No full textThis dissertation is due to is a due to thoughts about the process of the coaching of actors from the play Quatro Paredes, by Cia. Mínima in Goiânia, Goiás, Brasil, 2003. This theatrical production was constituted inspired by principles of acting coaching presented by Italian theater director Eugênio Barba (1936) in Brazil and is part of the reception of techniques developed by the director in our country. These work pursuits the systematization and thinking of the methodologies and exercises used in the preparation of actors of this theatrical production. Such analysis uses four conceptual filters for the comprehension of this process and present on the building of this play: ritual, flow, play and improvisation. The methodology used in this is investigated through exercises and procedures that were grounded on these conceptual filters. Through work diary, photos and memories the elements of four actors’ experiences are registered and analyzed during the preparation of the referred play: Ana Paula Carvalho, Bruno Peixoto, Mayarah Pinheiro e Pedro Vilela.Esta dissertação é fruto de reflexões sobre o processo de preparação de atores do espetáculo Quatro Paredes, realizado pela Cia. Mínima em Goiânia, Goiás, Brasil, 2003. Esta montagem teatral se constituiu inspirada nos postulados de preparação do ator apresentados pelo diretor teatral italiano Eugênio Barba (1936) no Brasil e faz parte da recepção das técnicas desenvolvidas pelo diretor em nosso país. Este trabalho visa uma sistematização e reflexão das metodologias e exercícios usados na preparação atoral desse espetáculo. Tal análise utiliza quatro filtros conceituais para a compreensão deste processo e presentes na construção desta montagem: ritual, fluxo, jogo e improvisação. É investigada a metodologia utilizada através de exercícios e procedimentos que se fundamentavam nestes filtros conceituais. No full textFourth Walls is a performative multidisciplinary art work that suggests an introspective and extrospective reflexion on the subject of anxiety, the linear and nonlinear perception of time and the perception of the physical space. Its conceptual approach is creating a two moment event, the performance event itself (real time performance) and the installation (resonance of the performance) suggesting a synchronous and asynchronous experience of an art work. The Fourth Wall is a collective creation by Bruno Pereira, Dimitris Andrikopoulos and Horácio Tomé-Marques.Quartas Paredes é uma peça de arte performativa interdisciplinar que propõe uma reflexão, simultaneamente introspecção e extrospeção, à volta da ansiedade, das percepção de tempo linear/não linear e do espaço físico. A sua abordagem concetual desdobra o evento em ato (tempo-real) e instalação (ressonância do ato), sugerindo – e potenciando – a experiência síncrona e assíncrona da peça. Paredes accedió a dar esta entrevista siempre y cuando fuese también una entrevista realizada a algunas de las mujeres que son parte de la Comunidad Mujeres Creando y con la Asamblea Feminista Comunitaria. En tal virtud, esta entrevista se divide en dos partes, la primera con la autora y la segunda con la mencionada comunidad.The following is an interview with activist, theorist and writer Julieta Paredes in the city of La Paz on January 8, 2011. A translation of selected short stories by Colombian author Julio Paredes
No full textJulio Paredes is a contemporary Colombian writer who has published two novels, three collections of short stories, and a biography. His stories are evocative, thought-provoking narratives of difficulties a variety of characters face as they relate to other human beings and search for meaning in this life. Throughout Paredes's work, emphasis is placed on the unknown, thus leaving many of his stories open-ended. His characters struggle with existential questions, and quite often, the text is representative of their inner thoughts and feelings.
The following selection contains eight short stories from three different collections. While the particular situations of each are quite varied, common themes such as relationships, love, passing from one stage of life to the next, and magic emerge among them. Paredes illustrates the fact that the type of angst felt by his characters does not discriminate; people of different ages and backgrounds share similar experiences.
Because these stories focus on the human spirit, which transcends geographic and cultural boundaries, they translate quite nicely from their original Spanish and can certainly be enjoyed and appreciated by an English-speaking audience.M.A.Includes bibliographical references (p. 113-114)
