    Cultural Memory of Cheng Nan-Jung and Media Construction

    本研究透過行動者建構鄭南榕文化記憶的過程,探討不同的時空背景與文化、政治因素中,如何詮釋鄭南榕的文化記憶,行動者分為經歷鄭南榕殉道事件的「舊世代」與未經歷事件的「新世代」。 以Fairclough的批判論述分析為研究方法,檢視舊世代透過何種社會實踐將鄭南榕建構為「民主鬥士」,再透過溝通記憶將建構之文化記憶轉移至新世代,而新世代又如何從舊世代所框架的文化脈絡中延續記憶並加入新世代的詮釋,傳承鄭南榕文化記憶之建構。 研究結果顯示,以實務觀點來看,本研究透過檢視行動者建構鄭南榕文化記憶的過程,可看出舊時代行動者已成功將鄭南榕塑造為「為台灣獨立而死」的「民主鬥士」,從2012年反媒體壟斷、2013年以南榕廣場爭議事件和2014年的太陽花學運,已不見新世代對於鄭南榕自焚原因的爭論,鄭南榕本身成為符號,被新世代行動者用以象徵「追求言論自由」的「民主先驅」。新世代行動者加入時代脈絡中的政治因素,包含世代的國族認同與外部的中國因素,省略強調「獨立」,以「為台灣而死」稱鄭南榕,也將台灣的民主的前進、打破省籍對立的意識形態及走入政黨輪替的民主政治歸功於鄭南榕殉難後埋下的種子,新世代行動者自詡為繼承者,以「接下來就是我們的事了」宣示效法鄭南榕為公平正義而發起的社會改革,並且延續捍衛台灣自由民主之精神。The study mainly aims to explore ‘actors‘ to understand Cheng Nan-Jung’s process of cultural memory building, and to examine his cultural memory with respect to different time periods in Taiwanese culture and politics. The actors are divided into two groups: the ‘old generation’ who have witnessed Cheng Nan-Jung’s martyrdom first hand and noted his great contribution to Taiwan’s history and democratic ideals, and the ‘new generation’ who remain unaware of the events that took place during that era. The research method of this theis is critical discourse analysis developed by Fairclough. In order to continue building upon Cheng Nan-Jung’s cultural memory we must look to the social practices of the older generation, whom regarded Cheng Nan-Jung as a hero who fought for democracy. Furthermore, these cultural memory must also be passed down to the current generation in order to keep Cheng Nan-Jung’s legacy alive. The new generation must then merge the cultural contexts of past and present and distill them into a contemporary narrative for today''s generation. The results reveal that the old generation actors successfully construct Cheng Nan-jung as a democracy pioneer who die for Taiwan independence. from 2012 anti-media monopoly movement, 2013 Nan-jung square controversy, 2014 sunflower movement, it shows that because of national identity and the China factor. Cheng Nan-jung became a symbol of democracy for new generation actors

    An approach to Cheng-nan Lian-ju of Han Yu and Meng Jiao

    The tradition of linked verse in China was revived by the Da-li 大曆 poets and got popular among Mid-Tang 中唐 Literati, of whom two groups were most notable. One was led by Bai Ju-yi 白居易 and Liu Yu-xi 劉禹錫, whose linked verse grew out of their friendship. The other was led by Han Yu and Meng Jiao. They competed each other in their poetic art and experimented with new expressions. In this article I offer a close reading of the first part of their representative work "Cheng-nan Lian-ju". They deal with fresh subject matters, and their description is unique in their determined avoidance of stale poetic diction. This new poetic style directly influenced Li He 李賀, especially in Chang-gu shi 昌谷詩. However, the two pieces are quite different. For example, while "Cheng-nan Lian-ju", though very concrete in its description, is not about any real place, in Chang-gu shi, Li He when evidently writing about the scenery of Chang-gu, his home country, created an imaginary world out of a real place

    為明瞭有色(紅、藍色)塑嘐布保溫育苗對水稻秧苗生育之影響,自民國67 年至69 年,連續三年,每年第一期作在本分所進行觀察試驗,所得結果摘錄如下: 一、不同塑嘐布覆蓋下每日氣溫之變化:有色塑嘐布覆蓋區之每日最高、最低氣溫,較露天無塑膠布覆蓋區高出12 • 66~14.08 ' C 與3.1~3.2℃,而較白色塑膠布覆蓋區高出1.04~2.46℃與0.59~0.69℃。顯示有色塑膠布似有較佳之吸熱與保溫效果。 二、不同塑膠布保溫育苗對秧苗生育之影響:播種後20 日時,有色塑膠布育苗區之苗高、綠葉數與苗乾物重等,均高於露天無塑膠布育苗區,且又較白色塑膠布育苗區分別高出7.96~9.11%、0.75~4.51%與13.0~21.96%。而30 日苗時,有色塑膠布育苗區之苗高雖仍持續增加,但其綠葉數反低於露天無塑膠布育苗區達3.82~6.65%,苗乾物重在有色塑膠布育苗區與露天無塑膠布育苗區間之差距,由20 日苗時之4.46~5.28 mg 高達75.9~89.8%,減低為1.47~3.0 mg 僅11.04~22.54%。顯示有色塑膠布育苗區之秧苗初期生長迅速,而後期已呈徒長現象。 三、不同塑膠布保溫育苗對稻谷產量與成熟期主要農藝性狀之影響:由處理間之產量平均指數102.91-100.05-99.21-100.0,可看出有色塑膠布育苗區似具有較佳之增產效果。至於成熟期之主要農藝性狀,有色塑膠布育苗區之生育日數較露天無塑膠布育苗區長4.0~4.6天,而穗數則較白色塑膠布育苗區與露天無塑膠布育苗區多1.9~2.5%。 As Taiwan situated on subtropic region, cold-fronts usually invaded the island from December to February each year which corresponed to sowing time of the first crop. In order to protect the young seedling of rice from cold injury, therefore, the method of vinyl film mulching was populary adopted by the rice farmers on this island. The purpose of this experiment was find out the effect of mulching with coloured plastic film on the growth of seedling. Preliminary results indicated that coloured plastic films had better effect of absorption and preservation of solar energy than the white one, therefore, the mulching with coloured plastic film would favor the growth and development of rice seedling under the environment of low temperature. However, because the mulching period was over 20 days, the seedling height increased with seedling age, but dry matter of the seedling did not increase with the same rate. As a result, it caused abnormal elongation of seedling raised with colored plastic covers. Although the variance analysis of grain yield did not reach a significant difference level among these treatments, it was quite obvious from the table 6 that the treatment of plastic cover showed high grain yield over the control or without cover, and the mulching with coloured plastic film further increased the grain yield over the white plastic covers. Vinyl film mulching caused the increase of grain yield that appeared to be contributed by the increase of number of panicles per plant. From the above-mentioned results, it might be inferred that covering the seed bed with coloured plastic films especially the red colored instead of the traditional white one brought about the efficient use of solar energy, hence strong and heathly seedlings

    在水稻生育初期適度中斷氮肥(Nitrogen starvation) 一、二週,似有抑制基部第一、二節間之徒長,增加對倒伏之抵抗性,且以第二期作高溫環境下之處理效果尤為顯著。但由於初期氮肥之中斷亦相對地引起分蘗能力減弱,穗數減少,致使稻穀產量未能達到慣行施肥法標準,而抵消了抗倒伏效果。故如何有效地防阻水稻植株倒伏,而又能增加或維持一定的單位面積產量,實有待更進一步的探討研究。 In order to meet mechanical harvest of rice, lodging-resistance is one of the most important agronomic traits. How to prevent plant-lodging of rice” is an important problem for rice culture at present. This experiment was conducted at Chiayi Agricultural Experiment Station in both 1st. and 2nd crops of 1975 to investigate the effect of nitrogen starvation during the early growing stages on lodging-resistance and other agronomic traits of rice. Preliminary results indicated that nitrogen starvation for 1 to 2 weeks during the early growing stages could inhibit the elongation of the basal internode and prevented plant-lodging, which was more pronounced under the conditions of high temperature in the second crop. The percentage of lodging at the ripening stages was negatively associated with the duration of nitrogen starvation. Thus, the longer the duration of nitrogen starvation, the lower the percent of lodging. Nitrogen starvation for 1 to 2 weeks during the early growing stages had no significant effect on grain yield; traditional applicatioa method T1 showed the highest grain yield, followed by treatments T2, T3, and T4. Nitrogen starvation during the early growing stages caused the decrease of grain yield that appeared to be due to the decrease in either number of panicles per plant or number of spikelets per panicle

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    The strong Rabin number of a network W of connectivity k is the minimum l so that for any k +1 nodes s, d1, d2, . . . , dk of W, there exist k node-disjoint paths from s to d1, d2, . . . , dk, respectively, whose maximal length is not greater than l, where s /â {d1, d2, . . . , dk} and d1, d2, . . . , dk are not necessarily distinct. In this paper, we show that the strong Rabin number of a k-dimensional folded hypercube is k/2 + 1, where k/2 is the diameter of the k-dimensional folded hypercube.
