No full textIm vorliegenden Artikel setze ich mich mit den wissenschaftstheoretischen Kommentaren von Greiner (2019) und Burda (2019) auseinander. Greiner unterscheidet mit Bezug auf Wallner «Wissen» und «Erkenntnis». Dies entspricht meiner Auffassung von Reflexion auf die psychotherapeutische Praxis. Durch diese Reflexion wird «Erkenntnis» gewonnen. Hinsichtlich Burdas Konzept der Selbst-Differenz, das mehr auf Auflösung statt auf Bildung von Identität bedacht ist, stellt sich die Frage, wie dieses Konzept auf die psychotherapeutische Praxis anwendbar ist.In this article I deal with the epistemological comments of Greiner (2019) and Burda (2019). Greiner differentiates between «Wissen» and «Erkenntnis» with reference to Wallner. This corresponds to my view of reflection on psychotherapeutic practice. «Erkenntnis» is gained by means of this reflection. With regard to Burda’s concept of self-differentiation, which is more concerned with dissolution than with the formation of identity, the question arises, how this concept can be applied to psychotherapeutic practice.Nel presente articolo vengono analizzate le osservazioni e i commenti teorico-scientifici esposti da Greiner (2019) e Burda (2019). Il primo autore, in riferimento a Wallner, pone l’accento sulla differenza tra «sapere» e «conoscenza». Ciò corrisponde alla mia posizione riguardante la riflessione sulla prassi psicoterapeutica. Mediante tale riflessione la «conoscenza» viene ampliata. In relazione al concetto del secondo autore, riguardante la differenziazione del sé, più in linea con una dissoluzione identitaria che con una sua formazione, sorge la domanda di come tale concetto possa essere impiegato nella prassi terapeutica

No full textEl presente trabajo se centra en la descripción de burda (de), forma propia del español actual de Venezuela, con un valor cuantificador e intensificador cercano a ‘muy, en cantidad, demasiado’. El primer objetivo es la comprobación de su estatuto adjetival y adverbial, así como las clases de palabras que puede acompañar. Los resultados permiten constatar que las estructuras más frecuentes son burda de + A (burda de dulce) y burda de + N (burda de esfuerzo), antecedidas por los verbos ser, tener y estar. En menor medida, burda deprecede a adverbios de tiempo, lugar y manera (burda de mal). Por otro lado, la construcción burda (‘mucho’) sirve como intensificador verbal (se tardan burda) y adjetival, con un valor cercano a ‘muy’ pero en posposición (pana burda). Después, se intenta descifrar su origen y proceso de gramaticalización. Constatado que su empleo no se restringe solo al ámbito del lenguaje juvenil, se concluye que burda (de) es un marcador de origen, es decir una forma vernácula que contribuiría a definir la identidad “nacional” del hablante

No full textGeorge Burda (ca. 1902-March 30, 1986), born in Egypt, Pennsylvania, was married to Anna Burda, née Orban. His parents emigrated from Austria-Hungary. Burda worked for Bethlehem Steel for 36 years as a chainman, piler, cracker, and grinder. In this interview Burda discusses his experiences at Bethlehem Steel including working conditions, safety, and working with women in the plant during World War II. This interview is part of a series of interviews conducted by Lehigh University students and faculty from 1974 through 1977 focusing on retired Bethlehem Steel workers, business people, and the heirs of industrial magnates. The project was co-sponsored by Bethlehem Steel Corporation, who provided contact information for retired steel workers. An oral history interview is an act of memory and hence both highly selective and highly subjective. While it accurately reflects what a narrator remembers (or chooses to tell) of his or her experience and viewpoints, it may not accurately represent what actually transpired or what another person may have experienced. As such users should subject interviews to the same degree of critical scrutiny they would any other historical source
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
No full textThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
