Effectiveness of discovery learning-based multiple representation module to enhance the critical thinking skills of the students with high and low science process skills
Get PDFThe study examines the effectiveness of a multiple representation module based on discovery learning in enhancing students' critical thinking. The study used a quasi-experiment design with a 2×2 design analysis. The subjects were 114 students with high and low science process skills from Sleman district's class VII Islamic Junior High Schools. The sample was separated into two groups: a control group that utilized conventional modules and an experimental group that utilized a Discovery Learning-based Multiple Representation module; each sample group was further broken into two groups with high and low science process skills. The test of critical thinking skills was adopted by Facione (2011). Another instrument was an observation sheet to observe science process abilities. The data analysis revealed that implementing the Discovery Learning-based Multiple Representation modules improved students' critical thinking abilities. Not only did student science process abilities influence their critical thinking abilities, but there was also an interaction between the module and student science process abilities
A Systematic Review of Adaptive Learning Research in Physics Education in Indonesia
Get PDFThis study aimed to map publication topics and research interests based on the author’s keywords in an analysis of co-occurrence analysis from the Scopus database on adaptive learning research in physics education. This study used a systematic review method with primary data sources, namely, articles from scientific journals and proceedings indexed by Scopus from 2014 to 2021. Keyword restrictions were focused on adaptive learning with physics topics in Indonesia. The results of the study showed that the five main clusters related to adaptive learning, were machine learning, deep learning, algorithms, calculations, and students. Based on the results of the novelty analysis, areas becoming research trends in the realm of educational research were independent learning, instructional design, and curriculum to optimize adaptive learning. The results of this study could be used as a reference for further research focusing on developing and optimizing the potential of adaptive learning in Indonesia

Meta-analysis of the effect of project-based learning on enhancing 21st century skills

The research method used is a survey with documentation techniques on journals available in Indonesia One Search, which is then analyzed by meta-analysis by calculating the effect size of each research variable. From the journal search results, 25 journals were obtained, consisting of 9 journals on critical thinking skills, 10 on creative thinking skills, and six on problem-solving skills. As a nation, our president announced that he will stop our exports of raw nickel to the EU, and this is a bold move. As an academician, we have been working hard to do our research and get published, let's celebrate regardless of our
number of publications. As a person, we have managed to keep our interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships in check, so we must be grateful. As an entity, our workplace has also achieved numerous accomplishments that we are proud of.
When we read or see tons of information on the internet, it is very difficult to digest and sorts the correct and useful information. If we are aware, there are many videos that talk about a recession in 2023, that state there will be an economic crisis, so we need to prepare for it or otherwise, we are doomed. Sometimes it is good to see such videos to prepare but sometimes it is also overwhelming.
As a country with five major religions, and our first Pancasila stated to "Believed in God", the construction of spirituality is very important. Spirituality comes from within us and we have a higher calling to do what’s good, what's moral, and what's not from our belief system. For
instance, if we are Muslims, we are obliged to do five times prayer and not eat pork as it is considered haram. By standing on these main principles of being a Muslim, we are keen on walking ahead to face whatever God has planned for us. it is necessary for us to have a strong principle at heart that is based on our belief system. a strong spirituality, we have a tendency to be kind to other people.
Kindness is the basis of practicing humanity. When we are not judging why someone does what they do, but rather inquire why we value them as a human. Therefore, we practice humanity.
To face 2023, we do not need to be fully equipped with millions of savings, although that can be an advantage. As such knowledge is given to us, to help us, we are human and need to construct our spirituality and humanity so that we won't be lost in the uncertainty. Strategic implementation of assessment "for" and "as" learning in science education
Get PDFThe relatively needed assessments at this time are ssessment for learning and assessment as learning. This study iscusses the strategy to adopt these assessments in science class. The method used is a literature study by reviewing relevant research results from books and relevant article results. The criteria for the articles discussed are related to assessment of learning, assessment for earning, and assessment as learning. The research findings provide three strategies to conduct an assessment for learning and assessment as learning that are 1) self-assessment, 2) peer-assessment, and 3) feedback. We hope that these results can provide a new perspective for teachers in making assessment schemes

Get PDFTelah dilakukan penelitian korelasional untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan dasar matematika serta kemampuan penalaran terhadap hasil belajar IPA/Fisika. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada bulan September 2010 dengan populasi peserta didik kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah Muntilan, Kabupaten Magelang, Jawa Tengah tahun ajaran 2010/2011. Metode penelitian adalah korelasional dengan instrumen pengumpulan data berupa tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi dan korelasi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan dasar matematika dan kemampuan penalaran berpengaruh secara berarti terhadap hasil belajar IPA/Fisika.Kata kunci: kemampuan dasar matematika, penalaran, hasil belajar, IPA/Fisika
