No full textW swym artykule autorka koncentruje się na funkcji i sposobie prezentacji obrazu w poezji Andrzeja Buszy. Szczególna uwaga poświęcona została filmowemu obrazowaniu w tej liryce, które stanowi tu główne źródło inspiracji poety. Próbując odpowiedzieć na pytanie, do jakiego stopnia technika filmowa w twórczości Buszy stanowi jedno z ważniejszych punktów odniesienia w jego poetyckiej narracji, autorka skupia się na trzech wierszach: Powrót Hamleta, Łazarz oraz Tajni agenci. W szkicu przedstawione zostały również rozważania na temat "poetyki filmowej" Piera Paolo Pasolini, która zdaje się istotna w symbolicznym odczytaniu filmowego obrazowania w liryce Andrzeja Buszy. Ponadto, autorka zauważa również, iż obrazowanie w tej poezji terminuje w twórczości malarskiej m.in. René Magritte'a i Edvarda Muncha.The paper examines the nature and function of images in Andrzej Busza's poetry. The author is above all interested in the film image, exploring it both as a medium of expression and a source of inspiration. She considers the issue to what extent actual film techniques can be identified in Busza's poetic texts. She constructs her argument by analyzing several poems (Powrót Hamleta/ Hamlet's Return; Łazarz/ Lazarus; Tajni aganci/ Secret Agents) in which cinematic techniques are especially evident. One filmmaker, whose method of creating his „world” seems to appeal to Busza is Pier Paolo Pasolini, and the author of the article also refers to some of Pasolini's ideas on the "cinema of poetry". She further argues that the manner in which Busza structures his imagery is also indebted to painting; for example, the work of such artists as Rene Magritte and Edvard Munch

No full textSzkic poświęcony jest metafizycznej liryce Andrzeja Buszy. Inspiracją do pogłębionego nad nią namysłu stały się najnowsze, angielskojęzyczne wiersze poety, w których zastanawia się on nad fenomenem śmierci, a także stawia pytania dotyczące istnienia/nieistnienia Boga we wszechświecie. Filozoficzne refleksje, jakie pojawiają się w wielu utworach, pomagają w sformułowaniu hipotezy, że Busza poszukuje odpowiedzi na nurtujące go pytania na dwóch przeciwległych biegunach – metafizycznym i filozoficznym. Lektura ostatniego tomu zatytułowanego Niepewność poszerza pole interpretacji, bowiem poeta wskazuje trzecią sferę – naukową, w której poszukiwać będzie odpowiedzi na pytania o byt. Trzy obszary, wokół których ogniskują się przemyślenia Andrzeja Buszy, ujawniają niepokój i niepewność, które wciąż towarzyszą lirycznemu bohaterowi jego wierszy. Artykuł miał na celu przybliżenie jednego z najistotniejszych wątków w twórczości poety z kanadyjskiego Vancouver, oświetlając go z trzech różnych, przenikających się w tej poezji, perspektyw.The sketch discusses the metaphysical poetry of Andrzej Busza. A deepened reflection over it was inspired by the latest, English-language poems in which the poet muses over the phenomenon of death, as well as asks questions concerning the existence/nonexistence of God in the universe. The philosophical reflections appearing in many poems help us to formulate a hypothesis that Busza searches for answers to the questions disturbing him in two opposite poles – metaphysics and philosophy. The reading of the last tome, under the title Niepewność [Uncertainty], broadens the field of interpretation, since the poet shows a third sphere – the scientific one, where he will search for the answers to questions of being. Andrzej Busza’s reflections focus on three areas which reveal anxiety and uncertainty, still keeping company to the lyrical hero of his poems. The article was intended to present one of the most important motifs in the works of the poet from Vancouver, illuminating them from three different perspectives which intertwine in his poetry
Time, existence and non-existence in the poetic reflections of Andrzej Busza
No full textThe essay presents the latest English poems of Andrzej Busza, in which the writer analyses the phenomenon of existence/non-existence of a being after death. The poet juxtaposes two conflicting ways of perceiving the aforementioned problem - the empirical and metaphysical one. Busza's literary attempt to understand the phenomeon of death, is integrally related to the question of God's existence. Poetic reflections have been presented with reference to the selected philosophical ideas, and first and feremost, to the existential philosophy of Jean-Paul Sartre, witch corresponds with the ontic consideraions of Andrzej Busza, presented in his numerous poems

No full textThe essay is devoted to the creative activities of Andrzej Busza, one of the members of the London group “Kontynenty” (Continents). His Polish poetry from the 60s of the previous century and the one that originated in Canada were presented in the context of complex experience of an emigration poet. I paid utmost attention to the problems of settlement and alienation of the author living away from his homeland. The thoughts concerning the physical and symbolic space, in which Busza attempts to feel at home, occupy a significant place in here. They are accompanied by divagations on time and periodicity of events which human existence is filled with. Moving within the space of signs and symbols, the poet wishes to understand the essence of being as well as find their place in the world. Palimpsest and intertextual character of this lyric poetry allows to refer to various disciplines of art, and most of all to the European literature. That is why a number of references to Anglo-Saxon literature appear in this article

No full textThe author shares his reflections on state of art in housing and urban planning, deficiencies, expectations and possibilities in the Sahel region of Africa. He notices, that the housing problem in Africa is one of the challenges, which should be solved in order to recover life dignity of African people and secure their rights to traditional family life in acceptable conditions. The paper describes the studies on the typical dispersed urban structures and the need to foster this type of settlement structure and proposals of introduction of new on light steel frame housing system in the area of Sahel, combining the traditional way of building houses with modern technology. The particularly analysed case, is the housing problem in the Republic of Chad. The author presents the basic discussion on this topic and his architectural proposals. Unfortunately, the gap between the needs and the financial feasibility of housing construction in this area, makes this project already at the starting point extremely difficult to be realized without external subventions.Problem mieszkaniowy w Afryce jest jednym z wyzwań, które należy rozwiązać, aby Afrykanie mogli odzyskać godność życiową i zabezpieczyć swoje prawa do tradycyjnego życia rodzinnego w akceptowalnych warunkach. W artykule opisano badania nad typowymi rozproszonymi strukturami miejskimi i potrzebą wspierania tego typu struktur osadniczych oraz propozycji wprowadzenia nowego systemu konstrukcji domów, opartym na lekkim szkielecie stalowym, łączącym tradycyjny sposób budowania domów z nowoczesną technologią. Przypadkiem szczególnie analizowanym jest problem mieszkaniowy w Republice Czadu. Autor przedstawia podstawową dyskusję na ten temat i swoje propozycje architektoniczne. Niestety luka między potrzebami mieszkaniowymi w Czadzie a finansową wykonalnością budownictwa mieszkaniowego w tym obszarze sprawia, że projekt ten, już w punkcie wyjścia, jest niezwykle trudny do realizacji bez uzyskania zewnętrznych dotacji

No full textThe main aim of the article is to read and interpret Andrzej Busza’s early poems by referring to the surrealistic perspective. The author focuses on this type of imagery which manifests itself in the collection of poems entitled Astrologer in the Underground, and tries to answer the question regarding how Busza creates an image that falls into this trend in literature. The surrealistic imagery which ispresent in Andre Breton’s and Paul Eluard’s poetic works is a significant point of reference in this paper. The author explains what may contribute to the fact that Busza’s imagery can be regarded as independent and distinct in comparison to its French predecessors. The reflections devoted to this trend in painterly art, which are present in Busza’s latest collection of poems entitled Ekfrazy / Ekphrases, have been deliberately omitted in this paper.Artykuł stanowi próbę odczytania wczesnych liryków Andrzeja Buszy w perspektywie nadrzeczywistej. Autorka skupia się na surrealnym obrazowaniu, jakie ujawnia się między innymi w zbiorze Astrolog w metrze, i próbuje odpowiedzieć na pytanie, w jaki sposób Busza konstruuje obraz wpisujący się w ten nurt w literaturze. Istotnym punktem odniesienia w tym szkicu jest surrealistyczne obrazowanie spod znaku Andre Bretona i Paula Eluarda. Autorka wyjaśnia, z czego może wynikać odrębność i niezależność obrazowania u Buszy w porównaniu do jego francuskich wzorców literackich. Refleksje poświęcone surrealizmowi w sztukach malarskich, które Busza podejmuje w swym ostatnim zbiorze zatytułowanym Ekfrazy, zostały tu celowo pominięte.

Autor wykorzystał nowe zasoby Archiwum Niemieckiego Liberalizmu w Gummersbach, co umożliwiło przedstawienie nowej oceny wpływu FDP na politykę wschodnią Republiki Federalnej Niemiec.The main goal of the article is to analyze the FDP's program activities in the eastern policy of the Federal Republic of Germany in the years 1949-1969. Of great importance here is the fact that the author used in this work new archives from the Archives of German Liberalism in Gummersbach. This enabled him to present a new assessment of the FDP's impact on the eastern policy of the Federal Republic of Germany
