The sensitive detection of heavy metal ions, such as mercuric ion is currently a task of prime importance for environmental and biological applications. An electrochemical method for the selective detection of Hg2+ ions has been developed using new ferrocene derivatives 2-((bis(2-(ethylthio)ethylamino)methyl)-N-ferrocenylmethyl H1A and 2-(ethylthiomethyl)-N-ferrocenylmethyl aniline H2A. These compounds were synthesized in good yield and characterized by general spectroscopic tools. The electrochemical response of these compounds upon the specific metal ion binding was measured italic cyclic voltammetry (CV). Upon adding mercuric ions into the solution of H1A or H2A, the oxidation peaks of H1A or H2A are shifted to the negative voltage compared to the oxidation potential of the mercury free H1A or H2A. In the case of H1A, we observed only the shift of oxidation peaks potential. But in H2A case, besides the oxidation peaks potential shifts, a new potential waves was formed in the investigative potential range. In both cases, compared to other metal ions, mercuric ion shows higher binding affinity which is exposing the possibility of the application to an electrochemical mercuric ion-sensor

Mobile phones with banking technology are becoming more readily available in Vietnam. Similarly, many financial institutions and mobile phone service providers are teaming up to provide several banking services to customers via the mobile phone. However, the number of people who choose to adopt or use such technologies is still relatively low. Therefore, t here is a need to assess the acceptance of such technologies to establish factors that hinder or promote customer’s intention to use mobile banking. Survey dat a collected from 452 consumers was analyzed to provide evidence. Results from the partial least s quares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) using the SmartPLS 3.0 program indicated that perceived easy to use, perceived credibility, usefulness, attitude, perceived behavioral control and subjective norm are significant with respect to the customer’s intention to use mobile banking services. The results of the data analysis contribute to the body of knowledge by demonstrating that the above factors are critical in intention to use mobile banking in a developing country context. The finding of this stud y can also help marketers in the banking sector offer more suitable marketing strategies in their field in order to make higher attractiveness with mobile banking service

The thesis's outcome is an Excel budgeting tool, financial analyses and user tool guide. This thesis is a tool for the entity to operate financially and make the right decisions in business. This thesis is a product-based thesis, including a theoretical part and an empirical one, which follows the zipper structure. There are five project tasks to be implemented in succession. The first and second tasks include designing the theoretical framework and establishing the relationship between theoretical and empirical sections. Cost behaviour and financial situation analysis are addressed in task three. The result of the thesis is illustrated in task four, which is the process of building a master budget and performance evaluation. The master budget comprises an operating budget and a financial budget, which describes the business result anticipation in the next period. Based on different operating modes, the author designs separate budgets to show profitability from each operating mode clearly. The performance analysis is created based on the master budget by using financial ratio analysis, profitability analysis, and cost-volume profit analysis. Next, the toolkit is introduced with detailed instructions and steps on how to utilize the budget package. The last task describes the evaluation of the project and the author's reflection on the learning. The author conducted interviews with the owner, and the internal accountant of the company to collect primary data. This thesis provides a first draft of a one-dimensional model of the Nhat Le River Basin. The model is almost ready for use due to the short period of time. The model requires at least an adequate calibration before using. With this thesis a first start has been made. Eventually, with the model, the probability of water levels in the Nhat Le River (Quang Binh Province, Vietnam) can be estimated, which are needed for calculation of the embankments height along the Nhat Le River. In the beginning of the project this thesis had another research question. But at the start of the assignment the provided documents did not suffice due to missing and/or wrong drawings, wrong calculations and lack on key input. Some information should be bought and the newly presented documents never came or came too late. Although it didn’t work out as planned, a lot about the Vietnamese culture and organizational structure has been learned. The new research question was originated around the calculations of the newly proposed embankments along the Nhat Le River. The provided documents calculated the levels of the embankments with the old regulations. These calculations were based on the old Vietnamese regulations, which are not sufficient anymore. The new regulations require a one-dimensional model to estimate the highest water level in the river with different frequency floods. Due to the short period of time, the model is not yet ready for implementation. However some recommendations for optimization and further use of the model are given. The one-dimensional model is made with the computer software HEC-RAS. The Water Resources University Hanoi provided the required data, including boundary conditions and cross-sections. Data in Vietnam is not easy to obtain. It took a long time to get the proper information and support from different parties. Although, this assignment is a good first start of modelling the one-dimensional model. In order to establish the final one-dimensional model the following steps should be conducted: - More cross-sections along the Dia Giang and Kien Giang river branches in order to determine the correct slopes of the river branches; - Development of the Dia Giang and Kien Giang river branches with wider cross-sections, including floodplains and storage areas; - Calibration of the Dia Giang river branch; - Calibration of the whole Nhat Le river Branch; - Implementation of the My Trung sluice in the Kien Giang river branch; - Data of different frequency floods in the Dia Giang and Kien Giang river branch to estimate the different high water levels in the main of Nhat Le river in different scenarios; - Clearness about the positions of the newly constructed embankments.Hydraulic EngineeringHydraulic EngineeringCivil Engineering and Geoscience

The present work is based on the study of the concept of love in buddhist perspective, particularly from the perspective of buddhist Thich Nhat Hanh, essentially in his book “Lições sobre o amor”. The thesis aims to highlight some questions about the nature of love. The author, Thich Nhat Hanh is a buddhist monk, leader of a buddhist community, whose vast work rescues the true concept of love according to the buddhist teachings. In his work presents the following essential elements of true love: loving kindness (maitri); compassion (karuna); joy (mudita) and equanimity (upeksha). And puts the love as the basis of true happiness. This thesis aims to deepen these concepts in the light of a philosophical discourse. Is love just a theoretical concept? Can we extend this concept to a real perspective and practice in life and society? Maitri will be love the basis of all happiness in every human being? The theme of love is a widely studied topic in various perspectives and theories. In this thesis I analyze the depth of the buddhist proposal of love in the work of the monk Thich Nhat Hanh. As this proposal fit in society
