[[alternative]]A Study on Life Meaning in Chi-teng Sheng and His Fiction
No full text[[abstract]] 七等生是台灣重要的小說家之一，在三十五年的創作生涯中，共發表了近一百三十篇小說，並有三次的全集出版。其強烈的內視性質，及來回於現實與理想之間的手法，都形成了他獨特的寫作風格。本文即是依據七等生利用書寫的形式，來撫慰過往傷痛及探尋自我存在價值的特性，並參照意義治療學的理論，來研究七等生及其小說作品所呈現出來的生命意義。 本論文共分為六章，第一章是緒論，說明研究動機與所使用的研究方法，並回顧前人的研究概況。第二章介紹七等生的生平概述，藉以瞭解其成長經歷與造成生命悲苦的貧窮主因，並進一步探討生命中的重大失落。第三章續承生命中失落的傷痛，歸納七等生如何利用小說作品來救贖親人的失落。藉由重擁父親的愛來重新認同自我，利用承擔責任來揮別失去長兄的悲歌，透過祝福來彌補無法實現的諾言。能撫平親人失落的傷痛，對七等生追求生命安適有著重大的意義。第四章以〈我愛黑眼珠〉為例，探討七等生的存在哲學。從主角的人格特質與大洪水的象徵意義，來說明存在著超越倫常結構的良善，而當純粹良善與道德有所衝突時，正是態度價值的高度展現。第五章說明七等生確實在長久的書寫歷程中，藉由不斷的澄清存在價值，而逐步的完成了自我，尋得了生命意義，其生命意義表現在追求生命的安適與內在自我的自由。並進一步歸納其小說中不同類型主角所呈現出的生命意義為何，提出落實其具體價值的方法。第六章結論，總結七等生探尋自我生命意義的歷程，說明他對生命格調的追求，以及對自我責任的承擔都是足以類化的智慧，而決定停筆轉向其他藝術形式表現，不僅仍是一種美的追求，更是七等生以新的角度來擁抱這個社會。[[abstract]] Chi-teng Sheng, who is one of the most important novelists in Taiwan, had published about one hundred and thirty novels and three corpuses in his thirty-five year pursuit of literature creation. Strong self-observation and the style swinging between reality and ideal had ripened into his unique writing character. This study, by referring to logotherapy, aimed to reveal the life meaning concealed from Chi-teng Sheng himself and his works, that as his way to soothe his sorrow from the past and quest for the value of self-existence. This study divides into six sections. The introduction points out the background and method of the study, then review other previous studies to Chi-teng Sheng's fiction. The second chapter presents Chi-teng Sheng's brief biography, which brings in his life experience and why poverty leads his life into tragedy. In addition, this section explores these big losses in his life journey. The following chapter goes further to discuss how Chi-teng Sheng had used his fiction as the salvation for the grief after the loss of his family members. By embracing his father's love, he retrieved his self-identity again; by taking responsibility for the family, he waved farewell to his brother's death; through blessing, he atoned for his broken promises. Being able to soothe the sorrow from the loss of his family members may be of crucial meaning for Chi-teng Sheng in seeking for his own inner peace in life. The forth chapter takes〈I love black eyes〉as an example to discuss Chi-teng Sheng's existentialism. From the leading role's character and the symbolization of cataract to describe that there is a kind of pure good over morality. It is only when the kind of pure good and morality conflict, the attitudinal value stands out. The fifth chapter addresses that Chi-teng Sheng not only gradually achieved self-completion by clarified existence values constantly in his decades-long writing career, but found his life meaning lying in inner peace and the freedom from ego. In addition, by generalizing the various life meanings those variant leading roles represent, this study recommends means to practice those concrete values. In the end, this study concludes that Chi-teng Sheng's inquest of attitude and altitude in life, the acceptance of personal responsibility were all generalized into his wisdom. Moreover, when he cast his quill aside and devoted himself in other forms of art, it was not only still a crusade for beauty, but Chi-teng Sheng's new angle to embrace the society
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. 本研究偵測風力發電機的軸承以及齒輪箱振動訊號，以進行故障診斷，並藉由實驗數據建立頻譜與故障情況之間的關係。
實驗操作上將建立齒輪軸承轉子實驗平台，用以模擬出三種齒輪故障訊號，包括齒輪不平衡、齒輪斷齒以及軸不平行等，並將時域訊號作快速傅立葉轉換取得頻譜訊號，再從中擷取頻譜特徵作為診斷依據。
擷取特徵數據後便透過K平均法以及貝氏網路別分進行分析。分析結果顯示，採用貝氏網路分析時，有著明顯優於K平均法的準確率，且貝氏網路的平均準確率高達90%以上。Abstract
This paper studies on monitoring vibrational signal of bearing and gearbox in wind turbine to diagnose its condition, and build up the relationship between fault and spectrum by using experimental data.
To simulate three kinds of failure conditions of gears, including imbalance gear, tooth breakage and unparallel shaft, the gear-rotor system is built up for the gear fault experiment. Fast Fourier Transform will transform time domain signal into spectrum which is frequency domain signal, and extract features of spectrum as the basis of diagnosis.
After features extraction, K-means algorithm and Bayesian Network are used to analyze features of spectrum. It is shown that Bayesian Network has higher precision as compared with K-means algorithm, and the average precision of Bayesian Network is up to 90 percent and above

No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
