    This is a recording of two men, Saipul Bahri and Mahrozi. Saipul Bahri, called Epol, is a 42 year old fisherman who was born and raised in Pondo Perasi. He finished elementary school and is married to a woman from Tanjung Karang, Ampenan. He spends one month every year staying in North Lombok for fishing. Mahrozi is 31 years old, born and grew up in Pondok Prasi, married to a woman from Cakra, a subdistrict of Mataram municipility. He finished middle school. The conversation revolves around Epol sharing his experience on fishing during the period when machines have not been available. He narrates the challenges fishermen were facing. The oconversation ends with Khairunnisa collecting metadata from the speakers. Muhammad Jaelani assisted with the recording.     AHMAD YANI: The test of pulley diameter on pulp maker machine supervised by SAIPUL BAHRI DAULAY and AINUN ROHANAH. One of process to find the machine velocity in processing of paper to become pulp is by testing its pulley diameter. This study was aimed to determine the effect of pulley diameter of pulp maker machine. The parameters measured were the effective capacity of machine, yield, and the percentage of loose material. This research was conducted from June to August 2016 at Agricultural Engineering Laboratory Agricultural Faculty University of Sumatera Utara,Medan.     DIDY HIKMAH UTAMA : Testing of Various Types of Plastic Materials in Plastic Waste Processing Device using Coconut Shell Fuel, supervised by SAIPUL BAHRI DAULAY and AINUN ROHANAH. The decrease of fossil resources and increase population are very contradictive to energy consume for human life and social economy activity. So, alternative energy is needed which environment friendly by the use of plastic waste as fuel. This research as aimed to compare fuel from plastic (Polyethylene), cosmetic bottle (HDPE) and aqua Bottle (PET) with kerosene. This research was done in Agriculture Engineering Laboratory, and in Physical Chemistry Laboratory of MIPA and Heat Engine Laboratory Faculty of Engineering in August 2014 until finish using completely randomized non factorial design with plastic (Polyethylene), cosmetic bottle (HDPE) and aqua Bottle (PET). The parameters analysed were yield, value of heat and viscosity. The process in making soya bean to be soya milk is an interesting thing to know. This research was held to design, to construct, to test, and to analyze economic value of essence maker on soya bean. The parameter observed were effective capacity, yield percentage, and economic analysis. Based on this research, it was summerized that the effective capacity of this equipment was 6,18 kg/hour.     Rio Baruna Sirait (100308064) dengan judul skrispsi “Uji Jarak Silinder Pengepress Terhadap Kualitas Emping Melinjo Pada Alat Pencetak Keripik Biji-Bijian ”. Dibimbing oleh Ibu Ainun Rohanah, STP, M. Si dan Bapak Ir. Saipul Bahri Daulay, M.Si. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji jarak silinder pengepress terhadap kualitas emping pada alat pencetak keripik biji-bijian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa emping melinjo yang dihasilkan dikategorikan pada kualitas 2, yaitu bentuk tidak seragam, berwarna putih tetapi tidak bening, ketebalan seragam, dan bisa langsung digoreng setelah selesai dicetak. Rendemen tertinggi dihasilkan pada perlakuan R3yaitu sebesar 83% dan terendah pada perlakuan R1yaitu sebesar 78,2%.Kapasitas olah tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan R3 yaitu sebesar 3,01 kg/jam dan terendah pada perlakuan R1yaitu sebesar 2,61 kg/jam.60 HalamanSkripsi Sarjan

Drying is an important activity in pickling food presentation, as well as in agriculture product industry. The easiest and cheapest way to do drying is with sun light or sundrying. To overcome the sunlight limitation, a sunlight fish drying was had to guarantee the fish higenity. This research was aimed to test moisture content of pora-pora fish using fish dryer machine (cabinet type) and calculated the organoleptic value of the result. This research had been conducted at agriculture engineering laboratory, faculty of agriculture USU in December 2014 until March 2015 using pora-pora fish. Parameters observed were moisture content and organoleptic test.     DITA ANASTASIA SARAH ZURENAHUSLA: Activated Carbon from Tea Waste to Increase Water’s Physical Quality, supervised by AINUN ROHANAH and SAIPUL BAHRI DAULAY. The research was aimed to know water’s physical quality after activated carbon applicated which has been roasted carbonized and activated with H- 3PO4and to know the percentation of moisture content, ash content and vollatile matter of activated carbon which appropriate with quality standard of activated carbon. The research was done in Agricultural Engineering Laboratory Agriculture Faculty University of North Sumatera from February till April 2016. The method of the research was experimental and literature studying from related sourceswith the experiment,and moisture content, ash content, vollatile matter and water’s physical quality were tested. The results proved that the application of activated carbon to Deli river water could fix and increase water’s physical quality with the quality standard of moisture content and ash content of 5,35% and 5,20% respectively.53 HalamanSkripsi Sarjan
