No full textLa scoperta della prima fondazione monastica di Gioacchino da Fiore avvenuta durante le recenti indagini archeologiche nel sito di Jure Vetere, nelle vicinanze di S. Giovanni in Fiore (CS), costituisce la prima traccia materiale di una vicenda insediativa ed architettonica ricca ed articolata, in termini di strutture, spazi, consistenza patrimoniale, rapporti istituzionali – sia religiosi che civili – e relazioni umane. In questo contributo si vogliono seguire le tracce lasciate dalla documentazione scritta relativa all’insediamento monastico, fortunatamente consistente nel caso in questione, attraverso la lettura incrociata delle diverse categorie di fonti a disposizione, funzionale alla ricostruzione della fisionomia religiosa, storico-istituzionale ed economica dell’insediamento florense, dal protomonastero di Jure Vetere all’abbazia di S. No full textIl contributo offre un tentativo di lettura incrociata delle diverse categorie di fonti a disposizione, funzionale alla ricostruzione della fisionomia storico-istituzionale, economica ed insediativa della prima fondazione monastica voluta da Gioacchino da Fiore all’inizio del suo progetto di creazione dell’ordo florensis. E’ proprio su questo terreno, con l’obiettivo di far convergere ricerca archeologica e ricerca storica, che si vuole procedere nell’indagine in questione, facendo leva sulla sostanziale abbondanza della documentazione scritta e sulla fortunata scoperta archeologica dei resti materiali dell’insediamento monastico, la cui ubicazione corrisponde alle esigenze che necessariamente dovevano caratterizzare l’insediamento della prima comunità florense, dopo la scelta decisiva di Gioacchino di abbandonare l’ordine cistercense e quindi la carica di abate del monastero di Corazzo

No full textDi grande interesse per l’archeologia medievale in Calabria é stata la recente scoperta del protocenobio fondato da Gioacchino da Fiore alla fine del XII secolo nell’altipiano silano, nel sito di Jure Vetere Sottano, ubicato a circa 5 km ad ovest dal centro di S. Giovanni in Fiore (CS). L’indagine archeologica, condotta da ricercatori dell’IBAM – Istituto per i Beni Archeologici e Monumentali del CNR (sezione di Lagopesole – PZ) e diretta dal Prof. Cosimo Damiano Fonseca, ha preso le mosse in seguito ad una segnalazione del Centro Internazionale di Studi Gioachimiti ed è iniziata nel 2001 con una serie di indagini preliminari (prospezioni georadar, fotointerpretazione), condotte in collaborazione con la Scuola di Specializzazione in Archeologia di Matera (Università degli Studi della Basilicata), grazie alle quali sono state individuate le prime tracce di strutture sepolte e di crolli relativi ad un imponente corpo di fabbrica di forma rettangolare orientato est-ovest.
A queste indagini diagnostiche hanno fatto seguito, dal 2002, quattro campagne di scavo archeologico stratigrafico, realizzate grazie alla proficua sinergia tra l’IBAM CNR, gli Enti di tutela regionali (Soprintendenza per i Beni Archeologici e Soprintendenza per i Beni Architettonici e del Paesaggio della Calabria), il Centro Internazionale di Studi Gioachimiti, il Comune di S. Giovanni in Fiore e resi possibili grazie al sostegno economico del Comitato Nazionale per le Celebrazioni dell’VIII Centenario della morte di Gioacchino da Fiore e del Centro Internazionale di Studi Gioachimiti
On the meaningfulness of data in product design for lifetime optimization
No full textPlanned obsolescence is generally considered as a negative business strategy that induces replacement needs and affects attachment dynamics, as opposed to the goal of elongating product lifetime. At the present, however, an early replacement of long-lasting products is preferred in at least two cases which can be addressed during the design stage i.e. when the cost of maintaining is higher than product benefits and when there are environmental reasons to replace obsolete products. Furthermore, designing meaningful products that help the user in his/her daily activities, while addressing environmental issues, could help affecting attachment even in standardized and utilitarian products, such as home appliances. In this study, the holistic view and the management of the complexity of Systemic Design, combined with the use of the IoT technologies are proposed using the refrigerator as a case study. Acquiring information is considered as a tool for product innovation; the data is divided into (i) static data, related to the product and (ii) dynamic data, which derive from the context of use and interaction with users. The latter can be acquired by investigating the object's daily use and environment, with data acquisition through quantitative tools (sensors) and qualitative ones (feedback, questionnaires, interviews). IoT and data retrieval open a variety of possibilities in monitoring, accessing more precise knowledge of products and households useful for design purposes. This paper seeks to demonstrate how IoT can support and trigger a design transition towards more durable products and components, by focusing on sustainability and simplifying people's lives in daily actions
