No full textIl volume, pubblicato in occasione della mostra presso Palazzo Pretorio di Cittadella (14 aprile–15 luglio 2018), cataloga con ricchezza di illustrazioni l’intera produzione su pellicola di Sirio Luginbühl (Verona, 1937–Padova, 2014). Si tratta di una ricerca sull’immagine in movimento di altissimo interesse, che viene qui ricostruita grazie allo studio minuzioso condotto a partire dall’archivio personale del film-maker. Si intende così contribuire alla conoscenza del patrimonio di idee, invenzioni e testimonianze tramandatoci dal cinema sperimentale, che ha conosciuto la sua grande stagione tra gli anni Sessanta e Settanta del Novecento ma che, stretto tra film d’artista e videoarte, non ha ancora ricevuto l’attenzione che merita.

No full textAt great depths, on the seabed of the Mediterranean Sea, there is an immense submerged archaeological heritage to be
discovered, studied and protected. Protected from the waters for over 2000 years, today it risks being destroyed forever
by the impact of trawling. Extensive fishing damage is often documented by sonar and multi-beam side-scan investigations
and, today, new instruments as ROV allow very deep investigations on numerous shipwrecks. The depth at which they are
located does not guarantee their protection. In fact, almost all the wrecks explored have a common trait: they are at risk
of disappearing due to the serious damage caused by the passage of trawling nets. In the central-northern part of the
Tyrrhenian Sea and the Ligurian Sea, there are over 40 deep wrecks identified, since 2002, by Guido Gay of the Fondazione
Azionemare and thanks to its discovery, the Capitaneria di Porto of La Spezia in Liguria and PortoTorres in Sardegna,
were able to create some forbidden area to the trawling boat 0,6 miles around the site. A satellite surveillance system in
the Coast Guard control room ensures that the rules are enforced. For the first time in Italy an effective system for the
protection of the submerged archaeological heritage has been created, an example of what should be done for all reported
wrecks. However, there are still many wrecks at the mercy of fishing activities that risk being destroyed

No full textResumen: En este artículo se presentan las acciones realizadas dentro del Proyecto Alfa Nro. DCl-ALA 2008/42: Aseguramiento de la calidad: políticas públicas y gestión universitaria financiado con fondos de la Unión Europea y coordinado, de manera general, por el Centro Interuniversitario de Desarrollo, CINDA. Participan 16 universidades latinoamericanas y 7 universidades europeas, y el objetivo general del proyecto es mejorar la gestión de la calidad de la Educación Superior, tanto a nivel de los sistemas nacionales como de las instituciones de Educación Superior, y contribuir con la generación de conocimiento y confianzas mutuas acerca de la calidad de la Educación Superior entre los países latinoamericanos y europeos. Como parte de las actividades desarrolladas se llevaron a cabo estudios en 7 países (5 de Latinoamérica y 2 de Europa) para evaluar el impacto de los procesos de aseguramiento de la calidad implementados en las universidades. En Costa Rica, el proyecto ha sido coordinado y ejecutado por la Universidad de Costa Rica desde el año 2009 hasta la fecha. El estudio se realizó en dos universidades estatales y dos privadas, durante el período comprendido entre octubre de 2010 y mayo de 2011, se realizaron 26 entrevistas presenciales y 8 sesiones de grupo a las diferentes poblaciones definidas en el estudio, además, se realizaron un total de 652 encuestas a estudiantes activos y a personas egresadas. Los principales resultados obtenidos en Costa Rica se resumen en este artículo, de acuerdo con los niveles y dimensiones de calidad que fueron definidos en el marco referencial del proyecto.Abstract: The article presents actions carried out in Costa Rica, in the frame of the project Alfa Nro. This project is funded by the European Commission and its general coordination is in charge of the Inter-university Center for Development (CINDA), in Chile. The Costa-Rican component has been coordinated and carried out by the Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR) since 2009. Sixteen Latin-American and seven European universities are participating in this project. Its general objective is to improve the quality management of higher education both on the national level, and on the individual level of each institution, as well as to generate acquaintances and mutual trust among Latin-American and European countries regarding the quality of their higher education. As a part of the activities of the project, 7 studies were made in 5 Latin-American and 2 European countries to evaluate the impact of the quality assurance processes that have been implemented in their universities. In Costa Rica, the study considered two state universities and two private ones. María Carranza es médica y antropóloga, coordina la investigación y enseñanza en el Instituto Costarricense de Investigación y Enseñanza en Salud y Nutrición (INCIENSA) y es investigadora en el Centro Centroamericano de Población (CCP) de la Universidad de Costa Rica. Ha estudiado el uso generalizado de la operación cesárea en Brasil, los determinantes de la mortalidad materna en Costa Rica, y el uso generalizado por parte de médicos y mujeres de la esterilización femenina en Costa Rica. Actualmente está reconstruyendo la introducción de la planificación familiar en el país.1-4

No full textEl presente artículo analiza el surgimiento de la acreditación de carreras y de programas en Costa Rica en el marco de una redefinición del sistema educativo superior dentro de la coexistencia de dos estilos de desarrollo. Se contextualiza a qué responde el surgimiento de la acreditación en Costa Rica., cuál es su vinculación con las nuevas tendencias en el estilo de desarrollo nacional pos ajuste y cuál es su función en la configuración del sistema de educación superior costarricense. Según la autora, la acreditación responde directamente a la lógica de un Estado que delega, en otras instancias, su rol ejecutor e interventor directo, mientras que las fuerzas del mercado se fortalecen y definen aspectos importantes de la organización y oferta del sistema de educación superior. This article analyzes the arising of accreditation of careers and programs in Costa Rica on the frame of the Higher education system re-definition, and in a context where two development styles coexist. It is contextualize what does the arise of accreditation in Costa Rica respond to, which is its link to the tendencies of national development style, and which is its function in the configuration of the Costa Rican higher education system. According to the author, the accreditation responds directly to the logic of a State that delegates its roll as executive and direct supervisory body to other institutions while the national forces strengthen, and define important aspects of the organization and supply of the higher education system
