El self y sus pluralidades: un análisis desde el paradigma de la complejidad
Get PDFIt is considered shared opinions about
the diverse self-referents definitions and terms. This
diversity is valued in its real scope, and interpreted as a
necessary pluralism to analyze a complex phenomenon
such as the self. In this sense, some self-referential
analysis from linear and complex perspectives are considered,
showing some of their main differences according
to an epistemological standpoint. Following this,
a theoretical complexity-based model of the self is presented;
this model permit to explain the question of
diversity in self research, and to set forth some criteria
to develop an integrated self conception coming from
different theories. Besides, considering self interactive
aspect makes to propose an analysis of complex nuances
in environmental influences that affect self-referents
system; specifically, those related to an interactive
power studied in Microphysics, and the asinthotic
freedom -which contradicts the classical views about
the load of the interaction strength. This analysis is
translated into some complex elements in others'
influence in the self.Acerca de la diversidad de definiciones y
términos autorreferenciales se considera la opinión
compartida sobre la problemática de la misma. Se valora
el alcance real de dicha diversidad y se observa que
ésta puede ser interpretada como pluralidad necesaria
en el análisis de un fenómeno complejo como el self
(sí mismo). Se consideran algunos análisis autorreferenciales
que se practican desde concepciones lineales y
complejas y se muestran algunas de las mayores diferencias
según el enfoque epistemológico. A partir de
aquí se presenta un modelo teórico basado en una concepción
compleja del self y, tomando como referencia
este modelo, se explica la problemática de la diversidad
en la investigación del self y se plantean criterios para
el desarrollo de una concepción integradora de diversas
orientaciones. En esta misma línea, atendiendo a la
dimensión interactiva del self se propone un análisis de
ciertos aspectos complejos de la influencia del medio
sobre el sistema de autorreferencias. En esta propuesta
se consideran algunos tipos de fuerzas interactivas se
dan en la microfísica y un efecto que contradice las
concepciones clásicas sobre el poder de las fuerzas de
interacción: la libertad asintótica. En relación con lo
visto a lo largo del trabajo, se plantea un análisis que
pone de manifiesto ciertos aspectos complejos de la
influencia de los otros sobre el self
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Investigação-Intervenção Psicossocial: Experiência Vista desde a Psicossociologia do Tempo Livre
No full textA investigação-intervenção requer uma reflexão de seu alcance e da possibilidade de transformação da realidade. Estabelecer um diálogo com diferentes propostas permite verificar suas possibilidades e limites. Este trabalho descreve o contexto sociocultural da intervenção e as atividades realizadas com crianças e jovens em situação de desigualdade social nas comunidades litorâneas do Nordeste do Brasil. Os resultados obtidos são discutidos, a partir da perspectiva social crítica, com o uso do tempo de ócio como tempo livre para a transformação e apropriação do uso do tempo; sobretudo, atendendo à formação para a reflexão crítica sobre si mesmo. Desde esta perspectiva, sugere-se incorporar, a partir das possibilidades da apropriação e de autocondicionamento do tempo, novos objetivos e atividades nos futuros projetos de investigação-intervenção.La investigación-intervención psicosocial requiere reflexionar sobre su alcance respecto a la transformación de la realidad. Establecer un diálogo con diferentes propuestas permite valorar las posibilidades y límites de la intervención realizada. En este trabajo, se describen el contexto sociocultural donde se interviene y las actividades realizadas con niños y jóvenes en situación de desigualdad social de la costa del Noroeste del Brasil. Los resultados obtenidos se discuten desde una perspectiva social crítica que propone un uso del tiempo de ocio como tiempo para la transformación en pro del comportamiento autocondicionado y la apropiación del tiempo; todo ello, sin desatender a la formación para la reflexión crítica respecto al sí mismo de la persona. Desde esta perspectiva, se sugiere incorporar, a partir de las posibilidades de la apropiación y el uso autocondicionado del tiempo, nuevos objetivos y actividades en futuros proyectos de investigación-intervención.The psychosocial intervention research requires reflection on him in respect to the transformation of reality. Establish a dialogue with various proposals can assess the possibilities and limits of the intervention. In this paper, we describe the sociocultural context where it intervenes and activities conduced with children and youth at the social inequality in the North West coast of Brazil. The results obtained in this experiment are analyzed from a critical social perspective proposed use of leisure time as a time for transformation towards leisure time autocondicionado and ownership. From this perspective, the discussion of the results suggested the incorporation, from the possibilities of appropriation and use autocondicionado time, new goals and activities in future research and intervention

counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
