Roberto Gerhard’s Sound Compositions: A Historical-Philological Perspective. Archive, Process, Intent and reenactment
No full textThis research advances the current state of knowledge in the field of early tape music both empirically and methodologically. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact that the electronic medium exerted in the musical thinking of Roberto Gerhard, one of the most outspoken, prolific and influential composers in the Spanish diaspora whose musical legacy, for the most part unknown, is a major landmark in the early history of electroacoustic music. Gerhard’s personal tape collection, one of the largest historical archives of its kind reported in the literature, is exceptional for both its antiquity (50+-year-old tapes) and its abundance of production materials. Through the digitisation and analysis of the composer’s tape collection this research argues that the empirical study of audio documents sets out a basis for a broader understanding of textual processes. More specifically, the research demonstrates that the reconstruction of works based on magnetic tape sketches is a powerful method to advance the understanding of early tape music. This research also examines Gerhard’s sound compositions in relation to the post-war context in which they were composed. Finally, this research presents performance documentation that proposes an approach to the electroacoustic music repertoire in which creativity is not at odds with rigor and critical discernment demonstrating that archival study can be closely aligned to the concept of re-enactment

A tutorial on modeling and analysis of dynamic social networks. Part I
No full textIn recent years, we have observed a significant trend towards filling the gap between social network analysis and control. This trend was enabled by the introduction of new mathematical models describing dynamics of social groups, the advancement in complex networks theory and multi-agent systems, and the development of modern computational tools for big data analysis. The aim of this tutorial is to highlight a novel chapter of control theory, dealing with applications to social systems, to the attention of the broad research community. Para contrapor a perspectiva dialética da leitura que Roberto Schwarz faz do livro, o ponto de partida dessa dissertação é Jaques Derrida e a proposta de se pensar, a partir de Nietzsche, em otobiografias. Outro antídoto ao olhar dialético é Silviano Santiago, que se dedicou a analisar o caráter Superastro de Caetano Veloso, desde os textos de Uma literatura nos trópicos. Por fim, há a proposta de aproximar Caetano às  literaturas pós-autônomas de Josefina Ludmer e à abordagem a partir dos  restos do real , da também argentina Florencia Garramuño, ambas pensando como as literaturas dessa virada de século XX borram as fronteiras dos gêneros literários, assim como subvertem as ideias de ficção, autoria e, automaticamente, a ideia de literatura.This dissertation has as the object of study book Tropical Truth , Caetano Veloso, published in 1997 by the Companhia das Letras publishing house in Brazil and in 2002 by Alfred Knopf Publisher in the US . To counter the dialectical perspective of reading that Roberto Schwarz is the book, the starting point of this dissertation is Jacques Derrida and the proposal of thinking , from Nietzsche , in otobiografias . Another antidote to the dialectical look is Silviano Santiago, who devoted himself to analyze the Superstar character Caetano Veloso from the texts of a literature in the tropics. Finally , there is the proposed approach Caetano to "post -autonomous literature " Josefina Ludmer and approach from the "real debris ," the also Argentinean Florencia Garramuño , both wondering how the literature of this century turning blur the boundaries of literary genres , as well as subvert the fiction ideas, authorship and automatically literature mind

No full textV diplomskem delu analiziramo dramo Roberto Zucco, ki jo je napisal Bernard-Marie Koltès, in tehnike, ki jih uporabi za ponovno vzpostavitev jezika, preko katerega dokazuje avtoriteto avtorja v drami. S tem pokažemo, da se avtor obrne stran od postdramskega gledališča, kot ga pojmuje Hans Thies Lehmann, in ponovno izpostavi strukturo in red v besedilu. Za analizo Koltèsovega besedila izpostavimo nekaj izhodišč postsemiotičnih teoretikov, kot so Anne Ubersfeld in Patrice Pavis. Dramske osebe in njihove medsebojne odnose analiziramo s pomočjo Lacanove teorije o subjektu in Drugem. Pri tem se osredotočamo na željo, ki konstituira subjekt in mu hkrati povzroča trpljenje v večnem lovljenju izmuzljive sreče.In this seminar paper we analyse the play Roberto Zucco, written by Bernard-Marie Koltès. The analyse is based on the theory of restoration of a language and consequently the author. Furthermore, we show a break with the post dramatic theatre established by Hans Thies Lehmann and the resurrection of structure and order in the text. The starting point for the analyse of dramatic text is postsemiotic theory by Anne Ubersfeld and Patrice Pavis. The analyse of the subjects is based on the Lacanian theory of the subject birth and the Other. We focus on the desire, which simultaneously constitutes the subject and it cause suffering to him in the endless chasing of the evasive luck
Reflexions on the Metalinguistic Use of Turcisms in Contemporary Slovenian
No full textThe aim of the paper is to point out the semantic aspects of some selected Turcisms used in the linguistic system of contemporary Slovenian. From a lexical corpus of loanwords of Turkish origin, appearing in two etymological dictionaries of the Slovenian language (ESSJ, SES), the author has identified a number of items that have developed a semantic value, which is also relevant in anthropological discourse on the perception of alterity.
By observing the process of acquisition of these selected loanwords, we realise that they became part of the Slovenian vocabulary relatively late and mostly through Serbo-Croatian. Their semantic evolution towards a pejorative meaning, which is also shared by other Balkan languages as Bosnian, Croatian,Serbian or Montenegrin, sets the basis for discussion at a metalinguistic level. The most significant case from an angle of the perception of diversity is the item čefur, meaning 'immigrant from the former Yugoslav republics', which, in recent time, has been morphologically transformed in the Slovenian linguistic sphere. This word carries the highest semantic force by conveying the definition of the Other. Moreover, this appears in literary works and other typologies of written language with relatively frequent occurrence when compared to other items.
The examination of this phenomenon from several perspectives will be first and foremost an attempt to analyse the issue at a metalinguistic level and, at the same time, an exploration into the stereotypes which are conceived as a definition of Other in Slovenia today. No full textPartiendo de los seis textos centrales de la obra de Roberto Esposito, de los cuales se recogen sus principales elementos, este trabajo se centra en esclarecer la dirección que sigue el autor en su itinerario deconstructivo. Asimismo, también se enfoca en descifrar la conexión existente entre las principales categorías políticas que él trabaja –impolítico, communitas, inmunidad, biopolítica e impersonal– y en desenmascarar una lógica oculta, que se logra advertir en la profundidad de lo político. Esto permite dilucidar, que se ha acentuado una disposición hacia el cerramiento que afecta al léxico y las disposiciones políticas en general y la cual puede ser contrarrestada al abrir el horizonte de lo político a una perspectiva más amplia. (Texto tomado de la fuente).Taking in consideration the six central texts of Roberto Esposito's work, from which its main elements are collected, this work focuses on clarifying the direction that the author follows in his deconstructive itinerary. Likewise, this work also focuses on deciphering the connection between the main political categories that he works with –impolitical, communitas, immunity, biopolitics and impersonal– and on unmasking a hidden logic, which can be found in the depths of the political. Ao utilizar como objeto de estudo as antigas vilas de Três Barras e Marcílio Dias, nascidas ao redor de madeireiras, que instalaram - se junto a estações da Estrada de Ferro São Paulo - Rio Grande, o trabalho problematiza a transição entre uma tradição da técnica, do imigrante europeu, para uma tradição da tecnologia, de influência norte-americana, ligada às transformações trazidas pela presença da Estrada de Ferro, ropondo chaves de interpretação sobre a formação da cidade do Planalto e do Oeste catarinense, áreas de influência da ferrovia.Working with the concepts of landscape and archive, this work develops the urban memory of the wood cities, built on the region of the Araucaria forest. By studying the ancient villages of Três Barras and Marcílio Dias, both born from loggings who settled next to the railway stations from Estrada de Ferro São Paulo - Rio Grande, this work discusses the transition between technical tradition, from the european immigrant, to a technological tradition, from the american infl uence, linked to changes brought about by the presence of the railroad, offering keys to an interpretation of the formation of the city of Santa Catarina Plateau and West, areas under the influence of the railroad

No full textThe situation of the oral tradition in ResiaValley (Italy) has been the subject of continual research interest in the decades following the crucial field surveys carried out by Milko Matičetov in the 1960s and 1970s. Recent field research in the same area allows for comparison between contemporary Resian cultural heritage and the state of affairs recorded approximately fifty years ago. Given that oral tradition, especially narratives, seem to be relatively better preserved in Resia than in nearby linguistic areas (e.g. Friulia), the author wishes to ascertain the role of oral tradition in present processes of self representation of the Resian community. Moreover, he depicts the different ways of transmitting and performing oral tradition, recognising its transformations and functions as well as its new dimensions of its symbolic role inside and outside of Resia

Esta pesquisa apresenta como objetivo geral gerar subsídios para elaboração de um plano diretor e uma gestão estratégica para o campus da UNIVILLE. A área de estudos é o campus I da Universidade da região de Joinville, a UNIVILLE, uma universidade comunitária sem fins lucrativos. A pesquisa em questão deve dar suporte para profissionais envolvidos e subsidiar dados para a elaboração dos planos diretores para universidades de perfil similar e promover uma visão micro e macro ambiental do ensino superior, suas tendências e necessidades. Caracteriza-se pelo estudo predominantemente qualitativo, baseando-se na análise do campus universitário. O procedimento metodológico utilizado para a coleta de dados inclui fontes primárias e secundárias. As fontes primárias deste trabalho foram obtidas através da observação da estrutura do campus da UNIVILLE e de sua gestão, buscando analisar de forma crítica as principais necessidades de melhorias. Também foram utilizadas entrevistas semi-estruturadas realizadas com diversas pessoas ligadas a gestão e comunidade acadêmica em geral. As fontes secundárias basearam-se na análise de documentos, publicações, teses de mestrado e relatórios, onde muitos não possuem tratamento analítico. A análise dos dados possibilitou conhecer melhor o processo de planejamento da UNIVILLE, tornando possível avaliar sua evolução em relação ao campus universitário, suas principais dificuldades de planejamento e as principais necessidades onde a universidade está inserida
