Investment voice conversational bot
Tato práce rozebírá analýzu, návrh a vývoj hlasového inteligentního konverzačního bota na platformě Amazon Alexa, který umožňuje uživatelům získávat informace ohledně akciového trhu. Cílem aplikace je snížit vstupní bariéru do světa akciových trhů pro širokou veřejnost, využitím intuitivního hlasového rozhraní. Vytvořený konverzační bot se zaměřuje na vzdělávání uživatele ohledně akciových trhů, umožnění rychlého a jednoduchého získání novinek ohledně obchodovaných společností a celkovému udržení informovanosti uživatele. Aplikace cílí v první řadě na lidi se zájmem o investování na akciovém trhu a aspirující investory, přesto, může být velmi přínosná i pro již zkušenější investory.This project explores the analysis, design, and development of a voice-enabled intelligent conversation bot for the Amazon Alexa platform which allows users to get information about the stock trading market. Thanks to the intuitive voice interface, the goal of the application it to lower the barrier of getting into the stock trading domain for the general public. The created chatbot focuses on educating the user about stock markets, giving a fast and easy way to find out about the news regarding the trading companies and generally keeping the user up to date on the most important trading information. The application targets firstly people interested in stock market investments and aspiring investors, however, using this application could provide great value even to more experienced investors

Human-like bot
The main goal of my thesis is to create a bot for Unreal Tournament 2004 whose behaviour will be as similar as possible to human controlled players. At the beginning, I measured game play data from both humans and bots. Then, I chose one initial bot and I did five iterations of comparing bot data with humans data, selecting one difference, improving the bot with the aim to eliminate the difference and measuring data again. The successful improvements I made were removing rotations during running, adding reactions on hit and better weapon switching. The improvements that did not make a difference were adding a camping and roaming objective and evade using visibility module. In the end, believability of the bot was tested during a study with human players. The bot will take part in a human-like bot competition named the 2K BotPrize

Sprookspreker Jan Bot, heraut Gelre en het ontstaan van de Korte kroniek van Holland
Abstract – According to a recently discovered entry in an account book, the itinerant poet and reciter Jan Bot – of whom it was already known that he wrote a poem about John of Beaumont (†1356) – offered in May 1360 a rotulus containing a short chronicle of Holland to the Holland nobleman John of Blois (John II of Châtillon). This article brings together all the documentary evidence about Jan Bot known to date (from the period 1358 tot 1366) and attempts to identify the chronicle. Especially the so-called Korte kroniek van Holland (‘Short Chronicle of Holland’) seems to be a plausible candidate. A lot of the information in this short rhyming chronicle has been borrowed from Jacob van Maerlant’s Spiegel historiael. Until now, this chronicle was assumed to have been compiled in the late fourteenth century by Herald Guelders (Claes Heynenzoon), since he made two copies of the text and also wrote a continuation. However, this attribution is not without problems. Furthermore, there is a good reason to believe that the chronicle already came into being shortly after 1354. On the basis of these reflections, it cannot be excluded that it was a version of the Korte kroniek van Holland that was offered to John of Blois in 1360 in the form of a rotulus. Hlavním cílem této práce je vytvořit bota pro Unreal Tournament 2004, jehož chování má být co nejpodobnější lidským hráčům. Nejdříve jsme naměřili herní data od lidí a od botů. Poté jsme vybrali výchozího bota a udělali jsme celkem pět iterací porovnání dat od bota s lidskými daty, výběru nějakého rozdílu, vylepšení bota s cílem odstranit tento rozdíl a znovu měření dat. Úspěšná vylepšení byla odebrání otáčení bota za běhu, přidání reakcí na zasažení a lepší přepínání zbraní. Vylepšení která nezmenšila rozdíly byla přidání kempovacího a toulavého módu a útěk s použitím modulu viditelnosti. Na závěr byla věrohodnost bota testována během studie s lidskými hráči. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed.
