Strength properties of oriented strand board from ludai species at 7% resin content with different density / Che Adnan Che Mat
Oriented strand board (OSB) is the one of many types of product based on wood. It is the new product that introduce in Malaysia. The researches that have been done with used Luau (Sapium baccatum) species as a raw material, shows the validity result. The test of bending, thickness swelling, and water absorption, were achieved the results over the standard. The result that are got said with using the different density influences the properties of OSB in the OSB manufacturing. Higher density with the valid with resin can produce the good quality of OSB

Kaedah hafazan al-Quran merupakan amalan yang dilakukan oleh para penghafaz al-Quran untuk menguasai hafazan al-Quran yang lengkap, iaitu 30 juzuk. Pelbagai kaedah yang digunakan oleh pelajar untuk dipelajari sendiri mahupun apabila disampaikan oleh guru. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti tahap amalan kaedah hafazan al-Quran dalam kalangan pelajar IMTIAZ (Sekolah Menengah IMTIAZ). Instrumen kajian ini adalah soal selidik yang dibangunkan oleh penyelidik mengikut konstruk yang dirujuk berdasarkan kaedah hafazan al-Ghawthāni (1998). Kajian ini mendapati bahawa tahap amalan kaedah hafazan dalam kalangan responden secara umumnya adalah tinggi, namun ada sebahagian kaedah yang mendapat maklum balas yang rendah dan memerlukan perhatian

Opiate addiction is a chronically relapsing disorder that is characterized by compulsive drug-seeking
behavior without the ability to limit their intake (De Vries and Shippenberg, 2002). Humans have used opiate
drugs such as morphine and heroin for thousands of years to lessen their pain and produce euphoria. These drugs,
originally derived from the juice of the opium poppy, have many benefits -- but they also produce adverse side
effects like addiction. It becomes a major problem in our society where many of the complex diseases are
associated with the opiate addiction, for example human immunodeficiency virus infection, hepatitis B and C
infection, depressive and anxiety disorders and other psychiatric illnesses (Kreek, 1996)
Intelectual capital Islamic work ethics and the performance of Bumiputera small and medium enterprises (SMES) experts views / Sakinah Mat Zin ...[et al.]
Despite numerous efforts initiated by Malaysian government, Bumiputera entrepreneurs are still
considered as incapable to compete with other groups in realizing business success. This study seeks to examine
the intellectual capital (IC) and Islamic work ethics (IWE) that contribute to higher performance of SMEs among
Bumiputera in Malaysia. In doing so, the measurement instruments are developed based on previous literature
reviews and refined by expert validation. Informal interviews were held individually with 13 experts with the aims
of gaining relevant and insightful information for IC, IWE and business performance cohesion. From a pilot study
of 49 Bumiputera SME entrepreneurs, the findings indicate that intellectual capital components and Islamic work
ethics are vital for performance management practices in the firm. Contribution/ Originality: Theoretically, this
study generalizes intellectual capital and Islamic work ethics in SME setting and is a preliminary impetus for
exploring Bumiputera intellectual capital, Islamic work ethics and business performance. Practically, it provides
valuable references for entrepreneurs, giving a prioritized array of crucial resources that allows Bumiputera SMEs
to sustain the competitive advantage

Publication productivity of Malaysian researchers in the field of Computer Science and Information Technology
Searches made in the CD-ROM databases, COMPENDEX (1987-1999), IEL (IEE/IEEE Electronic Library) (1988-1999) and INSPEC (1990-1998) revealed a total of 389 publications contributed by Malaysian researchers in the field of computer science and information technology. The trend in output indicates rapid growth that is expected to continue in future. A total of 458 unique Malaysian authors contributed to the 389 publications. Collaboration between two authors was the dominant authorship pattern. Single-authored or more than 3-authored works were rare. The active authors were affiliated to a few institutions, with the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Universiti Sains Malaysia and Universiti Malaya accounting for the highest number of publications, either in the form of journalarticles or papers in conference proceedings. The most active research areas include simulation system, control engineering, computer-assisted instruction, programming techniques, expert systems, asynchronous transfer mode, image processing, software engineering and digital signal processing and applications

The corrosion effect to metal structure influenced by microbial at oil and gas plant
Corrosion is the destructive attack of metal on its surroundings by chemical or electrochemical
reactions. There are four common types of corrosion problems occurred on the pipelines of oil
and gas plants. Those are (i) sour corrosion, (ii) oxygen corrosion, (iii) stress corrosion cracking
and (iv) microbiologically induced corrosion. In order to keep the metal structures of oil and gas
plants resistant to corrosion, carbon steels are undeniably the best materials to use for pipelines.
As for microbiologically induced corrosion, there are two types of it, (i) Sulphate-Reducing
Bacterium and (ii) Sulphur-Oxidizing Bacterium. There will be negative consequences to the oil
pipelines affected by microbiologically induced corrosion and will be explained vigorously on the
next page. Electrochemical, physical and chemical techniques are those different treatments that
can be used to dwindle the corrosion from the metal structures of pipelines in oil and gas plants.
The solution to identify corrosion caused by microbial is by using electrochemical techniques. By
using this technique, the potential mechanism of microbially influenced corrosion of steel by
marine bacterium Vibrio natriegens. Cathodic protection using sacrificial anodes is practical and
globally applied to prevent corrosion, while electrochemical techniques can determine the
mechanism of MIC. Through the methods, the objective of this study has been achieved
