, w których krytykuje on Polki za nadmierne uleganie dyktatowi mody i ślepe naśladownictwo obcej kultury. Niezależnie jednak od tego XVII-wieczny autor postrzega strój jako ważny element codzienności i zaleca o niego dbać, przy czym niektóre zamieszczone w dziele porady dotyczące konserwacji odzieży nie straciły do dziś aktualności

No full textMyxococcus vastator sp. nov. Myxococcus vastator (vas.ta’tor L. masc. n. vastator the ravager, after its ability to devastate colonies of prey cells). Vegetative cells are Gram-negative bacilli tapering slightly at the ends, measuring 0.6–0.7 m m 3.0–6.0 m m in electron micrographs. Colonies exhibit swarming motility and appear pale brown on VY-2 agar (w/v 0.5% dried baker’s yeast, 0.1% CaCl 2 2H 2 O, and 1.5% agar). Fruiting bodies are irregular spheroids, orange in color. Aerobic growth was observed at 30 C and at pH 8.0–9.0. Growth was unaffected by the addition of 1% NaCl. Hydrolyzes arginine and urea. Assimilates malate. Cells prey with low efficiency upon E. coli TOP 10, Cl. nebraskensis DSM 7483, and U. maydis DSM 14603. DNA GC content is 69.9 mol%. The draft genome sequence of AM301 T is available from GenBank (accession JAAIYB01). No full textThe author of the article after a brief reflection reminiscent the story of the Metropolitan Court in Bialystok raises issues concerning the canon proceedings. He draws attention to the common perception in the society, and especially in the media, about the concept of the “church divorce”. He shows how wrong it is formulated and what negative eff ects entail its use. This leads in fact to identification of the canonical proceedings for annulment of the marriage with the divorce proceedings. Similarly, the author explains who is the defendant in a canonical process, so often mistakenly equated in the common sense with the accused in a criminal trial. It also indicates the important role played by a witness in the proceedings. The author warns the interested in canonical proceedings against the use of accidental legal advice and encourages these people to direct contact with the ecclesiastical courts, where one can find a friendly and professional legal advice.Autor artykułu po krótkiej refleksji przypominającej historię Sądu Metropolitalnego w Białymstoku porusza zagadnienia dotyczące samego postępowania kanonicznego. Zwraca uwagę na funkcjonujące w powszechnej świadomości społecznej, a szczególnie w środkach przekazu pojęcie „rozwód kościelny”. Wykazuje jak błędne jest to sformułowanie i jakie negatywne skutki pociąga za sobą jego używanie. Prowadzi to bowiem do utożsamiania kanonicznego postępowania o stwierdzenie nieważności zawarcia małżeństwa z postępowaniem rozwodowym. Podobnie autor wyjaśnia kim jest strona pozwana w procesie kanonicznym, tak często błędnie utożsamiana w powszechnym rozumieniu z oskarżonym w procesie karnym. Ponadto wskazuje jak ważną rolę w postępowaniu odgrywa świadek. Autor przestrzega zainteresowanych postępowaniem kanonicznym przed korzystaniem z przypadkowych porad prawnych i zachęca te osoby do bezpośredniego kontaktu z sądami kościelnymi, gdzie można znaleźć życzliwą i fachową poradę prawną.ks. W gorsecie czy w surducie? Strój w dziewiętnastowiecznym dyskursie emancypacyjnym
No full textThe paper illustrates the relationship between women’s clothing and the processes of modernization in the 19th century Europe. The author focuses on the discourse of emancipation and women who, like the French writer George Sand and a group of her Polish followers, broke away from the traditional image of women and adopted masculine clothing. In Poland, the interpretation of Sand’s lifestyle, characterized by her preference for masculine clothing, posed a challenge to her first biographers, who associated the author of Indiana with Frederic Chopin. A woman in a frock coat with a cigar or pipe in her hand was seen by opponents of emancipation as a troublemaker seeking applause. She discredited not only herself, but also the idea of emancipation. Accusations of seeking attention and cheap sensation were accompanied by charges of a sexual-erotic nature: shamelessness, licentiousness, and moral decay. Eliza Orzeszkowa knew and appreciated Sand’s work. She herself avoided talking about her private life. In Kilka słów o kobietach (1870, A Few Words On Women), the essay which was fundamental to the further development of the emancipation movement in Poland. She criticized the troublemakers, bluestocking and lioness women, who reduced the idea of equality to behaviour that violated social norms. In her emancipation program, she advocated respect for the family and marriage, and moral and ethical standards.Artykuł ukazuje związek między strojem kobiecym a procesami modernizacyjnymi zachodzącymi w Europie w XIX wieku. Autorka koncentruje się na dyskursie emancypacyjnym i kobietach, które tak jak francuska pisarka George Sand i grono jej polskich naśladowczyń zrywały z tradycyjnym wizerunkiem kobiety i zakładały męskie stroje. W Polsce z interpretacją stylu życia Sand, noszącej męską garderobę, nie radzili sobie jej pierwsi biografowie, piszący o autorce Indiany w związku z Fryderykiem Chopinem. Kobieta w surducie, z cygarem lub fajką w ręku w ocenie przeciwników emancypacji była awanturnicą, szukającą poklasku. Kompromitowała nie tylko siebie, ale i ideę emancypacyjną. Do oskarżeń o szukanie atencji i taniej sensacji dochodziły zarzuty o podłożu seksualno-erotycznym: o bezwstydności, rozwiązłości, zgniliźnie moralnej. Eliza Orzeszkowa znała i ceniła twórczość Sand. Sama unikała mówienia o swoim życiu prywatnym. W Kilku słowach o kobietach (1870), rozprawie fundamentalnej dla dalszego rozwoju ruchu emancypacyjnego w Polsce, krytyce poddała awanturnice, sawantki i kobiety lwice, które ideę równouprawnienia sprowadzają do zachowań naruszających społeczne normy.
