Tylophora lui (Apocynaceae), a new species from Taiwan
Tylophora lui Y.H. Tseng & C.T. Chao, a new species of Apocynaceae from southern Taiwan, is described and illustrated. It resembles T. ovata in the shape and size of the leaves and flowers, but differs by the indumentum of stems, the number of flowers, and by the glabrous and slender inflorescences. An identification key to the Taiwanese Tylophora species is provided

Parerigone huangshanensis (Chao & Sun) Parerigonesis huangshanensis Chao & Sun in Chao et al., 1990: 238. Holotype male (IZCAS). Type locality: China, Anhui, Huangshan (30.0°N 118.1 °E).— Chao et al., 1998: 2170 (China). Parerigone huangshanensis (Chao & Sun)—Tschorsnig & Richter, 1998: 758 (key).— O’Hara et al., 2009: 132 (Chinese catalogue). Diagnosis. Medium-sized black flies with dense grayish yellow or grayish white pruinosity. Vertex 0.12–0.13 of head width; gena 0.35–0.36 of eye height, covered with black hairs; parafacial slightly more than 1 st flagellomere width at mid-height, the latter 2.8–3 times as long as pedicel; pedicel with short black hairs; palpus reddish yellow; occiput with a row of black setulae behind of postocellar setae. Anatergite with fine hairs; thorax with black hairs; scutellum with 3 pairs of marginal setae; basicosta dark brown or black; legs black; mid tibia with 2 anterodorsal setae and without ventral seta; hind tibia with 2 preapical dorsal setae. Abdomen with black hairs, covered with yellowish or grayish pruinosity; syntergite 1 + 2 with 4 median marginal setae, median two weak; 3 rd and 4 th tergites with 2 pairs of median discal setae. Type material examined. Holotype male, CHINA: Huangshan (30.0°N 118.1 °E), Anhui, 3.vi. 1987, X.K. Sun. Paratype. 1 female, same locality as holotype, 2.vi. 1987, X.K. Sun (IZCAS). Pectin - Xyloglucan linkages in type I primary cell walls of plants
Evidence for covalent pectin - xyloglucan linkages in the cell wall of growing cells and maturing tissues has been reported. In-vitro studies using isolated Golgi membranes, and pulse-labelling studies in vivo, indicate that pectin - xyloglucan linkages form in the Golgi apparatus. The study determined Chlamydia trachomatis (C.t.) genotype E as predominant, in the biological products of Lisbon citizens infected by C.t.. The author developed an experimental model of chronic infection, using mice of different haplotypes, inoculated (once or more) in the uterus (through the vagina) with one E C.t. strain. C.t. was isolated, by culture, after the first inoculation, but C.t. DNA was detected during the six months period of experiments; C.t. remained in tubal tissues in a nonviable biological state. The humoral immune response of infected animals indicated a chronic C.t. infection. The evaluation of the genetic expression of different cytokines produced by Th1 or Th2 cells, couldn't determine a profile specifically related with the chronic C.t. infection; however, the IFN_#gamma# production by illiac node cells, only occured during the acute infection. The production of isotype IgG2a or IgG1 showed a Th1 profile in C3H/He mice and a Th2 profile in C57BL/6 mice. C3H/He mice produced antibodies to the C.t HSP60 (CHSP60) during both acute and chronic C.t. infection; C57BL/6 mice only reacted to CHSP60 when submitted to several C.t. infection episodes. Mice carrying a chronic C.t. infection didn't exhibit any histological changes suggesting episodes. Design and fabrication of flexible piezo-microgenerator with broadband width
In this study the relationship between the dynamic response of the flexible substrate and the power generation for energy harvesting system is proposed. High electro-mechanical transformation of piezoelectric materials, high efficient energy transfer of mechanical structure and controlled circuit make the piezoelectric generator a high performance. The devices of cantilevers with lump structures on the flexible substrate and piezoelectric film (ZnO) are designed. Then some individual layers of power generator are stocked in parallel to form a multi-layer system with a broad resonant band width. When the generator is operated in a wide frequency range vibration environment, the multi-layer piezoelectric films in the form of cantilever structures can induce current. First the finite element method for the piezoelectric cantilever beam is constructed by using ANSYS software. Both modal analysis and harmonic response analysis are performed to obtain the structural modal parameters and frequency response functions, respectively. Besides, the beam structure is modeled by 3D coupled field piezoelectric element. This research will apply Taguchi\ue2s method to design including variations of dimensions and material properties for energy harvesting system. The flexible substrate is polymeric film (PET). Imprinting process is applied to transfer the simulated geometric configuration onto a flexible substrate to obtain a maximum power output. The results show the single devices can improve efficiently by using lump structures on the flexible substrate, the generator could achieve maximum OCV of 2.25V which is 0.276\uce\ubcW every centimeter squared when attached to a stable source of vibration. The multi-layer system can be used in 50~500Hz of low frequency environment. Furthermore, the output voltage (OCV) is upward when the flexible substrate with low Young\ue2s modulus
