No full textThe author attempts to show that the polyglottic nature and the linguistic «gibberish» of Gil Vicente's theatre does not intend to imitate the authenticity of its characters but to «carnivalise» the text, thereby making it a kind of manipean satire, which was in vogue at the time. The author intends to demonstrate that the theatre of Gil Vicente is not a «theatre of signifiers» (i.e. Gil Vicente's writing is not imitative in the aristotelic sense, but figurative)

No full textBefore this research started, a major issue was faced: the lack of bibliography in Spanish language, either that written in Spanish or translated into Spanish from other language.
The above-mentioned issue had a demotivating effect on proceeding with the research work, nonetheless, in order to find solutions to the obstacles it faces and to find out the factors influencing the lack of such bibliography in Spanish, the research was finally carried out.
This study targets the Digital Matte Painting technique: how it works, a brief history of the technique, some authors and films that were elaborated using it.
The way in which this technique has helped in films will also be mentioned. Certain problems related to it will be presented, focusing on its status in Spain.
Throughout his research and scientific experience in the specific technique, the author has been able to identify the obstacles that mostly prevent its consolidation in all areas of its application at the national level (mainly in the film industry). The author therefore provides a set of suggestions that, in his opinion, would contribute in its reinforcement as a digital technique for countless artistic and creative possibilities.Emilio Gil fundó, junto a otros tres socios, Tau Diseño en 1980 a partir de un pequeño estudio anterior cuando se
dieron las circunstancias que hacían necesario profesionalizar la estructura de algo que había venido funcionando
sin una base empresarial hasta entonces.
Entre los cuatro socios fundadores no había ningún titulado en Diseño. Procedían del campo de la Arquitectura, el
Periodismo o incluso un licenciado en Filosofía Pura. En los años en los que Tau Diseño se constituye, lo habitual
era la práctica de la profesión a título individual: pequeños estudios alrededor de una persona que, en algunos
casos, se valía de algún ayudante maquetador o arte finalista. Sin embargo Tau nació con la intención de ser un
grupo de profesionales que se complementaran en sus diferentes especialidades.
El diseñador declara que su intención no era formar un estudio propio sino todo lo contrario: una aventura
compartida que respondía a su concepción del diseño como adecuación a unos objetivos, al margen de un estilo
personal, y no como obra de autor con una impronta de estilo personal.
Fiel a este planteamiento Emilio Gil presenta en este artículo tres proyectos que responden a esas intenciones: un
libro de referencia sobre la historia reciente de nuestro Diseño: Pioneros del Diseño Gráfico en España, la imagen
del Máster de Gestión Cultural de la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid y el cartel de la edición 75 de la Feria del Libro

Proteomic profiling of the extracellular vesicles and the secretome of "Candida albicans" and functional analysis of cell surface proteins
No full textTesis inédita de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Facultad de Farmacia, Departamento de Microbiología II, leída el 11-02-2016Candida albicans es un importante patógeno oportunista en humanos, que puede causar distintos tipos de infecciones, desde micosis superficiales hasta sistémicas. La candidiasis invasiva es una enfermedad que puede causar mortalidad en pacientes inmunocomprometidos. Para causar daño en el hospedador, C. albicans cuenta con una serie de factores de virulencia. Entre ellos destaca la capacidad de cambiar su forma de crecimiento de levadura a hifa. La superficie celular es la estructura más externa de la célula y el punto de contacto entre el hongo y el hospedador. Las proteínas de superficie tienen un papel importante en la integridad estructural de la célula y en la adherencia e invasión de células del hospedador. Una de las proteínas localizadas en la superficie celular es Ecm33, una proteína de pared celular con anclaje glicosilfosfatidilinositol (GPI). La deleción de esta proteína afecta a la morfología tanto de levaduras como de hifas, dando como resultado células con la pared celular alterada y virulencia reducida tanto en condiciones in vitro como in vivo. El secretoma o las proteínas secretadas por C. albicans son también relevantes en la interacción patógeno-hospedador. C. albicans secreta muchas proteínas importantes relacionadas con diferentes procesos, entre los que se incluyen la formación de biofilms, la adquisición de nutrientes y el mantenimiento de la integridad de la pared celular. Muchas de estas proteínas secretadas, como las pertenecientes a las familias de aspartil proteasas (Sap) y la familia de fosfolipasas B (Plb), también han sido detectadas en la pared celular, ya que deben pasar a través de ella en su tránsito hacia el medio extracelular. Estas proteínas tienen un péptido señal en el extremo N-terminal que es el responsable de dirigirlas a la ruta clásica de secreción. Sin embargo, cerca de un tercio de las proteínas identificadas en el medio extracelular de C. albicans no poseen dicho péptido señal en su secuencia...Candida albicans is a commensal fungus in humans which causes different infections ranging from superficial to systemic. Invasive candidiasis is an important cause of disease and mortality in immunocompromised patients. The ability to switch from yeast to hypha growth is essential for virulence in C. albicans which express distinct cell surface proteins in these stages. The cell surface is the most external structure and the initial point of contact between the fungus and the host. Surface proteins play an important role in the structural integrity of the cell, adherence and invasion of host cells. One of these proteins is Ecm33, a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked cell wall protein. The absence of this protein affects both yeast and hypha morphology and results in an aberrant wall structure and reduced virulence in vitro and in vivo. The C. albicans secreted proteins are also relevant in host-pathogen interaction. C. albicans secretes many important proteins involved in different processes, including biofilm formation, cell nutrient acquisition and cell wall integrity maintenance. Some secreted proteins, such as secreted aspartyl proteinases (Sap) and phospholipase B (Plb) families have been detected in the cell wall since they must pass through it to be secreted. These proteins have an amino-terminal signal peptide that is responsible for directing them into the classical secretory pathway. Furthermore, close to one-third of extracellular proteins identified in the C. albicans secretome do not possess a secretion signal. These proteins lacking the N-linked signal peptide should use alternative routes of exportation. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) have been described as a mechanism of molecular traffic across the cell wall to the extracellular space in fungi. Las Sinsombrero - forgotten women artists through the memories of Concha Méndez and María Teresa León

This is the beginning of a quote by the surrealist painter Maruja Mallo about a small rebellion realized during a stroll around Puerta del Sol, which gave its name to a whole generation of women artists who have been forgotten throughout history. Las Sinsombrero, the ones without hats, were women creating in the 1920s and 1930s, in the so-called Silver Age of Spanish literature, side by side with their famous male counterparts of the Generation 27. The legacy of Maruja Mallo, Concha Méndez, Rosa Chacel, María Zambrano, Ernestina de Champourcín, María Teresa León, Josefina de la Torre, Carmen Conde, Ángeles Santos, Margarita Manso, María Blanchard and Marga Gil Roësset can be found not only in the field of literature, but also painting, sculpture, film and philosophy. This thesis focuses on two authors selected from their midst, namely poet Concha Méndez and writer María Teresa León. It aims to introduce this forgotten generation with the help of their own memories, captured in in the book assembled by Concha Méndez's granddaughter Paloma Ulacia Altolaguirre, Concha Méndez. Memorias habladas, memorias armadas, in her poetry and in María Teresa León's autobiographical work Memoria de la melancolía. By focusing on..."Jednoho dne nás, Federika, Dalího, Margaritu Manso a mě, napadlo sundat si klobouk..." Tak zní začátek citátu surrealistické malířky Marujy Mallo o drobné rebelii uskutečněné při procházce po náměstí Puerta del Sol, jež dala vzniknout pojmenování celé jedné generace umělkyň, na něž se v průběhu historie zapomnělo. Las Sinsombrero, ty bez klobouku, byly ženy tvořící ve 20. a 30. letech dvacátého století, v takzvaném Stříbrném věku španělské literatury, bok po boku svých známých mužských protějšků z Generace 27. Odkaz Marujy Mallo, Conchy Méndez, Rosy Chacel, Maríi Zambrano, Ernestiny de Champourcín, Maríi Teresy León, Josefiny de la Torre, Carmen Conde, Ángeles Santos, Margarity Manso, Maríi Blanchard či Margy Gil Roësset nalezneme nejen na poli literatury, ale také malířství, sochařství, filmu a filozofie. Tato práce se zaměřuje na dvě z jejich řad zvolené autorky, konkrétně básnířku Conchu Méndez a spisovatelku Maríu Teresu León. Dává si za cíl přiblížit tuto zapomenutou generaci za pomoci jejich vlastních vzpomínek zachycených v knize zkompletované vnučkou Conchy Méndez Palomou Ulacií Altolaguirre Concha Méndez. Memorias habladas, memorias armadas, v její básnické tvorbě a v autobiografickém díle Maríi Teresy León Memoria de la melancolía. Hoy en día se ven ya pocos, puede que en alguna alquería aun se puedan ver y disfrutar de ellos. De I a D, sentados sobre la arena: (2) Toni Palau y (3) Pepe Palau. 2ª fila: (3) Concha Palau y (4) Carmen Palau. 3ª fila encima de los banquitos de madera: (2) Amparo Palau y (3) Teresa Palau. Pepe Palau tuvo un negocio de electricidad en la calle Mayor de nuestra ciudad, al lado de la Farmacia Tellado. Los Palau eran muy amigos de los Aguilar. Antes de la guerra civil vivían en la calle Cervantes nº 33, frente a la Barbería de José Aguilar Miralles. Junto a la casa de los Palau vivieron también antes de la guerra española los Gil Roca, de aquí la amistad de las tres familias, Palau, Aguilar y Gil Roca
