Assessing the Role of Online Banking Characteristics in the Target Selection of Banking Malware
Understanding target selection is a step before making a suitable proactive measure to address the complex issue of banking malware in online banking landscape. Despite several previous studies, gaps in the research of target selection are still present like the lack of attention to the non-targeted entities, the presence of other potential factors and the change in the landscape itself. Seeking to address the gaps, this research is conducted to find out what characteristics related to online banking services can affect the likelihood of the malware attack to them. The research starts with literature review to identify characteristics which can potentially explain the target selection, in accordance to aspects of Routine Activity Theory (RAT). Next, data about malware attack and the list of banks as well as several external data like language and authentication factor of online banking were collected and processed for quantitative analysis. Several metrics to approach the actual attack count were proposed and other metrics were extracted from the data. Some interesting findings were captured, like, within the period February 2014 – November 2017, from 5,039 banks in the EU, 1,188 banks were without any online banking services and from 3,851 banks with an online banking service, 1,802 banks were found targeted and 2,049 not targeted. Some malware variants were also seen performing targeted attacks. Meanwhile, it is found from explanatory analysis that some characteristics maintain their significance in explaining the likelihood of attack, like the presence of English and two-factor authentication. Services offering English language were seen to be more attacked. Contrarily, services which implemented 2-factor authentication were found to receive fewer attacks, although more entities with such authentication were targeted. Meanwhile, some other variables were getting less significant when more controlling factors are taken into account, indicating that some variables were relatively more or less important than others. Future work is needed in order to enhance the model so that more plausible conclusion can be obtained, such as improving and adding more data as well as including more factors, especially those that are financial and market related.Complex Systems Engineering and Management (CoSEM
The Evaluation of Alleged Defamation: A Forensic Linguistics Analysis
Defamation remains a prevalent occurrence on a global scale. In Indonesia, the fervor surrounding the outcomes of the 2014 presidential election contestation has led to a noticeable escalation in the level of fanaticism among supporters of the respective presidential and vice-presidential candidates. Frequently, the act of posting tweets on the social media platform Twitter can result in the author becoming entangled in a legal dispute pertaining to defamation. The objective of this research is to investigate the potential occurrence of defamation committed by Natalius Pigai, the former National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) member. The analytical framework employed in this study to assess the linguistic techniques employed in the data, with the aim of identifying potential instances of defamation, was Appraisal Theory as proposed by Martin and White (2005). The data was extracted from a Twitter post authored by Natalius Pigai (@NataliusPigai2) on October 1, 2021. The findings indicated that Jokowi and Ganjar were subjected to poor evaluation in relation to their treatment of the Papuan population. The presence of this adverse evaluation also gives rise to the possibility of defamation in accordance with the provisions outlined in the Criminal Code and the ITE Law. The presence of credible factual evidence supports the assertion that Natalius Pigai\u27s tweet can be classified as hate speech, which has the potential to result in defamation. The findings derived from this study could potentially facilitate the application of law enforcement strategies in the Indonesian police investigation, as well as in other nations that are undertaking comparable reforms to those observed in Indonesia.

PROJECTION GROWTH TWO-WHEELED VEHICLES AT PT. ETERNAL DESIRE OF REPRESENTATIVES YOUR FAME WITH USE EQUALITY DIFFERENTIAL GROWTH MODEL POPULATION CONTINUOUS (EXPONENTIAL MODEL AND LOGISTIC MODEL)
This research explains how to determine the growth model for two-wheeled vehicles entered and sold at PT. Hasjrat Abadi, representative of Kefamenanu. The author uses data obtained from PT. Hasjrat Abadi representing Kefamenanu from 2019 – 2022. This research aims to apply the Differential Equation model Continuous Exponential Model and Logistic Model which are used to predict the growth rate of two-wheelers entered and sold at PT. Eternal Passion of the Ministry of Famennanu Representative . The results of this research show that the exponential III model is the most accurate for predicting the number of vehicles in 2025 in the form of a vehicle equation with a relative growth rate of 21% for incoming vehicles while vehicles with a relative growth rate of 21% per year. In the logistic model, the logistic model I is the most accurate for predicting the number of vehicles coming in and sold in 2025 which will be as many vehicles coming in as the number of vehicles being sold while the number of vehicles being sold . Based on the calculation results of the two models, which has the smallest error (the best model) in predicting the number of two-wheeled vehicles entered and sold at PT. The Kefamenanu Representative\u27s eternal desire in 2025 is a logistics model
