O ‘cygańìtko flamenko’ gaʒitkones Polskaθe – so si and-i literatùra pe Polskaqëri gaʒìtko ćhib
The article outlines Polish literature dedicated to the phenomenon of flamenco. An author not only presents the state of research on flamenco in Poland, but also refers readers both to the earliest and to the most popular works on flamenco functioning abroad. While analyzing Polish literature Piotrowska asks a question about general attitude of Polish authors towards the issue of ‘Gypsyness’ of flamenco and presents how Polish writers treat Gypsy roots of flamenco. The author concludes that in Polish literature – comprising a few articles and books – Gypsy connotations of flamenco are usually duly underlined. At the same time, Piotrowska states that Polish literature on flamenco is dominated by practical approach focusing on performantive practices (dance, instrumental play), rather than on historic or aesthetic perspective. The author stresses the absence of Polish translations of important books on flamenco, however she also acknowledges the role Polish Internet sites play in promoting the Gypsy aspect of flamenco phenomenon.Natalia Gancar
Social inequalities in young people’s conduct problems: informing intervention development
It can be claimed that modern European musical culture contributed to the crystalliza-tion and dissemination of a certain stereotype of a Gypsy person, and contributed to the creation of the highly romanticised Gypsy myth. The author of the paper – Anna G. Piotrowska, shows how 19th century operas, operettas or instrumental works helped to propagate the image of the stereotyped Gypsy, and ventures to prove that also pop music heavily draws on the same stereotype. Of special interest for her is Polish 20th and 21st century situation where conventionalized picture of Gypsies was conveyed and even a subgenre called Gypsy disco polo emerged. The author summarizes her observations by defining these specific features attributed to the widely understood ‘Gypsyness’ that assure its popularity in the realm of musical culture
Disharmony Between the Poem and the Text of the Song in Marek Grechuta’s Creation of Landscape of Hope
In this paper, the author outlines the cultural and social context of Grechuta’s work, and answers the question: why research a song as a literary genre? Attention is drawn to the inequalities between certain concepts in the Polish language: song, poet, songwriter, singer and song lyrics, which is the main topic of interest in this article. The author analyzes Marek Grechuta’s book of poetry and a music album of the same title, Landscape of Hope. The author describes the role of music in the lyrics of the song. In the article, she uses a literary tool as well as elements from the theory of music and the analysis of a musical work – giving the research an interdisciplinary character. In the conclusion, she emphasizes that it is as worthwhile to focus on researching song in Poland as it is to research poetry

,,Grechuta z Chopina jest i basta!”. Ślady Chopina we wczesnej lirycznej twórczości Marka Grechuty
In this article the author examines the influence of Fryderyk Chopin’s work and style on the early work of Marek Grechuta based on his 1970 concept album Marek Grechuta & Anawa. The author claims that Grechuta’s early work can be classified as lyrical. She outlines common features, such as: poetic musical language, references to Romantic traditions, motifs from Polish folk music and references to jazz music. She then points to and discusses specific songs from the album in which Chopin’s influence resounds: Wesele [The wedding], W dzikie wino zaplątani [Tangled in Ivy], Zadymka [Blizzard], Będziesz moją panią [You Shall Be My Lady]. Following Wojciech Majewski, she defines the representative Grechutian waltz variety inspired by the singer’s work. In reference to Grechuta’s perception as a “tender poet,” she discusses the lyrics from the first album, which were published in two volumes of poetry — pointing out the differences between them. The author uses literary and musicological analysis in her work, focusing on music studies and song studies.W niniejszym artykule autorka bada wpływ twórczości i stylu Fryderyka Chopina na wczesną twórczość Marka Grechuty na podstawie jego pierwszego albumu koncepcyjnego Marek Grechuta & Anawa z 1970 roku.
Understanding the relationship between family income and conduct problems: findings from the mental health of children and young people survey
Background:
Children from low-socioeconomic backgrounds exhibit more behavioural difficulties than those from more affluent families. Influential theoretical models specify family stress and child characteristics as mediating this effect. These accounts, however, have often been based on cross-sectional data or longitudinal analyses that do not capture all potential pathways, and therefore may not provide good policy guidance.
Methods:
In a UK representative sample of 2399 children aged 5–15, we tested mediation of the effect of household income on parent and teacher reports of conduct problems (CP) via unhealthy family functioning, poor parental mental health, stressful life events, child physical health and reading ability. We applied cross-lagged longitudinal mediation models which allowed for testing of reciprocal effects whereby the hypothesised mediators were modelled as outcomes as well as predictors of CP.
Results:
We found the predicted significant longitudinal effect of income on CP, but no evidence that it was mediated by the child and family factors included in the study. Instead, we found significant indirect paths from income to parental mental health, child physical health and stressful life events that were transmitted via child CP.
Conclusion:
The results confirm that income is associated with change in CP but do not support models that suggest this effect is transmitted via unhealthy family functioning, parental mental health, child physical health, stressful life events or reading difficulties. Instead, the results highlight that child CP may be a mediator of social inequalities in family psychosocial functioning

W ciągu ostatnich kilkudziesięciu lat zostało zgromadzonych wiele danych ukazujących związek czynników psychoemocjonalnych z powstawaniem i rozwojem chorób somatycznych, w tym nadciśnieniu tętniczym.
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction).

Abstract
This article aims to draw attention to the role of psychological factors in morbidity, progression, as well as in the treatment of hypertension. Psychological factors, especially how a person regulates negative emotions, can contribute to the increased risk of cardiovascular disease or exacerbation of these diseases.
Over the past several decades, many data have been collected showing the relationship of psycho-emotional factors to the development and development of somatic diseases, including hypertension. More and more research shows that emotional regulation is associated with the occurrence and severity of hypertension.
The consequence of this knowledge is the search for psychosocial interventions that could lead to a reduction in blood pressure in hypertensive people. Among them, preliminary research deals with such interventions as meditation training including transcendental meditation, slow breath training, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) training. In these training sessions hope is also given in cases where it is difficult to normalize the pressure values with only normotensive drugs.
