Med : la comunidad virtual al servicio de la ayuda humanitaria : solución estratégica para Médecins Sans Frontières en Latinoamérica

la poca postulación voluntaria, la dificultad para encontrar perfiles específicos y la baja retención de
los trabajadores. Por estos motivos, el objetivo del presente trabajo es utilizar metodologías de
diseño estratégico para mejorar la experiencia de los usuarios y así incentivar a la postulación y
retención de los “médicos sin fronteras''.
Debido al enfoque antropológico del trabajo, la fuente principal de información fue obtenida a través
de entrevistas realizadas a miembros de la institución y a profesionales de la salud de Latinoamérica.
De esta forma, se han detectado los puntos de dolor más relevantes y así se han establecido los
objetivos del trabajo final de grado. Estos son, principalmente, aliviar el estrés y la incertidumbre de
los trabajadores. Luego, hacer uso del valor de la comunidad, lograr que la solución sea diseñada de
forma integral, además de que pueda ser personalizada y logre ser accesible en todo momento, sin
importar el lugar o las condiciones de vida. Con estos hallazgos, se ha dado lugar al diseño del
sistema solución.
Así surge Med, una comunidad virtual al servicio de la ayuda humanitaria, que acompaña a los
“médicos sin fronteras” durante toda la experiencia con la organización. Esta aplicación se desarrolló
con el objetivo de aliviar el estrés y la incertidumbre de los usuarios, desde el momento en el que
comienzan el proceso de postulación hasta que vuelven al país de origen

Departamento de Humanidades; Argentina.La ayuda humanitaria es, sin lugar a dudas, una forma de solidaridad efectiva que acompañó a la sociedad para combatir la desigualdad, que día a día sucede en nuestro planeta. Es por eso, que junto a Médicos Sin Fronteras, nos planteamos el desafío de diseñar cómo sería el futuro de la ayuda humanitaria dado que, la pandemia del año 2020, aceleró de manera inimaginable una serie de cambios sociales.
A través de investigación, desk research, encuestas, entrevistas y benchmarking, pudimos indagar algunas de las razones por las cuales la gente no tiene interés en donar y no tiene los recursos necesarios para facilitar ese proceso. Así mismo, pudimos detectar que la juventud, en especial aquellos jóvenes entre 20 y 30 años, puede cumplir un rol primordial para la ayuda humanitaria en esta nueva normalidad.
El proyecto “Jóvenes Colaboradores” tiene como objetivo integrar al público joven a través de una aplicación móvil para mejorar la experiencia de donar, recibir beneficios en ámbito cultural y fomentar la participación y las acciones solidarias conjuntas
Open Mapping of Biomateria Initiatives in Latin America. A Systemic Approach

The mapping process, which has thus far cataloged approximately 250 entries from 11 countries, aims to provide an analytical framework to document, contextualise, and enhance the visibility of biomaterial development in the region. Given the increasing relevance of sustainable materials in contemporary design, environmental science, and industrial applications, this research seeks to foster collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and policy development. this paper discusses the rationale for the mapping initiative, the methodological approach, preliminary findings, and future directions for the project, offering critical insights into the dynamic interplay between biomaterial innovation and socio-environmental conditions in Latin America
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. Involucrando a la juventud en Médicos Sin Fronteras : programas de incentivos

actualmente con más de seis millones trescientos mil asociados a nivel global. Los socios
actualmente realizan aportes de dinero mensuales para que comunidades en peligro reciban ayuda.
El 96% de estos son personas mayores a treinta años y el restante 4% tienen entre diecinueve y
veintinueve años de edad. La escasa presencia de jóvenes involucrándose en la organización genera
preocupación, ya que se está perdiendo la oportunidad de recibir aportes de dinero de un público
extenso e ideas innovadoras que pueden ampliar las formas actuales de ayudar.
Encuestas llevadas a cabo durante el desarrollo del presente trabajo han demostrado que las nuevas
generaciones entienden la importancia de las causas humanitarias y empatizan con las mismas1. Sin
embargo, hoy en día no eligen a Médicos Sin Fronteras como medio para contribuir con ellas. Este
trabajo plantea una extensión del portafolio actual de la organización con acciones renovadas e
innovadoras que incentivan la participación del segmento joven tanto de manera colaborativa como
de forma activa aprovechando su potencial creativo, sus redes de contacto y su entusiasmo por vivir
nuevas experiencias.
Las modificaciones del portafolio se plantean dentro del modelo de comunicación organizacional y el
modelo de ingresos. Dentro del primero se plantean mejoras en la trazabilidad, los métodos de
captación y se introducen tres nuevos programas de incentivos. Estos programas serán el eje central
de este trabajo. Dentro del modelo de ingresos se propone una redefinición de los montos mínimos
y los medios de pago involucrados donaciones mediante el sitio web de Médicos Sin Fronteras
