No full textThe book brings together studies and testimonies about the LGBTQI+ universe in the theatre that has been produced, in the 20th and 21st centuries, in Spanish, Catalan and Brazilian Portuguese. The volume puts theatrical production in dialogue or confrontation with some of the theoretical referents of gender and sexuality studies.El presente libro reúne estudios y testimonios sobre el universo LGBTQI+ en el teatro que se viene produciendo, en los siglos XX y XXI, en español, catalán y portugués brasileño. Con especial énfasis en las representaciones de gais, lesbianas y transgéneros en la dramaturgia, el volumen pone la producción teatral —desde autores canónicos, como Jacinto Benavente y Nelson Rodrigues, hasta voces disonantes y transgresoras, como Ave Terrena y Txus García— en diálogo o confrontación con algunos de los referentes teóricos de los estudios de género y sexualidad, como Michel Foucault, Judith Butler o Paul B. Preciado. Metodológicamente, la investigación que aquí se concreta explora los diferentes lugares de enunciación que el tema cobra, reuniendo, en un mismo volumen, a investigadoras e investigadores del mundo literario y teatral, pero también creadoras y creadores que relatan, en primera persona, los retos estéticos y éticos que derivan de su labor artística

The testimonial work is accompanied by six academic essays that focus on the investigation of queer Spanish theater.El presente volumen reúne algunos escritos originales e inéditos de dramaturgxs de la escena española actual; en concreto, lxs autorxs que han adherido al proyecto editorial son (en orden de presentación): Antonio Miguel Morales, Javier Liñera, Albert Tola y Laura Freijo Justo. Se trata de un conjunto de creadorxs que ha puesto la visibilización de las personas del colectivo LGBTQI+ al centro de su escritura teatral. La labor testimonial de estos textos autobiográficos viene acompañada por seis ensayos de carácter académico que se centran en la investigación de los diferentes matices que lo queer ha recibido en las tablas españolas al fin de contribuir, desde el ámbito crítico y literario, a una mayor concienciación sobre un corpus de obras teatrales valientes y comprometidas

No full textAunque la expresión de sexualidades e identidades de género no normativas es una constante a lo largo de la historia del teatro, su visibilidad como tema de investigación es un hito reciente en el campo de los estudios teatrales. Los heterogéneos centros y entornos de la producción teatral actual conforman una diáspora discursiva, histórica y geográficamente construida, cuya multiplicidad de representaciones merece ser revisada y analizada desde el punto de vista de identidades sexuales y de género habitualmente no contempladas en el canon. Dicho proceso cobra fuerza en el teatro contemporáneo y se hace patente en artefactos dramatúrgicos y escénicos que conforman un universo poético singular. Se trata de un teatro imprevisible en el que se ponen de manifiesto, por un lado, los engranajes que determinan la visibilidad o invisibilidad de colectivos marginados, conllevando una clara vertiente política: los cuerpos y discursos desempeñan un papel clave en el cuestionamiento de rasgos identitarios o en la deconstrucción de conceptos fijos en torno a la subjetividad, visibilizando lugares de resistencia y alteridades ajenas a la norma. Por otro lado, a un nivel estético, lo imprevisible reafirma el texto y la escena como lugares de experimentación metafórica sobre lo humano en sus más distintas acepciones y ejercicios del deseo

No full textEn el principio fue LGTB, que reunía a las personas con orientaciones sexuales e identidades de género que se reconocían en esas consonantes; luego se quiso hablar idiomas diferentes y emplear otras letras para identificarse en un mundo más fluido y líquido; empezaron a proliferar otros caracteres en mayúsculas (QIA) y símbolos alfanuméricos (@, ə, x, *). El resultado no fue el caos, sino el big bang creador de una multiplicidad que el lenguaje humano todavía no ha logrado encerrar en una uniformidad puramente formal. De ahí que, en las páginas que componen el volumen, se haya decidido respetar la naturaleza proteiforme que emerge de las diferentes subjetividades que han adherido al proyecto científico y testimonial que constituyen el volumen; por este motivo, se encontrarán diferentes grafías para referirse al colectivo LGBTQI+ y la macroetiqueta de queer tendrá un matiz heterogéneo, según la sensibilidad de cada colaborador/a/x

Full text linkThis book presents 12 papers about the influences of the classical tradition (Greco‐Roman and Judeo‐Christian mythologies, Greek and Renaissance philosophy, classical theatre, etc.) in Spanish modern and contemporary cultural production, with special focus on literature, popular culture and cinema. Within the wide range of proposed studies, the monograph is divided into three thematic sections. The first unit investigates the subjec ‐ tive poetics in authors who are focused on the theme of exile and on the The Odyssey’ s imaginary. After that, the book focuses on the presence of female mythological matrices in the recent Hispanic literature. The last section is devoted to theoretical studies on relations between mythologisation and fictionality in the cultural artifacts of the Hispanic world.El presente libro reúne 12 trabajos sobre los influjos de la tradición clásica (las mitologías grecolatina y judío‐ cristiana, la filosofía griega y renacentista, el teatro clásico, etc.) en la producción cultural hispánica moderna y contemporánea, con especial enfoque en la literatura, la cultura popular y el cine. Dentro del amplio abanico de estudios propuestos, el monográfico se reparte en tres secciones temáticas. En la primera, se investigan las poéticas subjetivas en autores y autoras que se vuelcan sobre el tema del exilio y el imaginario odiseico. En la parte central, el libro enfoca la presencia de matrices mitológicas femeninas en la literatura hispánica reciente. La última sección está dedicada a estudios de cariz teórico sobre las relaciones entre mitologización y ficcionalidad en los artefactos culturales del mundo hispánico
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
Full text linkWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
