    From the river to the sea? : honour, identity and politics in historical and contemporary Palestinian rejectionism

    The present thesis seeks to understand and explain the rhetoric and behaviour of the rejectionist 'current' within the Palestinian national movement. It proceeds from the view that extant scholarship, primarily from within the fields of terrorism and security studies, has profoundly misunderstood rejectionist speech and behaviour by ignoring the explanatory capacity of Emic - the research subject's perception - as well as the influence of the sociocultural milieu within which rejectionism exists. The thesis proceeds to set up a 'socioculturally sensitive' analytical framework drawn from social identity theory, a heuristic, non-reductionist model for understanding group interaction and conflict. Emphasizing cultural norms and cues identified by anthropologists as salient in the eastern Mediterranean, the thesis suggests that the social value of honour, patron-client dynamics and a firmly entrenched group orientation must be significant elements of a model for understanding rejectionist behaviour. The main analytical narrative suggests that for reasons derived from ideology, patron-client relations and group dynamics, what has distinguished the rejectionists from the mainstream have been a qualitatively different set of preconditions for, and objectives of diplomatic negotiations. To the main rejectionist factions the goal of liberating Palestine has always been inextricably intertwined with the goal of restoring national honour; one without the other has been impossible and to claim otherwise would mean a depletion of factional and personal honour. To the rejectionists, there has never been any question of deviating from the fundamental goals - national recognition, repatriation, self-determination and independent statehood, not even for tactical reasons. This 'higher standard' likely derives from their structurally and politically subordinate position within the national movement, and the need to creatively enhance their own social status and appeal

    The purpose of this study was to determine how the process of unite al-qur'an in blood and flesh in a person. This type of research is qualitative with literature review data sources. Meanwhile, this literature review is carried out in four stages consisting of: (1) searching for literature that is in accordance with the problem to be studied or researched by scanning the literature efficiently, using both manual and online methods, (2) assessing literature through a number of criteria, including the source itself, the author and the subject, (3) systematically examining and analyzing literature content, and (4) critically and deeply synthesizing literature content from literature such as the book or papers reviewed. For the research results, it can be seen that the Qur'an is one of the miracles and as the first revelation received by the Prophet. through the angel Gabriel. Al-Qur'an is also the culmination and closing of Allah's revelations for humans, and part of the pillars of faith, which was conveyed to the Prophet Muhammad. as a guide for humans in navigating life in the world. The Qur’an was revealed in three stages: first, the Qur’an was revealed by Allah to Lauh al-Mahfudz, second, the Qur’an was sent down from Lauh Mahfudz to Bait al-Izzah in the heavens of the world, and third, al- The Qur'an was revealed from Bayt al-Izzah to the Prophet Muhammad with the angel Jibril AS. Being ingrained in the Qur'an as a part of oneself can be done when a person is a child. Besides that, unite al-qur'an in blood and flesh is not only that the person must memorize the Qur'an, but all actions, behavior and speech must also reflect the Qur'an.     ABSTRAK Mencerdaskan anak bangsa merupakan semangat pendidikan nasional yang telah diamanahkan dalam pembukaan Undang-Undang 45. Makna kecerdasan dalam pendidikan ini menyentuh beberapa ranah kecerdasan. Benjamin S Bloom (1956) mencoba merumuskan tujuan pendidikan dalam tiga ranah yaitu, ranah kognitif, ranah afektif dan ranah psikomotor. Pada dasarnya ketiga ranah kecerdasan itu adalah saling mempengaruhi satu sama lain. Kecerdasan kognitif seseorang akan sangat besar implikasinya dalam pengambilan sikap yang menjadi wilayah kecerdasan afektif, yang kemudian mendorong individu untuk berani menciptakan sesuatu (ranah psikomotor). Pentingnya kecerdasan kognitif dalam wujudnya juga telah disampaikan dalam setiap ayat-ayat Al-qur’an sebagai kitab panduan umat muslim sedunia, yang disampaikan oleh Allah melalui Malaikat Jibril kepada Nabi Muhammad. Ayat-ayat al-Qur’an yang sarat akan pesan-pesan bermakna bagi manusia sedunia, bahkan dianggap wahyu terbesar sepanjang masa tidaklah mungkin diamanahkan oleh Allah kepada manusia biasa. Maka penunjukan Allah atas Nabi Muhammad menjadi satu misteri tersendiri tentang seberapa tingginya kecerdasan Kognitif Nabi Muhammad, sehingga mampu menerima ribuan ayat lalu menyampaikannya kepada orang lain dan berujung dengan pengaplikasian sempurna atas tiap ayat yang diterimanya. Disisi lain berbagai kesulitan dan keadaan menyedihkan telah dirasakannya sejak dilahirkan. Seorang tokoh Perkembangan Kognitif dari Swiss Jean Piaget, memberi sumbangan yang luar biasa terhadap dunia pendidikan, melalui teori perkembangan kognitif yang ditemukannya, dunia pendidikan akhirnya memperoleh cara yang tepat untuk mencerdaskan setiap generasi bangsa, dengan melakukan telaah dari tiap perkembangan usia tiap individu. Seperti yang disampaikan Jean Piaget dalam teorinya. Berangkat dari latar belakang itulah, penulis ingin meneliti lebih lanjut tentang “kecerdasan kognitif Nabi Muhammad menurut perspektif Jean Piaget”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kecerdasan kognitif Nabi Muhammad menurut teori perkembangan kognitif Jean Piaget sehingga mampu menjadi Rasulullah atau manusia pilihan. Adapun rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah fase perkembangan kognitif Nabi Muhammad menurut teori Jean Piaget, mencakup: Dasar awal kognitif; penginderaan, persepsi dan belajar. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perkembangan kognitif Nabi Muhammad.” Fokus masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah menganalisis perkembangan kognitif Nabi Muhammad pada usia 6-20 tahun (usia sebelum kenabian), serta menggali informasi tentang faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perkembangan Nabi Muhammad jauh sebelum risalah kenabian diterimanya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan, hal ini dilakukan karena penelitian ini dekat hubungannya dengan nilai-nilai sejarah. Maka tehnik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pengumpulan dokumen-dokumen yang menunjang dalam penulisan karya ilmiah ini. Kemudian dari dokumentasi tersebut dilakukan analisis dengan menggunakan content analysis. Dengan kerangka itu, dapat diketahui bahwa perkembangan kognitif Nabi Muhammad dalam teori Jean Piaget tetap melalui fase-fase sesuai usia perkembangannya. Mengingat fokus penelitian ini adalah perkembangan kognitif Nabi Muhammad di usia 6-20 tahun, maka dalam perspektif Jean Piaget, ada dua fase yang akan berlaku yaitu fase operasional konkrit dan fase operasional formal. Sama halnya dalam perspektif Islam, dalam hal ini penulis meminjam pemikiran dari Ibnu Jauzi, menurut penuturannya berdasarkan tafsir dari berbagai ayat al-qur’an seperti diantaranya surat Al-Baqarah 132-133, QS al-An’am ayat 73 dan beberapa ayat lainnya, juga menyebutkan beberapa fase perkembangan yang mutlak dilalui tiap anak manusia termasuk Nabi Muhammad sesuai usia perkembangannya. Tingginya kecerdasan kognitif Nabi Muhammad, pasti dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, dan dari hasil analisis yang dilakukan menyatakan bahwa ada 3 faktor yang mempengaruhi perkembangan Nabi Muhammad yaitu faktor hereditas (genetik), faktor lingkungan (meliputi keadaan geografis, dan nilai adat dan budaya yang berlaku di masyarakat tempat tinggal Nabi Muhammad), faktor ketentuan Allah SWT. Penulis berharap ada penelitian lanjutan sebagai respon positif atas penelitian ini, mengingat masih banyaknya permasalahan seputar pendidikan yang menyentuh berbagai wilayah penting pembangunan pendidikan. Kecerdasan kognitif tiap individu menjadi berbeda-beda tingkatannya mengingat banyaknya faktor yang mempengaruhi perkembangannya, maka tidak boleh ada penyetaraan sikap ataupun pendiskriminasian sikap yang akhirnya berdampak pada kemandekan atau lebih parah lagi trauma berkepanjangan terhadap kegiatan belajar bagi diri individu-individu generasi bangsa. ABSTRACT Educational nation’s children is a spirit of national education has been mandated in preamble of constitution 45. The meaning of intelligence is an effort to improve education authentic touches on some aspects of intelligence. Benjamin S Bloom (1956) formulate objectives educational in three domains there are, cognitive, affective domain and psychomotor domains. Basically, the third aspects of intelligence that is mutually influence each other. Cognitive intelligence of a person will be huge implications in taking the attitude that became the affective intelligence, which then encourages the individual to dare to create something (psychomotor domain). The importance of cognitive intelligence in his form has also been submitted in each verses the Qur’an as a guidance book of Muslims worldwide, Allah revealed through the Angel Gabriel to the Prophet Muhammad. Verses of the Qur’an are meaningful messages to the human world, even considered the greatest revelation of all time, that it is impossible to Allah’s mandate to a human ordinary. Allah appointed the Prophet Muhammad is a separate mystery about how the high level of his cognitive intelligence. Then he was able to receive thousands of verses and then pass it on to others and apply it perfectly on every verse he had received. besides, he has felt the difficulties and the plight since birth. A prominent Cognitive Development Swiss Jean Piaget, contributes to the extraordinary world of education, he through the discovery of the theory of cognitive development, finally, education obtain appropriate methods and treatment to educate every generation of the nation, by doing a review of each developmental age of each individual. As stated Jean Piaget in his theory. Based on the above reasons, the authors examined more about “cognitive intelligence of learners according to Islamic perspective in the case of Prophet Muhammad (analytical studies of Jean Piaget)”. This study aims to determine the cognitive intelligence of the Prophet Muhammad according to Jean Piaget’s cognitive developmental theory so as to be a Prophet or chosen human. The problem formulation in this study is “how cognitive developmental phase of the Prophet Muhammad according to Jean Piaget’s theory, which includes: Basic start cognitive; sensing, perception and learning? What are the factors that influence cognitive development of the Prophet Muhammad?. The problem focus in this study is to analyze the cognitive development of the Prophet Muhammad at the age of 6-20 years (age before prophethood), as well as collect information on factors that influence the development of the Prophet Muhammad a long time before receipt of the treatise of prophecy. This type of research is the literature research, this approach because the research is related to the values of history. Then the techniques of data collection in this study using the collection of documents that support the writing of this scientific work. Later analysis of the documentation is done by using Conten analysis and interpretation of sources and interpretation of data obtained from several mufassir. Based on the framework above, it is known that the Prophet Muhammad's cognitive development in Piaget’s theory remains through the phases of age-appropriate development. Given the focus of this study is the cognitive development of the Prophet Muhammad at the age of 6-20 years, then in Jean Piaget’s perspective, there are two phases that will effect the operational phase of concrete and formal operational phase. Similarly, in the perspective of Islam, in this case the author borrows the thought of Ibn Jawzi, according his statement based on interpretations of various verses such as the Qur’an surah Al-Baqarah 132-133, Surah al-An‘am paragraphs 73 and several other verses, also mentions some of the absolute phase of development that children go through each person, including the Prophet Muhammad’s age-appropriate development. The high cognitive intelligence of the Prophet Muhammad, definitely influenced by several factors, and the results of analysis carried out stating that there are three factors that influence the development of the Prophet Muhammad are the factors of heredity (genetic), environmental factors (including geographical, and cultural values and customs applicable in the residence of the Prophet Muhammad), Allah provision factors. The author hopes that this study, continued by the next research as. Considering the many issues around education that touches many important areas of education development. Cognitive intelligence of each individual into a different level, considering the many factors that influence its development, then there should be no discrimination or affirmative attitude of the attitude which ultimately affects the stagnation or worse prolonged trauma on learning activities for self-generation individuals of the nation. One of the obstacles is that sales problems are sometimes still one of the obstacles in achieving business goals, because the sales system is still done manually. To solve this problem, the author develops an electronic commerce using wordpress CMS. transactions are still carried out manually, the management of data dams is not yet structured and the lack of means of purchasing and paying online or through account transfers. Then built an Online Sales Information System at the Iwan Motor Shop (Tim2Srote) which will use the PHP programming language. With this system, it is hoped that it can help Iwan Motor Shop in marketing the sale of two-wheeled vehicles (motorcycles) online and quickly, so WordPress CMS is used. By applying the Rapid Application Development method to speed up preparation and shorter estimated time. And related to the problem of writing the Journal according to information obtained from Iwan Motor (Tim2store) Shop

    The Qur’an is a book that Allah revealed to the Prophet Muhammad through the Angel Jibril. The Qur'an is a guide to human life on Earth. So maintaining glory is a duty for all humans, especially Muslims in the world. One way to preserve the Qur’an is to read and memorize it and study the verses in it. Memorizing the Qur'an has many advantages. In fact, Allah promises to reward those who memorize the Qur'an with His heaven. In maintaining the sanctity of the Qur'an, SMP IP Al-Madinah is trying to create a program that focuses on the field of Tahfidzul Qur'an. The program is a grouping of students with a certain level of memorization into the Tahfidzul Qur'an halaqah according to their abilities. One of these programs is the excellence program for Tahfidzul Qur'an. The excellence Tahfidzul Qur'an program is a program that develops students' ability to memorize the Al-Qur'an with the aim of producing students who have good and extensive memorization. The aim of this research is to determine the strategies, methods and supporting and inhibiting factors of Tahfidzul Qur'an as an excellence program at SMP IP Al-Madinah Nogosari. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data taken in this research is in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research are SMP IP's strategy for developing students' potential in the field of Al-Qur'an by creating an excellence program for Tahfidzul Qur'an. The memorization method applied is the talaqqi method, namely the teacher meets directly with the student. The target that excellence halaqah students must achieve is 2 juz in one semester. There are several factors that support and inhibit the implementation of this program, namely internal factors and external factors. The author hopes that this research will be useful for schools, universities and memorizers of the Al-Quran. And the author also provides suggestions for using this research as best as possible and for future researchers to develop research in the field of the Al-Qur'a

    Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of Health Care Workers Towards the Care of the Elderly in PHCC Mubi South Local Government Area of Adamawa State, Nigeria

    Aging is a universal phenomenon that is obvious as well as inevitable. Old age is a significant stage in life and normally related to life expectancy of given area, hence the conditions and the needs of the aged becomes imperative. Care of the elderly is the fulfillment of the special needs and requirements that are unique to senior citizens. It covers such services as assisted living, adult day care, long term care, nursing homes, hospice care and home care. This study was aimed to assessed knowledge, attitude and practice of health care workers towards the care of the elderly in PHCC Mubi South Local Government Area of Adamawa State. A cross-sectional research design was employed with 108 sampled calculated using Yamane’s formula. Proportionate allocation and simple random sampling technique was adopted to select the HCW from each PHCC. The structured interviewer questionnaire was used to collect data. An ethical approval was obtained and permission granted for the study. Data was analyzed using SPSS version 22.0 where the results has been and presented in tables and diagrams. The study revealed that there is good knowledge (82%), attitude (65%) and practice (64%) of the care of the elderly. Healthcare workers’ knowledge, attitude and practice play a major role in the care of the elderly at PHCC and concerns authorities should continue to support the care of the elderly.&nbsp

    Konsep Penggabungan Antara NJOP dan Nilai Pasar dalam Pengadaan Tanah untuk Kepentingan Umum

    Abstract: Land Acquisition for Development in the Public Interest in Indonesia still often causes polemic, as is still often found in various mass media. The problem in the implementation of land aquisition is because the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 2 of 2012 concerning Land Aquisition for Development in the Public Interest, and the Presidential Regulation that follows it, has not rigidly stipulated the basis for determining the compensation value used to determine the compensation value. This research was conducted by making a comparison between ius constitutum and in concreto events in the field. Primary data in this study were obtained byinterviewing several sources in August 2017, which can be accounted for, while the secondary data were obtained byliterature studies. Based on the research, it is known that there is injustice in determining the value of compensation to the entitled parties. Seeing this, the author tried to describe the existing problems and provide solutions tailored to the situation and conditions in land aquisition in Indonesia. This was intended to actualize the value of social justice in the aquisition of land for development in the public interest in Indonesia.Intisari: Pengadaan Tanah bagi Pembangunan untuk Kepentingan Umum di Indonesia masih sering menimbulkan polemik, sebagaimana yang masih kerap ditemui dalam berbagai media massa. Permasalahan dalam pelaksanaan pengadaan tanah disebabkan karena Undang-Undang Republik Indonesia Nomor 2 Tahun 2012 tentang Pengadaan Tanah Bagi Pembangunan Untuk Kepentingan Umum, serta Peraturan Presiden yang mengikutinya belum mengatur secara rigid tentang dasar penetapan nilai ganti kerugian yang digunakan untuk menetapkan nilai ganti kerugian. Kajian ini dilakukan dengan melakukan komparisi antara ius constitutum dengan peristiwa in concreto yang ada di lapangan. Data primer dalam kajian ini diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dari beberapa narasumber pada Agustus 2017 yang dapat dipertanggungjawabkan dan data sekunder dalam kajian ini diperoleh dari studi kepustakaan. Berdasarkan penelitian diketahui bahwa terdapat ketidakadilan dalam penetapan nilai ganti kerugian terhadap pihak-pihak yang berhak. Melihat hal tersebut penulis mencoba menguraikan permasalahan yang ada dan memberikan solusi yang disesuaikan dengan situasi dan kondisi dalam pengadaan tanah di Indonesia.     Transcendental Approach into Danarto’s Selected Short Stories

    This study aimed to analyze the transcendental approach depicted in selected short stories written by Danarto. This approach seeks to show how far the transcendental approach has colored the anthology of short stories written by Danarto (1992) and how that approach described through his works. Generally, the resulting works relies on tasawuf kejawen obtained through spiritual, religious, mystic, mystical, and divine experience into themes in each of his works. There are five short stories that made the object of research were anthology of godlob, anthology of Adam Ma’rifat, anthology of Berhala, anthology of Gergasi and anthology of Setangkai Melati di Sayap Jibril. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative through content analysis techniques refers to Fraenkel and Wallen (2012) stating that content analysis is a technique used to assess human behavior indirectly in some short stories written by Danarto. The results of this study showed that the transcendental approach was seen in the short stories produced by Danarto through characters, symbols, the absurdity of the story, the meaning of the story itself, the formation of a separate world not limited by the author’s space, time and events and personal experiences. This showed that the author in producing his works tends to position himself as a creature of Allah Almighty and his unification with Allah Almighty becomes the highest point in his fusion with the Creator of Universe.   Keywords: trancendental, Short Stories, Creator of Univers

    INDONESIA: Pendidikan pada hakekatnya tidak sekedar mengarahkan anak didik pada aspek kognitif saja, akan tetapi aspek-aspek lain juga perlu dikembangkan termasuk kemampuan anak didik dalam hal afektif dan psikomotorik. Berkenaan dengan upaya meningkatkan pemahaman Al-Qur’an di PIQ menerapkan pembelajaran Al-Qur’an Integratif. Hal ini dikarenakan yang mana banyaknya orang yang membaca Al-Qur’an tetapi meninggalkan aspek tajwidnya dan tidak mengerti isi yang terkandung didalamnya.Pesantren Ilmu Al- Qur’an Singosari Malang merupakan salah satu Pesantren modern, akan tetapi tetap menjaga nilai- nilai spiritual bahkan meningkatkan melalui program-program pembelajarannya. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk a). mengetahui proses pembelajaran Integratif di PIQ, b). mengetahui metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan dalam meningkatkan pemahaman santrinya terhadap isi atau kandungan yang ada didalam Al-Qur’an serta untuk c). mengetahui Hasil yang dicapai dalam pembelajaran Integratif di PIQ Singosari Malang. Penelitian yang penulis lakukan ini adalah termasuk dalam penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Dalam perjalanan mengumpulkan data, penulis menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan untuk analisisnya, penulis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Dan pengecekan keabsahan datanya menggunakan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan penulis dapat disampaikan bahwasannya a) pembelajaran Al-Qur'an Integratif di PIQ Singosari Malang, adalah suatu pembelajaran yang mana dalam proses pembelajarannya selain mempelajari bacaan dan tajwidnya disini juga mempelajari bahasanya yaitu bahasa Arab. Hal itu dilakukan supaya santri selain dapat membaca Al-Qur’an dengan baik dan benar santri juga diharapkan mampu memahami isi yang terkandung didalamnya. Dalam pembelajaran Integratif menggunakan metode Jibril dan klasikal.Metode Jibril, yaitu talqin dan taqlid. Dimana dalam hal ini guru memberikan contoh lalu murid menirukannya. Disebut metode Jibril karena proses pembelajarannya diadopsi dari cara malaikat Jibril menyampaikan ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an kepada Nabi Muhammad SAW. Dan Nabi mengajarkannya pada sahabat-sahabat nabi yang juga murid atau santri-santri Nabi. Metode ini berlandaskan Al-Qur’an itu sendiri, dalam pelaksanaannya metode jibril ini di Pesantren Ilmu Al-Qur’an di Integrasikan dengan pembelajaran bahsa Arab yang mana dalam proses pembelajarannya metode jibril diterapkan terlebih dahuli secara talqin-talqid yaitu dengan cara guru memberi contoh lalau santri menirukannya. Setelah itu baru pembelajaran bahasa Arab diterapkan guna menunjang kemampuan siswa atau santri dalam memahami arti atau isi yang terkandung didalam Al-Qur’an. b) Dengan diintegrasikannya pembelajaran Al- Qur’an dengan pembelajaran bahasa Arab maka tampak adanya indikasi meningkatnya kemampuan santri dalam membaca dan memahami isi Al-Qur’an. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil evaluasi atau nilai raport selama satu periode, dimana nilai rata-rata semester genap lebih tinggi dari semester ganjil. Hal ini sesuai dengan apa yang dicita-citakan oleh Pengasuh PIQ Singosari Malang. ENGLISH: Education is essentially not only to direct the students on cognitive aspects only, but other aspects also need to be developed include the ability of their students in terms of affective and psychomotor. With regard to efforts to increase understanding of the Qur'an in PIQ apply Integrative learning the Quran. This is because of where the number of people who read the Qur'an but leave tajwidnya aspect and do not understand the content contained didalamnya.Pesantren Qur'anic Studies Singosari Malang is one of modern boarding school, but still maintain spiritual values even improve through learning programs.     A Cross-Sectional Survey of Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices Toward Mpox Among One Health Stakeholders in Nigeria

    Mpox has re-emerged as a global public health threat, particularly in endemic regions such as Nigeria, where human, animal, and environmental health sectors intersect. To inform surveillance and control strategies, this study assessed the knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) toward Mpox among One Health stakeholders in Nigeria. A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 492 participants from human, veterinary, and environmental health sectors using a structured questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, ordinal logistic regression, and margins analysis were used to evaluate levels and predictors of KAP. Results showed that 33.7% of respondents had low knowledge, 43.5% moderate, and 22.8% high. While 62.6% demonstrated high attitude scores, only 48.2% reported moderate preventive practices. Gender was significantly associated with attitudes, with females having lower odds of expressing higher attitudes than males (OR = 0.70, 95% CI: 0.49–1.00, p = 0.052), and margins analysis revealed a predicted probability of high attitude at 56% for females and 64% for males. Multivariable modeling for practice was not pursued because model fit did not improve compared to univariable results, and sparse data led to unstable estimates, thus offering no added explanatory power. These findings underscore persistent knowledge gaps and gender-related disparities that may hinder effective Mpox response. Targeted risk communication and capacity building are recommended to strengthen One Health preparedness in Nigeria
