Allama Iqbal's work is rich in wisdom and sagacity. Iqbal's prudence appears in his key concepts expressed both in prose and verse. He keenly observed the issues related to mankind. He not only observed them intensly but also presented remedial course of action against them. Plenty of places especially in his verse he presented his viewpoint to handle these issues amicably. Iqbal's wisdom is of divinely nature. His work has also tinge of psychological treatment. This article covers Iqbal's understanding of the human issues and their remedies in light of his poetry.

This article analytically examines the text of "Asrar-e Khudi", AllamaIqbal's first book of Persian verse. In this regard, the last edition printed in Iqbal's life has been made the basis for examining the various changes incorporated by him over the years. More importantly, deviations from the handwritten manuscript and first edition have been highlighted. It not only brings to light the hardwork and labour which Iqbal put in but also the various stages through which the text has passed

Goli Taraghi is a representative modern fictionist of Iran. She hasintroduced new trends in Iranian fiction. Her fiction works abound with the element of reminiscence. This aspect does not only depict changes in her personal life but also represents changes caused by Irani Revolution. She often suffers from nostalgia in her fiction but her positive thinking saves her from disappointment and her short stories turn to loving the past positively. It is worth mentioning here that aspect of reminiscence is woven in her fiction while carrying all technicalities of fiction. This article covers the aforementioned aspect and it is the first piece of research in Urdu

Fort William College played a very significant role in the spread of Urdu language. Many a book published under the influence of this College. Baital Pachisi and Sanghasan Battisi were two famous books on folklore which also got published from here. This article analyses the style and content of these two books. The article focuses their philosophical traits besides shedding lights on their dealings of folk wisdom from different aspects like socio-politic, societal and finally feminine. Moreover, the article studies the religious and ethical points presented in them. A comparative study has also been made between both books side by side study of their Hindi mix style

This article reviews selected Patch-verse of Urdu poets after the establishment of Pakistan. The origin and source of base verse has been traced and poetic beauties resulted by Patch-verse have also been highlighted. After Pakistan's emergence, the select poets have not only composed Patch-verse employing classical poetry but also presented beautifully Patch-verse composition of rather modern poets of twentieth century. This article is a unique study of different aspects of Patch-verse and sheds light on Patch-verse of some of Urdu's note-worthy poets.

Allama Iqbal was the distinguished poet and thinker in 20th century. He used many literary devices to convey his thoughts. Allusion(Talmeeh) is one of them. Historical allusion is a reference, usually within a speech or a piece of writing, to people or events that have historical significance and carry certain ideas along with them. If we analyse the poetry of Iqbal , the use of historical allusion is found in most of the poems and Ghazals. In this article humble effort is made to point out the historical allusion in Iqbal's poetry through poetic examples
Incidence of Phlebitis with Intravascular Cannulas in Surgical Patients during the Postoperative Period
Background: Peripheral intravenous cannulation (PIVC) is a routine invasive procedure being done on both medical and surgical patients. Phlebitis is its most widespread complication. The objective of this study was to determine the incidence of phlebitis with PIVC in surgical patients post-operatively.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in surgical units of Benazir Bhutto Hospital and Holy Family Hospital, Rawalpindi from 19th Feb 2018 to 1st April 2018. A total of 222 postoperative patients, with a PIVC in situ, were inspected. Patients who had elective surgical procedures were included, while patients with emergency surgeries, minor surgical procedures or active bloodstream infections were excluded from this study. Twenty-two entries were discarded because of incomplete documentation. Data was analyzed using SPSS, Chi-squared test was applied, and p ≤0.05 was considered statistically significant.
Results: Median age (years) of the samples was 35, 110(55%) were males and 90(45%) females. The upper limb veins were more frequently cannulized 197(98.5%), with the dorsum of the hand being the most common site. Most of the cannulas were being used for the administration of intravenous fluids and medications 136(68%). Only 12(6%) of the inspected cannula sites showed signs of phlebitis and were treated by removal only.
Conclusion: In our study, post-operative rate of cannula site phlebitis discovered was 6%. This is marginally more than global principles of 5%, set up by Infusion Nursing Society (INS) for any given population. Although, this has been lessened from a reference range of 21.9% - 51.49% in the course for the last few decades.
