Redesign Terminal Terpadu Pinang Baris
The project chosen by the author is a terminal facility which is located at Pinang
Baris Terminal. The Pinang Baris Terminal serves public transport vehicles with a
route west to the Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD) Region. The problems found
were unified vehicle circulation, less strategic departure and arrival areas, and a lack
of a number of standard facilities not found at the Pinang Baris Bus Terminal, such
as the absence of a health post, bus maintenance and washing areas and the absence
of barriers between vehicle traffic and passengers. Other facilities required by the
regulations are available, although not all of them function properly, many of the
facilities are damaged or unused, such as waiting rooms which are rarely used by
passengers while waiting for the bus. On this project which is the scope of the design
consists of designing the terminal in accordance with the regulations, laws and
provisions of the Government, redesigning the Pinang Baris Terminal according to
the predetermined land area, and expanding the terminal. In designing this project,
the authors apply and follow the laws and regulations regarding terminals in design,
so that the Pinang Baris Integrated Terminal can become a terminal that complies
with terminal standards. With this application to the project, it is hoped that the author
will be able to produce design solutions that can provide comfort for users and make
the Pinang Baris Integrated Terminal a standard-compliant terminal108 HalamanSkripsi Sarjan
Occupational Fatalities in Shipyards: an Analysis in Turkey
This study investigates the Turkish shipyard fatalities for a span of 10 years between January 2000 and July 2011 by applying the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) technique. Detailed survey was conducted at Turkish shipyards located in Tuzla, Istanbul region. It was carried out by analysing a workplace questionnaire appropriate for the AHP technique. The purpose of this questionnaire was to determine the order of importance for precautions to be taken. Classifi cation of fatal occupational accidents revealed fi ve major fatality reasons for shipyards; namely, falling from higher elevation, exposure to electric shock, fi re and/or explosion, being struck by or struck against objects, and being caught in between. Five precautions were determined for each fatal accident group

First record of the genus Baris Germar, 1817 (Coleoptera: Curculionidae), in Dominican amber
A new weevil species – Baris grossacavis Poinar
and Legalov, sp. nov. (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) – is described
from Dominican amber. The new species is close to
Baris rubripes Casey, 1892, but differs by possessing large
punctures over much of its body, including the pronotum;
elytral intervals with rows of narrow scales, and narrow elytral
intervals.
The fossil is the first record of the subfamily Baridinae
from any amber source and the first record from the Miocene. This is the publisher’s final pdf. Evaluasi Karakteristik Parkir Bus Tipe A Di Terminal Pinang Baris sebagai Terminal Bus Tipe A
This study was conducted to determine how the condition Pinang Baris Terminal currently associated with the characteristics of parking. This study uses a field survey by direct observation in Terminal Pinang Baris by spreading surveyor at certain points in order to facilitate the recording of data in order to obtain a valid observation. Direct observation is done by manually recording the arrival time data and exit the bus, license plate number, and the name of the bus company. Research analysis using Microsoft Exel. Results of identification and field research has been on the analysis shows a maximum level of parking characteristics in Pinang Baris Terminal and it is known that there are three issues that must be resolved. First, the buildup of bus parking AKDP manifold small and MPU bus that we can see on the pictures and the documentation of the calculation in the Parking Index. Secondly, the vehicle bus parking AKDP which do not in place and this can be seen in the image documentation. Third, when the AKAP bus will maneuver to get into the parking lot AKAP bus, it takes quite a long time and could hinder other transport to pass. In this thesis, the author has provided solutions to three problems are found, because it must be found a solution that does not affect the operational performance in the future Pinang Baris Terminal
Job Satisfaction among Academic Staff in Faculty of a Reputable Turkish University: Past and Present
This paper examines the change of the determinants of job satisfaction and the commitment among the academic staff between the years 2002 and 2014, in a faculty of a distinguished Turkish university in different age, gender, and positional tenure groups. A questionnaire was filled in by 35 academic staff in 2002 and by 39 academic staff in 2014. The analyses of two different time survey data revealed that positional tenure, age, gender, compensation, and marital status, have different effects during the 12 years period of time
Numerical computation of the interaction of surface waves with submarine pit breakwaters
849-858Present
study consists the interaction of surface waves with submarine pit breakwaters. A vertically-integrated nonlinear dispersive wave model with
inclusion of a semi-empirical wave breaking effect, in non-orthogonal
curvilinear coordinate system is used for simulating waves. The
staggered grid system is used. Matrix equation of the finite difference method
is solved through an iterative approach at each time step. Numerical method results in implicit
formulations for the momentum equations and explicit formulation for the
continuity equation. The numerical model has been validated through comparisons
of computational results with experimental measurements of the wave propagation
over an asymmetrical trapezoidal bar, over shoals and the regular wave
diffraction results for rectangular pit. Simulations show an acceptable level
of agreement and give confidence for practical applications.

Numerical study of ship motions and added resistance in regular incident waves of KVLCC2 model
AbstractIn this study, the numerical investigation of ship motions and added resistance at constant forward velocity of KVLCC2 model is presented. Finite volume CFD code is used to calculate three dimensional, incompressible, unsteady RANS equations. Numerical computations show that reliable numerical results can be obtained in head waves. In the numerical analyses, body attached mesh method is used to simulate the ship motions. Free surface is simulated by using VOF method. The relationship between the turbulence viscosity and the velocities are obtained through the standard k − ε turbulence model. The numerical results are examined in terms of ship resistance, ship motions and added resistance. The validation studies are carried out by comparing the present results obtained for the KVLCC2 hull from the literature. It is shown that, ship resistance, pitch and heave motions in regular head waves can be estimated accurately, although, added resistance can be predicted with some error
FREE SURFACE FLOW SIMULATION AROUND AN APPENDED SHIP HULL
This study brings forward the results of previously published work of free surface flow simulation around a fast ship model. Experimental measurements and numerical simulations of a fast bare-hull ship model form are now extended to the same ship form with appendices for a wide range of Froude numbers. The governing equations are discretized by means of an unstructured finite volume mesh. The standard k-ε turbulence model and Volume of Fluid Method to capture the two phase media are used. The total resistance, due to wave and wake fields of the ship model with appendages and the resistance of the appendages alone are calculated numerically, and compared with the experiments. The experiments and computations were performed for 11 different Froude numbers between 0.103 and 0.322. For Froude numbers up to 0.25, numerical simulations found to be quite in agreement with the experiments. It has been found that appendages increase the total drag mainly by increasing the pressure resistance, and the effect of the appendages becomes more important as the flow speed gets higher
Pellet in the stomach: Where did it come from?
AbstractGunshot might have unexpected findings in the victim owing to the ballistics of the injury. The trajectory of the bullet plays a central role in the surprising findings in gunshot injuries. We are presenting a case with pellets seen in the stomach after a gunshot
