No full textIt is within this wider debate that conflates gender with far-right resentment that this issue of Anglistica AION pursues its aims. The contributions all contend a common denominator: the need to remain vigilant and steadfast when dealing with the far-right crusade against gender equality. In all the case studies in this issue, the essence of far-right resistance is embodied by a political agenda that aims to preserve heterocisnormative family ethics, traditional gender values, and the naturalised hierarchies of the conventional roles of men and women. It is against this background that the scholars whose work makes up this edited publication have approached the far-right centrality of gendered arguments and gendered policies. Through various well-established approaches in sociolinguistics (such as Corpus Linguistics, Critical Discourse Analysis, Linguistic Anthropology to name but a few), each contribution analyses the importance of gender within far-right rhetoric, yielding subject matter that is both insightful and original

Constituiu instrumento de pesquisa na dissertação de mestrado do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Cênicas da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul: “COREOGRAFIA ‘21’ DO GRUPO CORPO: 21 percepções sobre o processo de criação cênica”. Acomodados nas poltronas da plateia do Teatro do SESI, enquanto os bailarinos faziam aula no palco, o entrevistado e a autora aprofundam o objeto de estudo (o processo coreográfico do balé “21”) e visitam outros temas que mostram alguns pontos de vista do coreógrafo do Grupo Corpo, Rodrigo Pederneiras. A entrevista foi editada para fins de adequação ao espaço editorial, sem prejuízo ao conteúdo.Interview conducted on 21 and 22 September 2012, when Grupo Corpo came to Porto Alegre (south of Brazil), as part of its national tour. This interview constituted a research instrument in the master’s degree dissertation of the Performing Arts Program at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul: “CHOREOGRAPHY ‘21’ BY GRUPO CORPO: 21 insights into the process of scenic creation.” Taking place in the seats of Teatro do SESI, while dancers were on stage class, the respondent and the author deepen the object of study (the choreographic process of “21”) and visit other issues that show some views of Grupo Corpo’s choreographer, Rodrigo Pederneiras. Redistribuição e inclusão: o orçamento participativo de Biguaçu e as eleições municipais
No full textDissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Sociologia Política, Florianópolis, 2010Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar a experiência do Orçamento Participativo do município de Biguaçu, Santa Catarina, sob dois aspectos analíticos poucos difundidos entre os estudiosos do tema. O primeiro deles, o efeito redistributivo, vem ganhando espaço recentemente, porém, devido às dificuldades na obtenção de dados sobre investimentos necessários às análises, este tipo de estudo ainda encontra uma série de entraves na sua execução. Os estudos que seguem nesta linha têm se dedicado apenas a uma dimensão do efeito redistributivo, a material, que se expressa através da distribuição de bens e serviços públicos. Pretende-se inserir uma segunda dimensão pertencente ao campo simbólico, a inclusividade, que parte do princípio de que a distribuição também se dá sob a ótica da inclusão, empoderando os cidadãos historicamente excluídos dos espaços decisórios tradicionais da política local. Assim, o foco analítico reside nas dimensões redistribuição e inclusão. Dessas análises, partir-se-á para o segundo aspecto analítico: as relações estabelecidas entre OP e eleições. Nesta parte, pretende-se diagnosticar em que medida o OP, através das dimensões distribuição e inclusão, permite aos políticos diretamente vinculados a experiência de expandir suas bases eleitorais no município. A hipótese aqui utilizada é que, frente à estrutura organizacional da experiência, o fator inclusão pesa positivamente em favor dos candidatos governistas, fazendo com que estes consigam expandir e consolidar suas bases eleitorais nas regiões periféricas e com alto Índice de Vulnerabilidade Social. Não se trata de afirmar que sem o OP a vitória nas eleições se inviabilizaria, mas sim, de trabalhar com a ideia de que o OP propicia um contato periódico com as regiões mais afastadas e mais necessitadas, o que favorece a formação e consolidação do recall do candidato, ou seja, a experiência favorece a construção de uma imagem positiva do candidato, dando a ela mais consistência e maior durabilidade na memória do eleitor.The aim of this research was to analyze the experience of the collaborative budget of the town Biguaçu, Santa Catarina, focusing on two analytical aspects pointed as central by the experts of the subject. The first one of them, the redistributed effect, has been recently gaining space; however, due to difficulties in the attainment of data on necessary investments to the analysis, this type of study still finds a series of impediments in its execution. The studies that follow in this perspective have dedicated just to analyze the dimension of the redistributed effect, the material dimension, which express through the distribution of public goods and services. Intended to insert a second dimension pertaining to the symbolic field, the social integration, which claims that the distribution also is a topic of inclusion, which gives power to the citizens who were historically excluded from the political traditional space. In this sense, the analytical focus of the present study worries about both aspects: the redistribution and the inclusion. From these analyses, a second analytical aspect emerges: the relations established between collaborative budget and elections. In this part, we aim to diagnose in which instance the collaborative budget, through the dimensions of distribution and inclusion, allows the statesman directly entailed to the experience of expand their electoral bases in Biguaçu. The hypothesis is that, in face of the structure organizational of the experience, the factor inclusion weighs positively for the governmentalists candidates, allowing them to expand and to consolidate their electoral bases in peripheral regions and with high index of social vulnerability. Is not intend to affirm that without the collaboration budget the victory in the polling would be impracticable, nevertheless we work with the idea that the collaborative budget propitious a periodic contact with the more outlying regions and neediest; this experience influences toward the construction of a positive image of the candidate, giving him more consistence and more durability on the electors# memory
