Populasi Hiu Martil Di Pelabuhan Pendaratan Ikan (PPI) Meulaboh Kabupaten Aceh Barat
The territorial waters of West Aceh, Aceh Province is an area with a long topography and wide sea. The water area is included in the Republic of Indonesia State Fisheries Management Area (WPPNRI) 572. The hammerhead shark Sphyrna lewini is not significantly different from the hammerhead shark Sphyrna mokarran, both of which are characterized by their heads widening laterally and being less than a third of their body shape. Sphyrna lewini has a body size ranging from 50 cm to 420 cm, which generally lives in the tropics and is easily found in island waters with a continental shelf reaching a depth of 275 m. Its important role can be seen from an ecological perspective in the development of conservation and sustainable marine and fishery resources. This should be managed responsibly for the sake of creating a prosperous and independent society. West Aceh district is a coastal area that is rich in fishery products. This is inseparable from its location directly facing the Indian Ocean which is rich in fish. However, the sustainability of the hammerhead shark is not yet known in detail. Therefore, a study on the sustainability of hammerhead sharks at PPI Meulaboh needs to be carried out. The method used in this study was a field experiment (experimental fishing) from fishermen’s catches. Furthermore, the data obtained were tabulated and analyzed. Overall, the size of the hammerhead shark caught by fishermen was in the interval of 62.5-93.5 cm. By sex, there were 19 male sharks and 20 female sharks. The maximum length (L∞) was 96 cm. Furthermore, the value of K was 0.290 per year. The Von Bertanlffy growth equation model was Lt = 91.6(1-e-0.29(t+0.03)). The value of total mortality (Z) was 0.84 and natural mortality (M) was 0.94 with a temperature of 29 0C, where the incidence of natural deaths was greater than fishing deaths. Fishing mortality (F) was 0.10, with an exploitation ratio (E) was of 0.12.Wilayah perairan Aceh Barat Provinsi Aceh merupakan wilayah dengan topografi serta memiliki panjang dan laut yang sangant luas. Selanjutnya nilai K sebesar 0.290 pertahun. model persamaan pertumbuhan Von Bertanlffy yakni Lt = 91,6(1-e-0,29(t+0,03)).
SOSIALISASI TEKNOLOGI FISSION SEBAGAI ALTERNATIF PEMBIAKAN TERIPANG (Holothuria sp) BAGI MASYARAKAT SIMEULUE ACEH
Hammerhead shark is a type of predator shark belongs to the family of Sphyrnidae. This shark is so aggressive in hunting prey such as fish, squid, and shrimp. The hammerhead shark in Indonesia is included in Appendix II of CITES and has been a special concern in the field of capture fisheries. The aim of the study was to see the size spread, the number of catches, the first size caught, the age growth and the genital ratio of the hammerhead sharks caught with the base fish net. The study was conducted from October to December 2019. The shark measurement was performed once in 2 weeks. Sharks caught by the gills of the base (buttom gilt net) were measured using a roll meter. The collection of hammerhead sharks included total length (TL), number of catches and genital ratio. The analysis was done descriptively using the ELEFAN I existing on Sofwere FiSAT II. The results showed that the hammerhead sharks caught with an gill net of 65 tails from October to December 2019 were taken on the male genital. The total size spread of female malletic sharks were between 61.5-131.5 cm and male hammering sharks between 61.5-111.5 cm. The morphologically spread of the female hammerhead was relatively longer than the male shark. The male hammerhead shark was first captured at a length of 117.9 cm and a female hammerhead shark at a size of 106.2 cm. Hammerhead shark growth by following the curve of von Bertalanffy mallet were male Lt = 138,08 (1-exp (-0.480 (t + 0.0487)) and female mallet shark Lt = 138,08 (1-exp (-0.430 (t + 0.0434)). Such equations can be known by using the relationship curve model between the age and length of fish
DIVERSIFIKASI PENGOLAHAN HASIL LAUT DALAM UPAYA PENCEGAHAN STUNTING DI DESA BABUL MAKMUR KABUPATEN SIMEULUE
Simeulue Regency is ranked as the second highest stunting rate among other districts in Aceh Province. One of the villages showing the highest stunting rate is Babul Makmur in West Simeulue District. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on the diversification of marine product processing as an effort to prevent stunting in Babul Makmur Village. The research was conducted in Babul Makmur Village from November to December 2021. This study used qualitative methods, namely observation and interviews with 50 respondents. Based on the results, it was found that 78% of respondents had heard of functional food and some processed products from marine products. Then, 32% had known that fishery products are rich in protein, omega 3 and omega 6. The final evaluation showed that 74% of respondents had fully understood that consuming fish and shellfish could prevent malnutrition in children and toddlers. The results obtained indicate that the community had a good understanding of the use of seafood and the diversification of its processed products as an effort to prevent and control stunting in children and toddlers. Keywords: Diversification, Marine Products, Simeulue Regency, Stuntin
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
