Specification languages and ASP-based solutions for scheduling problems in Healthcare
In the Digital Health domain, there are many scheduling problems that are important to solve to improve the quality of the medical cares offered and patients’ satisfaction. Following this need, we want to contribute to the resolution of these problems. Especially, in recent years, the AI language Answer Set Programming (ASP) has been successfully applied in scheduling problems such as the ones we want to solve, proving to be an efficient solution. However, despite the success of ASP, solutions of this type are not easy to implement and to be accepted by people without a background in logic programming, making it difficult to use and deploy in real-world contexts. Hence, the aim is also to define a specification language, i.e. a controlled natural language (CNL), and to develop a tool called CNL2ASP that allows to convert such language into AI languages and, in particular, into ASP as first target language

Basal heat improves adventitious root quality in Plumeria (Plumeria rubra L.) stem cuttings of different sizes
Root development of hardwood cuttings of Plumeria rubra was investigated in relation to basal heat and the size of cuttings. Terminal cuttings of a clone grown in Sicily were trimmed to various lengths, ranging from 10 to 26 cm. To verify the cutting rooting response to basal heat, half of the cuttings were placed on a basal heated bench (28 ± 3°C, constant temperature) while the remaining were placed on an unheated bench (16-18°C during the night and 20-22°C during the day). Percent rooting and cutting survival were not affected by basal heat and cutting length. However, basal heat positively affected number of roots, length of longest root and bud growth. Increases in the length of the cutting resulted in a parallel increase in adventitious root formation. Medium (16-20 cm) and long (22-26 cm) length cuttings exposed to basal heat exhibited the best development in terms of number of roots, root length and bud growth

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
