The caption on the page says, "A B-17F Flying Fortress. The 'Old Reliable' is an old plane which has had 78 combat missions to its credit before being declared unfit for combat. It wasa plane in the squadron which Robert Conley helped maintain. It had been patched and repatched from holes made by enemy machine gun bullets and anti-aircraft fire.
