No full textThe purpose of this study is to promote the results of bioethical research applied to the area of public administration of human resources and to explain how it can contribute to elevating the quality of administrative processes and public services.The caracteristics of public administration and it employee profiles lead us to believe that bioethics is an essential component in stimulating fair and just participation in accordance with the requirements of a modern state. The research is descriptive and field based. The scale used was a Lickert type scale with three alternative answers, and the Alpha-Cronbach method for confidence levels was applied to the instrument. Among the result it was found that the present situation of public human resource administration is propitious for applying a bioethical approach to administrative processes and to consolidating a citizen oriented conception in its human resource base.El estudio presentado tiene el propósito de dar a conocer los resultados de la investigación bioética aplicada a la administración pública de los recursos humanos y como puede contribuir a elevar la calidad de los procesos administrativos y de servicios públicos. Las características de la administración pública y el perfil de sus empleados, permiten pensar que la bioética es un componente esencial para incentivar la rectitud de una participación ciudadana acorde con las exigencias de un estado moderno. La investigación es de tipo descriptiva y de campo. Se utilizó la escala Lickert con tres alternativas de respuesta; y el método alfa cronbach para la confiabilidad del instrumento. Como resultados se observa que la situación actual de la administración pública es propicia para aplicar un enfoque bioético a sus procesos administrativos y consolidar una concepción ciudadana en los recursos humanos de la mism
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Cognitive maps allow review mental representations of space of an individual, taking into account not only material elements, but also symbolic and emotional, capturing the significance of space, being, therefore, a resource for teaching local Geohistory while serving as a source and reference of the mental representation of local space and its significance and meaning for people in the communities.Se estudia el uso de mapas cognitivos como estrategia de enseñanza-aprendizaje en el área de las Ciencias Sociales, teniendo como referente las tendenciastransdisciplinarias en dicha área, tales como el Enfoque Geohistórico y la Geografía Social; los pilares educativos de la UNESCO y las reflexiones de la pedagogía crítica. Los mapas cognitivos permiten reseñar las representaciones mentales del espacio de un individuo, no sólo tomando en cuenta elementos materiales, sino también simbólicos y emotivos, captando la significación del espacio; siendo, por lo tanto, un recurso para la enseñanza de la Geohistoria local en tanto que sirven como fuente y referencia de la representación mental del espacio local, así como de su significación y sentido para los habitantes de las comunidades

Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
