In primum librum Regum expositionum libri VI
The paper traces the misunderstandings of the commentary on the first book of Regum attributed to Gregory the Great. The history of the editions is analyzed till the discovery of the only manuscript known of the work, Cava dei Tirreni, Biblioteca dell'Abbazia 9. The criteria of the last edition by Patrick Verbraken are discussed as he uncritically favored the manuscript on the constitutio textus. The problem of the authorship of the work is investigated: although recent studies date the commentary to the twelfth century and ascribe it to Peter of Venosa on the basis of the Chronicon Venusinum, it is possible that the author used texts authentically gregorian
Presupposti ed obiettivi dell’innovazione nel contesto-scuola: dalla comunità al bene comune
The aim of the research was to question the meaning of innovation, trying to transcend the mere size methodological and instrumental. On the basis of the philosophical and pedagogical concept of formativity, we have questioned the assumptions and objectives of innovation, through a reading ethic and hermeneutics of educational planning. The research was conducted on the transverse planes: the theoretical analyzes in sociopedagogical perspective the relationship school-society, relying on theoretical principles of neopersonalismo Christian-based and relational paradigm; on the practical uses of an experimental educational-training activities started in 2011 in the municipality of Montecorvino Pugliano (Salerno). The hypothesis of the project relates to the revaluation of the concept of community within the school situation: the social capital is and must be first of all human capital, so that “ the us become internalized and deep root, able to make fruitful the common good” (Castaldi M.C, 2013).It outlines the objectives of the project: “once again on” the relational being of man; rediscover the ontological significance of the community dimension of the school experience; form the humus made of human values and common feelings. The educational-training methodologies used are part of the perspective of the pedagogy of the gift, articulating a virtuous circle between the education of thought (John Dewey) and the education of the heart (St. John Bosco).Scopo della ricerca è stato quello di interrogarsi sul senso dell’innovazione, cercando di trascenderne la sola dimensione metodologico-strumentale.

Seeding patterns: the sources of regional diversification
Relatedness has been largely acknowledged as a major driver of regional diversification: new industries grow out of technologically related industries by means of combinatorial knowledge dynamics and branching processes. However, by emphasizing the role of firms and entrepreneurs in new path creation, evolutionary scholars have not only underplayed the role of extra-regional actors, linkages and networks, but also the role of national state strategies and wider political economic relations. The research seeks to advance our knowledge and evidence about regional industrial diversification by tackling specific gaps in the literature in three distinct but interdependent contributions. The first paper proposes a systematization of the debate on related vs. unrelated diversification, with a focus on the latter and its implications for uneven regional development and sustainability transitions. The second paper analyses the role of two sets of drivers, namely technological relatedness and innovation policies, on the emergence of new Revealed Technological Advantages in the United States (1981-2010), providing evidence for both drivers by means of econometric estimations. The third paper deploys the concept of «related variety», as formulated by Boschma (2005) and Frenken, van Oort and Verburg (2007), to verify if well-diversified and interdependent creative industries determine more pronounced local creative employment growth in the Italian provinces (2008-2010), with corroborating findings

Neuroplasticity in adult human visual cortex
Between 1-5:100 people worldwide have never experienced normotypic vision due to a condition called amblyopia, and about 1:4000 suffer from inherited retinal dystrophies that progressively lead to blindness. While a wide range of technologies and therapies are being developed to restore vision, a fundamental question still remains unanswered: would the adult visual brain retain a sufficient plastic potential to learn how to ‘see’ after a prolonged period of abnormal visual experience? In this review we summarize studies showing that the visual brain of sighted adults retains a type of developmental plasticity, called homeostatic plasticity, and this property has been recently exploited successfully for adult amblyopia recovery. Next, we discuss how the brain circuits reorganize when blindness occurs and when visual stimulation is partially restored by means of a ‘bionic eye’ in late blind adults with Retinitis Pigmentosa. The primary visual cortex in these patients slowly became activated by the artificial visual stimulation, indicating that sight restoration therapies can rely on a considerable degree of spared plasticity in adulthood
