No full textThis book has been written in order to fulfil a great need for book on Virtual Reality (VR) in EFL reading classroom. The necessity motivated the author to write such kind of book which is assumed to be required as a reference book for the teachers or anyone who wants to implement VR as learning media in reading class. Designed in four essential sections; pre-video reading activities, whilst-reading activities, glossary, and questions about the given video story, this textbook allows the students to explore and sharpen their reading skill through the innovation of VR technology. The materials of this book utilized YouTube as the online video source which can be accessed easily by anyone. All ten reading materials were aimed to liven up the reading class atmosphere and also stimulate the students’ critical thinking through attractive way using audio-visual stimuli. The book entitled “VIDEO STORY READING” is intended to give several references of video story with the following of related vocabularies enrichment and analytical questions. This book is suitable for intermediate to advanced English learners such as the students who enroll in tertiary education. Vocabularies and questions which were written in the materials require higher level of comprehension to understand its meaning

No full textThis research aims to understand the impact of multicultural education on students' social attitudes in the digital era. The method used by the author in this research is Literature Review. With the stages of identifying, reviewing, and interpreting research. The Literature Review article uses publications from 2020-2024 which can be accessed via Google Scholar. Then a literature review is carried out to find related research. The research results show that students involved in multicultural education programs tend to show higher levels of empathy and better social skills, which are very necessary especially in today's era. Thus, this research recommends the importance of continuous training for educators and increased collaboration between schools, families, and communities to support the success of multicultural education. Through this joint effort, it is hoped that students can become agents of positive change, able to adapt and live side by side with various groups in an increasingly complex society
Pengaruh Isometric Handgrip Exercise terhadap Tekanan Darah pada Penderita Hipertensi di Padukuhan Papringan Catur Tunggal Depok Sleman Yogyakarta
No full textHypertension is one of the leading causes of death due to non-communicable diseases. Uncontrolled hypertension can lead to various complications, making effective management essential. One effective non-pharmacological intervention is the isometric handgrip exercise, which involves sustained muscle contractions without changing muscle length and has been shown to reduce systolic and diastolic blood pressure. This study aims to determine the effect of isometric handgrip exercise on blood pressure in individuals with hypertension. The study was conducted over five consecutive days from December 27 to 31 in Padukuhan Papringan, Caturtunggal, Depok, Sleman, Yogyakarta. A pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest method was used. A purposive sampling technique was employed, involving 33 hypertensive individuals aged 44–64 years. Data were collected using observation sheets and a standard operating procedure (SOP) guide for the isometric handgrip exercise, which participants followed independently at home. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed a significant difference in systolic blood pressure before and after the intervention (p = 0.000), but no significant difference in diastolic blood pressure (p = 0.580). These findings suggest that isometric handgrip exercise can be an effective method for reducing systolic blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Future research is recommended to ensure consistency in exercise using tools like the Muscle Strength Testing (MMST) and to implement controlled supervision during the intervention for optimal exercise accuracy
