Plants as a Promising Reservoir of Tyrosinase Inhibitors
The process of melanogenesis, that takes place in the melanocytes of the epidermis, leads to hyperpigmentation. The biosynthetic pathway for production of melanin involves the enzyme tyrosinase that has been an attractive target for cosmaceutical research. Numerous synthetic, semisynthetic and natural, especially plant-based, inhibitors of tyrosinase have been reported in the literature. In plants, the secondary metabolites like flavonoids, chalcones, stilbenes, tannins, hydroquinone and kojic acid, etc... have been shown to possess the anti-tyrosinase activity. In the current review, we have covered the progress in this sphere that would be useful for not only further mechanistic investigations but also for the optimization of the structure of the metabolites for improved activity and selectivity. Thus the review presents a comprehensive report on tyrosinase inhibitors of plant origin reported in the extract form or as isolated compounds. Huge gap has been found between research and industry due to inconsistent pursual of the potent plant based extracts. There is a need to completely evaluate the extracts for structure optimization using molecular docking and evaluation of the safety inorder to benefit the industry with non toxic biological friendly products through invivo and exvivo optimization

A Description of Medication Decision-Making, Dispensing, and Utilization for Hypertensive Patients in Nishtar Hospital Multan, Pakistan
Hypertension is a worldwide health problem affecting developed and developing countries, and Pakistan is no exception. Nishtar Hospital Multan is categorized as one of the biggest hospitals in South Asia. The objective for this study was to describe medication decision-making, dispensing, and utilization for patients diagnosed with hypertension at this patient care facility. The study was conducted by 5 trained pharmacists working in collaboration with prescribers who met with study participants when they visited the hospital. All interview questions were asked in Urdu during the hospital visit. Data were summarized using descriptive statistics. A total of 301 patients who visited the hospital agreed to participate in the study. The findings showed that prescribers spend little time with patients and rarely follow guidelines for decision-making. Regarding the dispensing of medications for the treatment of hypertension, none of the dispensing was completed by a pharmacist and none of the patients received counseling about medications at the time of dispensing. Most patients reportedly do not take their medication as prescribed. Regarding outcomes, 20% of the patients had pre-hypertension, 47% stage 1 hypertension, and 33% stage 2 hypertension. Great improvements are possible in the treatment of hypertension at the hospital we studied through application of standard treatment guidelines, patient education, and adjustments to work system processes so that alignment of provider’s skills with opportunities in improving the patient care process can be achieved.Saeed, Hafiz Muhammad Khawar; Nasar, Naveera; Batool, Sonia; Ghauri, Rabia; Rauf, Aquula. Tras mencionar los precedentes literarios sobre este tema, se analiza los remedios farmacológicos, quirúrgicos y dietéticos, destacando la importancia de la obra de Filúmeno como fuente principal sobre esta enfermedad para los autores de los siglos posteriores
Genome-wide analysis of heavy metal ATPases (<i>HMAs</i>) in Poaceae species and their potential role against copper stress in <i>Triticum aestivum</i>
Plants require copper for normal growth and development and have evolved an efficient system for copper management based on transport proteins such as P1B-ATPases, also known as heavy metal ATPases (HMAs). Here, we report HMAs in eleven different Poaceae species, including wheat. Furthermore, the possible role of wheat HMAs in copper stress was investigated. BlastP searches identified 27 HMAs in wheat, and phylogenetic analysis based on the Maximum Likelihood method demonstrated a separation into four distinct clades. Conserved motif analysis, domain identification, gene structure, and transmembrane helices number were also identified for wheat HMAs using computational tools. Wheat seedlings grown hydroponically were subjected to elevated copper and demonstrated toxicity symptoms with effects on fresh weight and changes in expression of selected HMAs TaHMA7, TaHMA8, and TaHMA9 were upregulated in response to elevated copper, suggesting a role in wheat copper homeostasis. Further investigations on these heavy metal pumps can provide insight into strategies for enhancing crop heavy metal tolerance in the face of heavy metal pollution
Facile synthesis of CTAB coated Au-Ag core-shell nanoparticles and their catalytic and antibacterial activity
This work reports the synthesis of cationic surfactant-coated Au-Ag core-shell (Au@Ag) nanoparticles (NPs) via a straightforward seed-mediated approach. The UV-Vis analysis showed that the plasmon peak position of synthesized Au@Ag NPs correlated with the thickness of the Ag shell encapsulating the Au core. The Au@Ag NPs have shown impressive catalytic performance for the reduction reactions of 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) and methyl orange (MO) where the apparent rate constant experienced a remarkable increase by 67-fold and 90-fold, respectively, when Au@Ag NPs with the Ag-shell thickness of 6.3 nm were employed as a catalyst, compared to Au NPs. This multifold improvement in the activity cannot be simply accounted for by the increase in surface area of NPs and is attributed to the electronic synergistic effects between Au and Ag in the core-shell NPs. Furthermore, while Au@Ag NPs exhibited heightened antibacterial activity against both Gram-positive S. aureus and Gram-negative E. coli bacteria, this enhancement is modest. Notably, the anticipated significant enhancement attributed to Ag's renowned antibacterial properties was not observed. The presence of cationic surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) enables both Au and Au@Ag NPs to effectively bind with the negatively charged bacterial cell membranes through electrostatic interactions. Apparently, CTAB enables both types of NPs to effectively target and eliminate bacteria with comparable efficiency.</p

Perceptions and experiences of professional development in the initial years of teaching: A case of B.Ed. (Hons) graduated teachers
Pre-service teacher education plays a key role in the effective preparation of prospective teachers as it aims to prepare prospective teachers for actual classroom teaching. In order to strengthen the pre-service education, the B.Ed. (Hons) has been introduced in different teacher education institutes. After completion the pre-service programme, graduate enters into the actual teaching field where they need continuous professional development facilities to cope with the emerging contextual challenges (Guskey, 2002; Khan & Saeed, 2010). Therefore, the initial years of teachers’ experience in a school context is a critical phenomenon that needs to be explored. This study aimed to explore perceptions of graduated B.Ed. (Hons) teachers regarding professional development in the initial years of teaching. For exploring this phenomenon, the qualitative case study method was used. The data was collected through semi-structured telephonic interviews and document analysis. The qualitative data were analyzed by following Creswell\u27s (2009) six analysis steps of qualitative data analysis. The key findings indicate that teachers conceptualized professional development as continuous and ongoing activities that facilitate classroom teaching throughout a teaching career. Novice teachers also perceived that ongoing professional development focuses on individual self-development for addressing the contextual teaching needs. In addition, teachers have experienced formal training and informal self-initiated professional development opportunities. Findings revealed that teachers learned more from contextual-based self-initiated professional development opportunities, such as informal interaction with colleagues, self-reflection, conducting workshops, seeking continuous assistance of senior colleagues, and reading research journals. These informal opportunities influenced teachers’ classroom teaching significantly and facilitated them to achieve desired learning outcomes by addressing contextual challenges efficiently. For the effective preparation of prospective teachers and classroom practices, it is recommended that there should be a collaboration between the university and practicum school. Also, a school should provide a socially cohesive environment where novice teachers implement their learning into classroom teaching. Further, more studies could be done for getting extensive insights into novice teachers’ initial experiences
Amor y rabia en una novela de Gabriel García Márquez
«Love and rage in a novel by Gabriel García Márquez». Lovesickness and rage were illnesses
that the old medicine did usually associate in a plain way, as much as they often mistook the
former and the latter, even when their symptoms were tried to be determined. In one of his
novels, Del amor y otros demonios (1994), Gabriel García Márquez presents both illnesses in
the following way: the one as a consequence of the other, lovesickness as the result of rage.
Not only could he find the relation between them in an oral tradition legend, in which he
found inspiration in order to write his novel, but he also could draw inspiration in the
novel by Umberto Eco, Il nome della rosa (1980), and in an essay, La ‘malattia d’amore’ dall’
Antichità al Medioevo (1976) by Ciavolella, that the Italian author did use to write the
chapter about the main character’s lovesickness.

analysis of The role of the broker In the story of Rabia and Baktash based on the role of mediator in Individual assistance
The purpose of this article, which is of a qualitative type, is to examine the actions of the broker in the story of Rabia and Baktash in Athar Neyshabouri's theology, based on the mediator theory as one of the components of individual help. Data were first collected by reference to library resources and note-taking methods and analyzed by relying on content analysis and inductive methods (part to whole). The results of the research show that the broker observes such items as: "Accurate knowledge of the client's problems and mastery in communicating with him", "Accurate knowledge of the client's initial position and take the necessary measures accordingly" and "Correct assessment of the client and those around him" The role of an individual helper has played an important role in the evolution of Rabia's epistemology and has played a pivotal and undeniable role in his realization of his spiritual abilities. By rehabilitating and motivating the main characters of the story, Dallaleh has provided a suitable platform for promoting their individual and social life. Despite these similarities, in some cases, the role of the broker has been different from the mediator function. Among other things, the broker has taken a biased and mostly one-sided approach to resolving Rabia's problems. Also, unlike the mediator who is present to resolve the dispute between the parties, Dallaleh has entered the narrative process to solve Rabia's personal problems
