Arad rowing, past, present and future: Canotajul arădean, trecut, prezent și perspective
No full textThe Mures river is a poem of eternity. It carries its waters from immemorial times across these lands where dignified and hard-working people, lovers of beauty and keepers of old traditions live. The Mures is a God-blessed gift given to the inhabitants of these places, which obliges us to respect it, keep it clean and pass it down to future generations. The birth of rowing in settlements along its run is an apotheosis of human civilization in this valley. Born in and from the tradition of sailors on this river, rowing has been used for both leisure and human communication, as a means for people to capitalize on their physical and psychological characteristics, for their spiritual communion in the eternal flow of this fabulous river – for locals of Arad and others, too. The achievements of Arad rowers form an outstanding panoply of titles and medals won in national and worldwide competitions, propelling our city to the world elite of sport in general and rowing in particular. Our desire, as authors of this work, is to pay our respects to this prominent symbol.

Mureșul este o poezie a eternitãtii. El âți poartã apele din timpuri imemoriale prin aceste locuri cu oameni demni și harnici, iubitori de frumos și pãstrãtori de datini. Mureșul este un dar binecuvântat de la Dumnezeu dat locuitorilor acestor meleaguri, care ne obligã sã-l respectãm, sã-l pãstrãm curat și sã-l transmitem generațiilor viitoare. Nașterea canotajului în localitãtile de pe cursul sãu, este o încununare a civilizației oamenilor din localitãțile situate pe valea acestuia. Nãscut în și din tradiția navigatorilor de pe acest râu, canotajul a fost atât un mijloc de agrement dar și unul de comunicare umanã, un mijloc de a pune în valoare caracteristicile motrice, psihice, comuniunea sufleteascã a acestora în curgerea eternã a acestui fabulos râu – pentru arãdeni si nu numai. Performanțele canotorilor arãdeni se constituie într-un florilegiu marcant de titluri și medalii la competițiile naționale și de pe mapamond, propulsând urbea noastrã în elita mondialã a sportului în general și a canotajului în special. Dorința noastrã, a celor care au fãptuit aceastã lucrare, este aceea de a transmite respectul nostru fațã de acest simbol marcant

Get PDFIntroduction: In order to achieve high efficiency, efficiency in preparing studentsfor life, it is necessary to address the issue in terms of methods andtechniques appropriate to achieving the objectives, assessment methods (attractiveand interesting), the efficiency of the use of devices and materials.Purpose: Using in the experiment described in the paper permanently motiongames, relay races, application paths, I wanted to check their effectivenessand confirm the hypothesis that the method I chose to improve the manifestationof motor skills and level of motor skills is higher compared to two tests,and the methods used were correctly chosen and applied. Methodology: Ihighlighted the means of school physical education provided in the trainingprogram, and in them I presented aspects specific to the three means targetedin the experiment: movement games, relay races and application paths, whichwe also described in detail, also visually, through kinograms. I considered aspecial aspect, the one related to the cooperation between teachers and studentsin the school training process, without which the physical educationlesson cannot achieve its objectives . Results: The results materialized in thelevel of preparation of the students and the progress registered in the experimentperiod show that, through the use of complex exercises, the activationof the students on the basis of awareness was achieved and their motor andspiritual forces were mobilized. Conclusion: the hypothesis I started fromwas that by systematically using the chosen means, they will make progressin the tests administered in the experiment
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
